In 2019, Fratello Cigars released a sampler known as the Fratello Space Pack. In that sampler were two unreleased blends: Sorella and Arlequín. Following the sampler release and based on the feedback received, Sorella and Arlequín were added to the Fratello portfolio. Sorella would be launched in the international market, while Arlequín would focus on the U.S. market. Although the blend remained the same, the Arlequín would be adjusted into a box-pressed format. Felix non fu solo uno dei più grandi compositori dell'epoca romantica, fu a dir poco un miracolo. Pensate al suo ottetto, alle sue musiche di scena per Sogno di una notte di mezza estate, alla sua musica da camera, alle sue sinfonie, alla sua musica per pianoforte, ai suoi oratori. Quanti altri compositori come lui conoscete? Senza dimenticare che compose ogni cosa in soli 38 anni: questa fu infatti l'età in cui morì. Eppure, anche accanto a un colosso come Felix, Fanny tiene testa. Se fosse vissuta in un'epoca in cui le donne non erano così emarginate, e se non fosse morta all'età di 41 anni, avrebbe potuto godere del riconoscimento e del rispetto che meritava. Ma oggi sferreremo un piccolo colpo a suo favore. Non possiamo correggere quasi due secoli di dimenticanza in un solo giorno, ma insieme possiamo scoprire di più sulla meravigliosa musica composta da questa donna straordinaria. Piccola biografia di Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel Fanny Mendelssohn (che prese il nome di Mendelssohn-Hensel dopo il suo matrimonio nel 1829) nacque il 14 novembre 1805 ad Amburgo, in Germania. Era la maggiore di quattro figli di una distinta famiglia ebrea. Suo padre era nipote del filosofo Moses Mendelssohn. (Si noti che, a causa delle norme sociali osservate da alcuni ebrei tedeschi all'epoca, i piccoli Mendelssohn e i loro genitori furono battezzati e divennero luterani nel 1816.) Serena Dellamore cresce a Cesena, in una grande e allegra casa, popolata di donne. Suo padre ha una ditta di trasporti, la famiglia è benestante, ma vivono nel culto del risparmio, negandosi ogni godimento. Quando nasce la sorellina di Serena, i genitori vendono la ditta di trasporti e iniziano a gestire un albergo nella riviera romagnola. In quel periodo, allentano le redini sulle figlie, che iniziano a spendere più liberamente, ma loro continuano a non concedersi nulla. Nel 1998, il destino di questa allegra e rumorosa famiglia romagnola cambia per sempre. Serena ha 22 anni e la sua sorellina, quindicenne, Roberta, muore tragicamente investita da un'auto. Sembra blasfemo raccontare di soldi quando c'è di mezzo la morte, ma è il punto di vista di questo podcast e Serena ha accettato di farlo. «Quando lei è morta c'è stato un momento in cui mio padre si è reso conto che era assurdo aver accumulato per tanti anni senza mai averne goduto. La frase che disse fu: “Ecco, abbiamo sbagliato a non prendere mai un aereo quando era viva la Roberta perché dicevamo che non ce lo potevamo permettere”». Per sua madre, però, subentra presto un altro tipo di condizionamento. «Se lei andava al bar o al ristorante, se si comprava un vestito nuovo, aveva paura che qualcuno pensasse che stesse soffrendo meno». In quel momento di forte sofferenza, i suoi genitori hanno la lucidità anche di fare un'importante scelta di business. Un anno dopo la morte di Roberta, l'Hotel Zeus diventa il primo albergo gay d'Italia. «Paradossalmente, il dolore della mia famiglia incontrava molto il dolore e le difficoltà di vita che questi uomini ancora incontravano nel vivere apertamente la loro omosessualità». Con la stessa lucidità con cui trova il modo per tenere in vita la propria attività, la famiglia di Serena inizia una battaglia legata al risarcimento economico dato alle famiglie delle vittime. «L'unica cosa che alla famiglia del colpevole interessava era che non si superasse il massimale che lui aveva con le assicurazioni perché così non dovevano tirar fuori dei soldi di tasca loro». Il risarcimento viene definito in base a delle tabelle in cui vengono valutati diversi parametri. La famiglia Dellamore ottiene che sia inserito, per la prima volta, tra quei parametri, il danno esistenziale. «E quindi abbiamo superato il massimale dei 2 miliardi e la famiglia ha dovuto coprire a sue spese la restante parte. Paradossalmente io mi sono dovuta giocare la dignità e la vita di mia sorella dal punto di vista economico». Con i soldi ottenuti per quasi vent'anni i genitori di Serena hanno portato avanti un'associazione nazionale per fare pressione sulle istituzioni affinché si occupassero di sicurezza e prevenzione. E per prestare soccorso psicologico e legale ai familiari delle vittime della strada. Affinché la sopraffazione del dolore non li inibisse dall'esigere giustizia.
