In this episode, Eric sits down with actress, filmmaker & artist Angela Robinson Witherspoon. They discuss her early exposure to art and her experience of living in the Netherlands as young girl. How she followed her heart to live a life in the arts. Studying art, taking jobs where she used her artistic abilities, being a model in New York City, to studying acting. How she broke into the industry and has since cultivated such a long-lasting career as an actress in Hollywood! She reflects on her beautiful marriage to the late celebrated comedian John Witherspoon and the life they built together… including their two talented sons, their art collection, owning an art gallery and being patrons of the arts. How she continues to make art herself and has evolved into a filmmaker. They discuss her full-length documentary about artist Betye Saar and her passion to make more films that shed light on African American artists. Her exciting travels, philanthropic initiatives and mission of continuing to honor John Witherspoon's legacy through their foundation..! Guest Bio: Angela Robinson Witherspoonstarted her acting journey when she was cast in her first speaking role opposite Eddie Murphy in "48 Hours," by producer Joel Silver. Walter Hill was the director and he subsequently cast Angela in another movie, "Crossroads", opposite Ralph Macchio. In 1983, she traveled to Cuernavaca, Mexico where she spent five weeks filming "Jungle Warriors" for German director, Ernst R. Von Theumer. She did all her own stunts and had the pleasure of working with Dennis Hopper and firing an AK-47.In 1985, she traveled to the Cannes Film Festival and had dinner with director Howard Avedis, who later cast her in "Kidnapped," a Warner Bros. film starring David Naughton, where she would meet her future husband, John Witherspoon. Angela continued to work in film and television in "Ugly Betty", "Joan of Arcadia", "Soul Plane", "The Wayans Bros.", "L.A. Law", "Criminal Minds," "My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "Black Jesus," and a starring role in "The Moment After."She later married legendary comedic actor John Witherspoon on June 27, 1988 and they had two children together. Her husband passed away on October 29, 2019, aged 77.In 2013, she directed her first short film, "Last Call". Soon after, she produced and directed a short documentary on artist Betye Saar. She then wrote and directed the short silent film "Sunset & Neverland." She also produced and directed "Wish Me Luck." Angela's first documentary was well received in 2017. In 2021, she looks forward to releasing a full-length documentary about artist Betye Saar, which she is producing and directing. She is currently working with young talent such as Juhahn Jones, Maia Modeste and director Abdul Malik Abbott. Grandpa Bill's Grunts & Groans More with Michael King friend and business constituent https://youtu.be/JPoFgNHJL_A How to Communicate With Your Oversoul March 06, 2020 2 min read How often have you wanted to consult with someone who is intimately knowledgeable of your unique situation, who has your best interest at heart, remains non-judgmental and compassionate, and can be trusted to give you exactly what is most important for you to know at any given moment? Wisdom from friends and family can be tainted with their own preferences, opinions, and desires for us, however well intended, yet miss the mark with respect to what is truly needed, given the uniqueness of one's individual life path and purpose. What if you had at your disposal, day or night, through the worst and best of times in your life, a friend that knew you better than you even know yourself, who can see the long range purposes of your life, understand your entire soul history, and can offer you wisdom pertinent to this very moment in time? Would you take time to listen to that counsel? If you had to work a bit at first to hear that voice clearly, would that slow you down from practicing sufficiently to develop a skill already latent within you? Like any new endeavor, from learning to walk to learning how to raise kids, practice is required to hone the skill. We don't get it all at first. Nuances are developed and refined with time and practice. The same holds true regarding direct communications with your own oversoul. Messages can, and will, come in a variety of ways, much of which depends on your level of receptivity to supernatural communications. Yet, with practice and trust in the subtle to obvious impressions that enter your heart and mind, the skill of listening and communicating with the “other side” will develop naturally. Who is your oversoul, you might ask? This is the part of you that you left behind in the Soul Plane as you entered this chapter of your soul's journey through eternity, and who remains as your first, and most important guide, protector, and counselor during this life. ----- --- ----- Simplistic Steps to Receiving Personal GuidanceFrom Your Fully Awakened SelfGain a deeper insight into your Life Path.Get personalized advice regarding daily concerns.by Michael KingThis eBook is a digital download available in our Products Section.Click on this link to order your copy:How to Communicate with Your OversoulSimplistic Steps to Receiving Personal GuidanceFrom Your Fully Awakened Self Unearth the wonders of ormalite clay with Michael King, the mastermind behind its discovery. Quarter Life Crisis Returns for the first part of a two-part bonus finale for not only this album/series but for season 6. This episode was mainly inspired by Rome Flynn's interview on a podcast called "Mando & Friends". This week's episode features Amir Harris, who is a filmmaker, writer, editor, and podcaster who currently lives in Baltimore. Millennials always seem to catch the most hell for doing things that are deemed as "foolish" because they break traditions. There are several discussions including being the main character, a discussion about Ashanti, not being ready for greatness, going back to school at an older age, and being an advocate for black men and black boys, even celebrating milestones that don't center around marriage and children. The episode even ends with a discussion about notorious black films like "Soul Plane", & "Pootie Tang,". The most important mental shift you can make as you get altitude on your life and career is to stop thinking in terms of categories and boxes, especially as they apply to you. The spaces between categories and boxes are much more interesting than anything inside the boxes! - Liz RyanAmRock's social media Instagram: @therealamrockhl
Ready for the Soul Plane? This week Jah and Tone review the controversially hilarious movie "Soul Plane." Released in 2004 this American comedy film directed by Jessy Terrero (in his feature film directorial debut). The film stars Tom Arnold, Kevin Hart, Method Man and Snoop Dogg. Supporting actors include Mo'Nique, Loni Love, K.D. Aubert, D.L. Hughley, Godfrey and Sofia Vergara. The film revolves around multiple characters in different scenarios on board an airplane. Jah called in his partner @deanwil5591 for the review - it's excellent!

Yes, Hope made us watch Soul Plane. She said she had no idea how bad it was, but we think that was a trap. However, this 2004 movie does have the universally liked Snoop Dogg, the late, great John Witherspoon, Academy Award winner Monique, a 32-year-old-but looked-23-years-old Sofia Vergara giving it her all, and a few other decent moments here and there. If you choose to watch this, just a warning - you'll never be able to eat a baked potato again.
My guest for the mid-season finale is Atlanta rapper Tony Shhnow. You might know Pete Beeman from being the drummer in Guzzard —a mainstay of the early/mid ‘90s Minneapolis Amphetamine Reptile scene— or you might know him from his time playing for Burning Brides. But you're probably going to want to know him from his latest band: the thoroughly excellent Killer Hill — a band that just so happens to be one of the finest metal bands around right now. But Pete's not the kind of guy to promote himself, so the conversation quickly turns to other topics. Topics like torturing politicians, barf-o-ramas with Scott, gaslighting, playing drums for Local H, touring with Mastodon, “Soul Man” vs. “Soul Plane”, doing everything his brothers tell him to do, Ray Liotta, and posing as a beaver trapper. Yeah. That's right.
This time Shawn and Brad watch Soul Plane. The movie "starring" Kevin Hart, brought out opinions regarding who this movie is actually about. This week we talk the Adam McKay and Will Ferrell collab Talladega Nights. How does McKay at the same time take shots at and embrace conservative white America? Is white humor primarily verbal and is that why it doesn't translate overseas? How about the physical comedy of Mr. Bean and Bollywood then? How absurd can a movie even be?!?! All this and more including the Black movie pick of the week: Soul Plane.

Dominican native and New York raised, Ulysses John Terrero has the honor of being the firstLatin Dominican Male to earn a “Casting” credit in Hollywood. Coming from a generation of noopportunities for Urban Actors and Film Makers, Ulysses decided to take matters into his ownhands and became a gateway for African American & Latinos to get a shot in filmmaking, eitherin front or behind the camera. After much success with his first casting assignment, “I Like it Like That”, he went on to work onalmost every other Ethnic film around, from “Kids”, “New Jersey Drive”, “Sunset Park”, “AboveThe Rim”, “Prison Song”, “Raising Victor Vargas” and the urban classic “Soul Plane”. This wasthe beginning of a new revolution. In 1996, he challenged the standards of the Screen ActorsGuild by increasing the Latin/African American presence in the union. The Guild viewed him asan opposing force because he brought more non-union Actors into the union than any other NYcasting director combined, and YES they were Latin/Urban Actors. Because of him there was anincrease in the Latin/African American presence in the Union by more than 60%. From thatmoment on, if there was any film/commercial shooting that needed some diversity, UlyssesTerrero was the go-to-guy for the casting.. Several years into his casting career, Ulysses decided to take on a new challenge in the filmindustry. He began dabbling with the directing/creative aspect of production. He has shotseveral videos with major artists such as Wisin Y Yandel, Maluma, Aventura, Snoop Dog, 50Cent, Chris Brown, Don Omar, Ozuna, Lil Wayne and many more. Ulysses also had anopportunity to shoot a film for the New York City Board of Education about preventing HIV, thisfilm was used as part of their health curriculum for several schools across the borough ofQueens.Twenty years in the entertainment industry, Ulysses continued raising the bar and transitioninginto a producer as he Co- Produced his first film called “Kiss of Chaos”, which aired onShowtime. “Kiss of Chaos” gave him even more experience and he joined forces with hisbrother Jessy Terrero and became an important part of the team with producing, directing andcasting for their biggest projects to date. He has become an important part of the team becauseof his creativity and ability to think outside the box. Ulysses is definitely he guy Jessy wantsaround if they run into problems on set.Ulysses' passion for creating opportunities turned his focus to helping aspiring artist from theinner city. While interacting with these artist, he realized a lot of them were not able to affordexpensive acting classes so he created a free Acting class called, Acting Rehab with UlyssesTerrero. He's been teaching this class for 10 years with much success and he has been able toteach this class around the country, including Puerto Rico.Ulysses is a passionate artist that insist on making a way where there seems to be none. He isalways willing to sacrifice to make sure we keep diversity in Hollywood and that we all have anequal opportunity to have our stories heard.
