Am letzten Augustwochenende feiern die Frankfurter Museen wieder ihr großes Museumsuferfest am Main. Die Kultur der Stadt reicht von solch spektakulären Großveranstaltungen bis hin zu kleinen Off-Spaces der freien Szene. Doch einige Betreiber und Kulturtätige beklagen die Schwierigkeit, neben der etablierten Kultur in Frankfurt noch Orte und Förderung für kleine unabhängige Vorhaben zu finden und zu erhalten. Diese Kultursendung stellt Schlaglichter der verschiedenen Kulturorte und -angebote in Frankfurt vor. Vom Museumsuferfest über den saasfee* Pavillon bis zur Initiative „Clubs are Culture“ von Clubs wie dem Tanzhaus West. Moderation: Tanja Küchle

Electronic Germany ist zurück – Neue Staffel nach 3 Jahren Pause! DJ Eastenders und Christian Arndt hatten die Ehre und das Vergnügen, zwei sehr unterschiedliche, aber gleichermaßen großartige DJs zu treffen. Am Nachmittag des 1. April – nur Stunden vor ihren Sets bei der Time Warp in Mannheim, standen Rødhåd (Berlin) und DJ Karotte den beiden Hosts Rede und Antwort, und zwar an einem sehr angemessenen Ort, nämlich dem MOMEM, das dieser Tage seinen einjährigen Geburtstag feiert. Wir veröffentlichen die beiden Interviews separat, der Berliner Mike Bierbach aka Rødhåd ist zuerst an der Reihe. Der 1984 in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen geborene Mike Bierbach machte seine ersten Gehversuche als DJ um die Jahrtausendwende mit zwei Versandhaus-Plattenspielern und einem billigen Mixer aus dem "Elevator"-Katalog. "Schranz" heißt das musikalische Gebot der Stunde, Ben Sims und Speedy J sind Vorbilder, die harten, schnellen Beats von Chris Liebing und DJ Rush inspirieren den Teenager bald zu eigenen Tracks, erst am Computer, später dann auf amtlichen Hardware-Synths. Mit seiner "Dystopian"-Clubnacht im Arena Berlin erspielt er sich ab 2009 eine wachsende Fangemeinde, 2012 erscheinen seine ersten EPs auf dem eigenen Label, das ebenfalls Dystopian heißt. "1984" nimmt Bezug nicht nur auf sein Geburtsjahr, sondern mit Tracktiteln wie "Newspeak" und "Thoughtcrime" auch sehr direkt auf George Orwells gleichnamigen Roman. Zu dieser Zeit spielt er bereits im Berghain, das er weniger wegen der legendären "Funktion One"-Anlage, sondern seiner einzigartigen Akustik besonders schätzt. Auf der Time Warp in Mannheim spielt er erstmals 2015. 2017 gründet er sein zweites Label WSNWG, auf dem er Kollaborationen mit befreundeten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern veröffentlicht. In Frankfurt hat er auch schon gespielt, u.a. im Tanzhaus West, und am 1. April 2023 hatte er seine entspannt freundliche Attitude, gute Laune und exklusive neue Edits für die Time Warp im Gepäck. Long time no see. We had a break but now we're back and this time with one of the probably longest podcast episodes I've uploaded so far even though I've played a 3 hour set at Tanzhaus West 2 months ago. This time I have a very versatile assembled set with some of my favorite songs since the start of this year. Of course, I had a couple of gigs during that time, but due to private circumstances, I had to put the podcast a bit on the side. Seyed Key fing 2014 das Auflegen mit lockerem Tech House auf kleineren Open Airs in Hessen an. Bereits im selben Jahr spielte er vor größerem Publikum im legendären Berliner Club Sisyphos; und die ersten regelmäßigen Gigs im Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt am Main folgten. Auf seinem Geburtstagsrave im Juni 2014 lernte er „Drauf & Dran“ kennen. Durch diese Freundschaft fand er seinen Platz im Berliner Label Deine Lieblingsraver (DLR). Zeitgleich entwickelte sich sein Sound Richtung Minimal. Bis Mitte 2016 organisierte Seyed Key anschließend die Veranstaltungsreihe 'Stereokarussell' in verschiedenen Clubs im Raum Frankfurt mit Acts wie Robosonic, Hanne & Lore und Talstraße 3-5. Mit dieser Erfahrung erarbeitete er sich unter anderem Residentplätze bei der bekannten Frankfurter Veranstaltungsreihe Move und in der Technodisco Wetzlar. Mittlerweile kann er auf Gigs überall in Deutschland zurückblicken. 2018 wurde Seyed Key von der Familie New Stylez aufgenommen. Nach 6 Jahren als Musiker ist er schließlich bei seinem aktuellen Technosound angekommen, welcher sich durch harten Industrial, melodische Breaks, Breakbeat und Einflüsse aus Rave, Gabba, Hardcore und Trance auszeichnet. https://soundcloud.com/seyed-key

He went on Hiatus and returned to DJin in 2014 plays mostly hard, dark sound - often paired with carrying, sometimes epic melodies that send the guests on a journey. Today you'll catch him playing at venues like Tresor, Griessmuehle, Kitkat Club, Suicide Circus and others in Berlin, Tanzhaus West and Nachtleben in Frankfurt as well as Villa Nachttanz and halle02 in Heidelberg. Always true to the underground as a DJ, and as a raver, he founded the event series "Schwarz" in Mannheim's "Disco Zwei", where Headless Horseman and Helena Hauff have been guests so far. My Favourite Time and Place: The Morning at Dora Brilliant Floor at Tanzhaus West. From 7am on. After having several artists with several style over the night, I added a bit of groove to the floor - and the people really liked it! Aufgewachsen im Taunus zog es Axel Plua 2008 im Alter von 20 Jahren nach Frankfurt, von wo aus seine Schallplattensammlung an elektronischer Musik zu wachsen begann. Diese zählt mittlerweile weit über 500 Schallplatten von Deep House über Minimal und Techhouse bis hin zu Elektro und Techno. Aber auch Musik von Pink Floyd, the Doors, Spliff oder Santana steht in seinen Regalen und sogar Klassische Musik wird hin und wieder mal zuhause aufgelegt. Als kurz darauf auch die lange ersehnten "1210er" sein waren, ging es nach nicht all zu langer Zeit mit den ersten öffentlichen Auftritten los. "Die Anja" aka "La Bananja" kam auf ihn zu und wollte ihn für Ihre Partyreihe "Friends" in der "Dora Brilliant" (Tanzhaus West, Frankfurt am Main). "Mich gibt es aber nicht alleine, nur zu zweit", war seine Antwort. "Kein Problem", sagte La Bananja Somit feierte er daraufhin ,gemeinsam mit seinem Freund und DJ Kollegen aus den "digitalen Anfängen", Sascha Wilde, sein Clubdebüt am 27.6.2009 unter dem Namen "Antidepressiva". Im Januar 2010 folgte ein weiterer "Antidepressiva" Auftritt auf der selben Veranstaltungsreihe. 2011 ging es dann für die Beiden alleine hinter den Decks weiter. Als "Señor Cartmanez" spielte Axel Plua seinen ersten Solo-Gig auf der im Taunus ansässigen Techno Open Air "Grillen am Turm", gefolgt von mehreren DJ-Sets auf technoiden Veranstaltungen von Noise-Fire-Events. Anfang 2013 gewann er beim Vinyl-DJ Contest "Betty Ford" in Frankfurt einen Platz für das Warmup auf "Betty's Tanz in den Mai" Nach einer kurzen schöpferischen Pause geht es nun mit neuem Namen, aber immer noch dem gleichen bunten und abwechslungsreichen Sound weiter. Dieser wurde maßgeblich geprägt durch die Musik des deutschen DJ Pierre, Karotte, Sven Väth und deren Partys in und um Frankfurt, aber auch seiner Liebe zur handgemachten Musik. Hello and welcome to episode #049 of Lehmann Podcast - Wirrwarr! Andrea Casiraghi and Gabriele Frigerio, p.k.a. Wirrwarr, artistically born in Milan by the most techno and essential clubs. Both immediately prefer gloomy and german-style sounds and, during their performance, realize they can offer a 2-mind-view of techno concept to their crowd. So that after only 1 year from the birth of their project, they are chosen as resident djs at Magazzini Generali, one of the biggest techno club in Italy. Thus began an escalation of gigs on which Wirrwarr are found to perform next to international guests such as Gary Beck, Marcel Fengler, Alan Fitzpatrick, Terence Fixmer and many more... 2013 has been a special year for the duo as they played their very first foreign gig at the infamous Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt and as they released their first ep “Knopf Und Hebel” which, among others, got a massive support from CLR head and techno pioneer Chris Liebing.
