Welcome to THE Sports Law Podcast! We keep you informed on everything at the intersection of sports and the law. Dan (@SportsLawLust), and Zach (@ZacharySBryson) dissect some of the major developments in the Sports Law world over the past week. First, the duo discuss the NFL's recently announced investigation of the Cincinnati Bengals and their apparent violation of the NFL's Injury report, and the possibility disgruntled bettors have at successfully suing the Bengals for their bets placed "before" Joe Burrow was hurt. Next, the apparent "sign stealing" involving Connor Stalions and Michigan's Football program has had surprising new developments, signaling more troubling news for the Michigan Football program. Dan and Zach then cover some of the updates in the Raptors and Knicks trade secret case, and whether or not the case is likely to stay in federal court, or if the NBA Constitution requires that the dispute be arbitrated by Adam Silver. --- Have a topic you want to write about? Another thankfully relatively brief intro [0:00 - 13:04], then Jon and Fintan are joined by Las Vegas resident and super-lawyer Jennifer Gaynor. They discuss all things Vegas, including the success of turning the city into a truly all-encompassing experiential venue, the sports teams, the F1 race, the new beach ball event venue (MSG? You know the one. A big ball thing), cannabis, the 25th straight month of $1bn+ revenues, and Wynn's look to the UAE [13:05 - 1:17:25]. We go far and wide, as you might expect.
