Kyndra Reed, a second-year student at NC State's Veterinary School, discusses the struggles she has had to deal with in regard to balancing the workload from school as well as a job at Care First Animal Hospital. Kyndra has grown up with a love for animals and transferred that love into her career. She has been able to partake in hands-on experience and in doing so has learned more about her future career and been given opportunities to grow. In addition, Kyndra discusses some of the struggles she has experienced as being a young student in STEM. Often people may not take her as seriously because she is on the younger side of those at Vet School, but yet she perseveres and does not let it get in the way of her professional goals.
