In this episode of the Wisdom Keeper podcast, I'm delighted to be joined by Walter Cruttenden, researcher, mystic, author, and entrepreneur. Walter takes us on his heroic journey to scientifically verify accounts from ancient Indian and Greek mystical sources about the Great Year, the extensive 24,000-year cycle of the cosmos in which human consciousness and civilizations ebb and flow. We discuss a binary star system, what compels him to go beyond mainstream narratives, how these lost cycles of time affect us here on Earth, and what will be revealed as our collective consciousness awakens from prolonged amnesia. If you ever wanted to learn where we are now, and where we are going using this star map, listen to this conversation, for the future lies in understanding our past. BIO Walter Cruttenden is an author and researcher working at the intersection of ancient wisdom, modern science, and human consciousness. His Binary Research Institute, based on the work of Sri Yukteswar, challenges the conventional paradigm of what caused the fall of many ancient civilizations, and why we have seen a rise in consciousness since the Renaissance. Cruttenden is the author of the book “Lost Star of Myth and Time,” and documentary, “The Great Year”, narrated by James Earl Jones, which looks at the evidence for a stellar companion and its likely influence on Earth's ancient past and possible future. Cruttenden shares his research and insights with audiences worldwide, inspiring others to question the prevailing narratives of history and to explore the deeper mysteries of the universe. His talks blend scientific inquiry with spiritual wisdom, offering a holistic perspective on the nature of reality and our interconnectedness with the cosmos. In addition to his writing, Cruttenden also hosts the popular podcast “The Cosmic Influence,” where he interviews leading experts in the fields of astronomy, mythology, and consciousness. Through his work, Walter Cruttenden invites us to reconsider our place in the cosmos and embrace a broader understanding of reality Show Links: Binary Research Institute https://binaryresearchinstitute.square.site Conference on Precession and Ancient Knowledge https://cpakonline.com The Great Year film: https://thegreatyear.com/about-the-film/ The Missing Peace, mini-series about the Borobudur Mandala: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL74S0dFvsammqUABLIOmyN2jEhQB_vZA3 Topics Walter and I discuss: - His early mystical experiences and attraction towards Paramahamsa Yoganada - The Great Year and its four Ages, Satya, Treta, Dwapara, Kali - Cycles of time, the precession of the equinoxes - The mainstream understanding of axial “wobble” and what drives him to seek an alternative understanding of the cosmos - What is a binary star system, what companion star might be in relationship with our Sun, and the implications? - Where are we now, and where are we going according to the Great Year. - Is the future hopeful and how can we participate more fully in the dance of the cosmos. As Director of the Binary Research Institute, he writes on the cause and consequences of solar system motion. He founded the Conference on Precession and Ancient Knowledge series to bring together liked minded philosophers and scientists, and explore the possibility that the mythical cycle of the ages, a.k.a. Plato's Great Year, may have a basis in fact, “driven by the solar system's motion through space”.This is the topic of his first book, Lost Star of Myth and Time, his documentary, The Great Year, narrated by James Earl Jones, and many of his seventy two Cosmic Influence podcasts.Lost Star Productions, is in development on a live action feature film based on Walter's work, and in pre-development on an animated film based on his second book, The Great Year Adventures with Tommy the Time-Traveling-Turtle. The Kurukshetra War (Sanskrit: कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध ), also called the Mahabharata War, is a war described in the Mahabharata (Sanskrit: महाभारत ). The conflict arose from a dynastic succession struggle between two groups of cousins, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, for the throne of Hastinapura. The war laid the foundation for the Bhagavad Gita. The historicity of the war remains the subject of scholarly discussion. The Battle of the Ten Kings, mentioned in the Rigveda, may have formed the core of the Kurukshetra war's story. The war was greatly expanded and modified in the Mahabharata's account, which makes it dubious.[4] Attempts have been made to assign a historical date to the Kurukshetra war, with research suggesting c. 1000 BCE. However, popular tradition claims that the war marks the transition to the Kali Yuga, dating it to c. 3102 BCE.The war took place in Kurukshetra.[6] Despite only spanning eighteen days, the war takes more than a quarter of the Mahabharata. The narrative describes individual battles, deaths of various heroes on both sides, war diplomacy, meetings and discussions among characters, military formations, and weapons used. The chapters dealing with the war are considered among the oldest in the Mahabharata.Hello. My name is Bibhu Dev Misra. I am a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata, and have been working as an Information Technology consultant for more than 15 years. I spent a number of years working in the UK and the US, for various multinational organizations, including the World Bank and the United Nations, before returning back to India.I am now settled in Kolkata with my family, and working on a start-up venture. My primary passion, however, is exploring and writing about the mysteries of the past. Over the past decade and a half, I have read the works of a number of writers - Graham Hancock, Michael Cremo, Adrian Snodgrass, Joseph Campbell, Walter Cruttenden, Subhash Kak, David Frawley, to name just a few - and have been inspired by their researches to seek answers to a large body of mysterious knowledge left behind by our ancestors in the form of sacred texts, inexplicable artifacts, awe-inspiring architecture, cryptic symbols, and fantastic myths and legends. I traveled to many ancient sites around the world in order to gain a first hand experience of these remarkable places. For the past few years I have been writing articles on various topics of interest to me and publishing them on my blog. Some of these articles have been published in different magazines and websites such as the New Dawn, Science to Sage, Nexus, Viewzone, Graham Hancock's website, Esamskriti, Waking Times, and others.I would like to thank the readers of my articles, and I hope that you will continue to support me and show interest in my work. I greatly appreciate the feedback and comments left on my blog by the readers, and I try my best to respond to everyone. I am currently researching on large number of inter-related topics, and for the foreseeable future, I shall continue writing articles, and if possible books, to share my thoughts, findings and observations. In addition to reading, travel, and writing my other interests are music, sports, and photography. I have added a new section in my blog where I share my travel photographs along with my thoughts and observations, and I hope this will appeal to the readers.https://www.bibhudevmisra.com/

Originally Aired on May 4, 2013 Walter Cruttenden's book, The Lost Star of Myth and Time is a groundbreaking piece of work dealing with the cycles of time and the possibility that precession is driven by a binary companion of our own sun. Walter is also the founder of the Binary Research Institute, and host of the CPAK conference. He has a documentary out called The Great Year, and even a children's book on this topic called, The Great Year Adventures with Tommy the Time Travelling Turtle. In this interview, we discuss; Cycles of Time. The Rise and Fall of Civilizations. How Ancient Cultures viewed Time.Precession and it's possible causes.Binary Star Systems.Whether or not we could have a binary companion. The possibility of being connected to Sirius. The unusual behavior of Sirius. What the ancients said about Sirius.Ancient technology.Golden Ages.Yuga Cycles. The Great Year.Out of place artifacts. And plenty more. Walter's work is unique in many ways. The book is really a must read, and although we get speculative at times, Walter is very grounded and scientific in his work. Download
Prepare yourself to enter a bewildering labyrinth, wherein lies an unexplored and uncharted realm. This is what Hertha von Dechend and Giorgio de Santillana did when they wrote Hamlet's Mill, where they argue that the tormented, self-questioning Prince of Denmark comes down to us from a long tradition of astronomical myths and that he is himself the Lord of the Golden Age, the Once and Future King. According to these scholars, the story of Hamlet, the melancholic, withdrawn, brooding intellectual, is found all across the world in the Icelandic Edda, the Finish Kalevala, the Iranian Shanama, and the Indian Mahabarata. Further, they say that these epics encode advanced astronomical knowledge of a process called precession of the equinoxes, wherein the constellations gradually shift position in a 26,000 year cycle called the Great or Platonic Year. In these myths, the shifting of ages come to be associated with ages of higher and lower civilizations, in what the Hindus call the Yuga cycle. In Lost Star of Myth and Time, Walter Cruttenden follows in the footsteps of Hamlet's Mill, in search of answers for what causes these ages, in hopes we may return to the Golden Age of the Satya Yuga.
