According to the Boob Tube Boys it's time for more According to Jim! Wow. That sounds far more upbeat than anyone actually should be about AtJ, but I guess that just goes to show how excited the guys are for the finale of their 100th episode! This time around Spencer has some historical fun for us as he takes us through ‘This Day in BTB History.' Brian then wraps up our AtJ episode with a special ghost-ish twist, then he has Van and Spencer use all of the knowledge learned over the first 100 episodes to pitch a show idea to him using only a title. Finally the guys wrap it all up by nominating then voting for entrants into the inaugural Boob Tube Boys Hall of Fame!We really appreciate everyone who joined us for these first “100” episodes and hope you'll join us for at least 100 more! Oh and go check out the Walker, Texas Ranger skit which we've decided to share with its own ‘episode' available to download now!
For the 100th episode of the Boob Tube Boys Van, Brian, and Spencer spared no expense and pulled out all the stops. The guys decided only an elite, top-tier, masterpiece of television was deserved for such a monumental occasion, so they guys turned to a show that has only been dreamed about thus far: According to JimThe guys take turns hosting part of the AtJ (that's shorthand for According to Jim... all the Jim-heads know this) episode "Kentucky Fried Beltzmann," which also happens to be the 100th AtJ episode! The features Jim doing manly man things like being a man and saying mean things to his much better looking and nicer wife. It sucks! But that's not all. The guys have each decided to host their own bonus segment for the big day and this time around you'll hear from Van about a lost segment that never made it into the original BTB episode. They also cover listener questions submitted by you guys. And this is all coming up over two jam-packed episodes this week so stay tuned for Part 2 where they'll wrap up According to Jim, pitch a show to a network executive, elect three members to the BTB Hall of Fame, and even perform an episode of Walker, Texas RangerThanks everyone for listening all this time and we hope you'll stick around for 100 more!

One might wonder how Jim Belushi was originally chosen to be the lead on his own sitcom. But knowing their lineage may help put those pieces together. In 1979 Laraine Newman & John Belushi shared a stage as two of the founding cast members on the comedy staple "Saturday Night Live". 22 years later Laraine's sister Tracy develops a sitcom based around John's brother, Jim. From that, "According To Jim" was born. The show centered around Jim, a macho everyman living with his wife and 3 kids. The show was an instant success and found itself soon becoming the number two program on ABC. The show remained a popular show on the network for the entirety of its 8 season run, right up until its cancelation in 2009. Will "According To Jim" also be an instant success with the S1E1 boys? Find out at they review the shows pilot episode. www.S1E1POD.com STARRING: Jim Belushi, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, & Larry Joe Campbell

This episode I got to talk with fellow Podcaster, and a guy I really admire a lot, Jim Duke. We had a heartfelt discussion about faith, & the battle against dark forces. Jim doesn't hold back, & his frankness is appreciated by myself, & his other listeners as well. Another great thing about Jim that sits him apart from other Fringe Christian researchers is that he experimented with the dark arts himself before becoming a believer. So, he understands the thinking, & emotion behind the occult. Join us if you dare as we are privy to “The Gospel According To Jim Duke.” Now, let's take that deep dive beyond the mainstream once again my friends.
