Professional wrestler Steph De Lander joins Steph for a two-Steph summit of broken bodies and public rage. SDL walks through the full saga of her neck: hearing the crunch-crunch-crunch on a northern lights suplex at the WWE training center, years of injections straight into the disc, the rupture on a jumping pull-up the day before a five-day Australian tour, crying through the flight, and the two surgeries that left her with a piece of her own hip bone and brand-new microplastic tech fused into her spine, which healed so fast her surgeon called his colleagues to look at the scans. From there they get into faking 100 logged driving hours to get a license, why announcing "a women's match" just cues up the creeps, Steph's midnight Facebook fight with a fan who refuses to watch her clips, the Austin TSA agent who stuck a hand in her face, waiting five and a half hours to confront the middle-seat texter who called her insane, and Steph inhaling a solid portion of her dead dog Susan's ashes while transferring the urn. Plus: $12 Erewhon oats, the Scotch tape facelift, bullying fans into buying merch, breast reduction recovery horror, and a plan to get Steph Tolev into a WWE ring. What trends are undeniable? Will this become an "interview show" or will it stay mostly a solo show? Tim explains why he's making his titles more SEO-friendly, why he thinks Kyle Fletcher might be one of the best in the world, why WWE's weekly style of wrestling is lesser than paint-by-numbers, and why the criticism "it's just moves with no story" has been overused and polluted. Bad Bunny has been in the news this week for a wave of legal, cultural, and tour-related developments that keep him at the center of the Latin music conversation. The biggest story is a pair of lawsuits in Puerto Rico over the use of women's voices in his songs, alongside fresh speculation that he may close his world tour with shows in San Juan later this month.[1][2][11] According to El País, singer Tainaly Serrano Rivera is seeking $16 million, saying her voice was used without permission in Solo de mí and EoO.[1][2] El País also reports that Carliz de la Cruz, Bad Bunny's former partner, is pursuing $40 million over the phrase “Bad Bunny, baby,” which she says appears in Pa' Ti and Dos mil 16 without authorization.[1][9] The legal fight has turned into a broader debate about consent, compensation, and who benefits when voices become part of reggaeton's signature sound.[2][3] At the same time, local Puerto Rican outlets are focused on what may be coming next on the live side. El Nuevo Día reported on August 10 that construction activity and stage-style mounting at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium fueled rumors that Bad Bunny could use the venue for a final run of DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour dates.[11] TeleOnce and other local coverage say Rimas Entertainment has reserved August 21 to 23 at the stadium, while San Juan mayor Miguel Romero has suggested an announcement could be imminent, though nothing has been officially confirmed by the artist's team.[10][11][18] Social media chatter has also surged around Bad Bunny's public image. Metro Puerto Rico reported that a Bad Bunny wax figure debuted at the Grévin Museum in Paris, adding another pop-culture marker to his global profile.[5] The same report noted renewed online attention after a White House TikTok used his song LA MuDANZA in a deportation-related video, then later lost the audio, a move that drew heavy reaction online.[5] There is also a steady stream of recognition for his influence beyond music. EFE reported that a collective exhibition in San Juan will open on August 20 with 32 artists exploring Bad Bunny's artistic and social impact.[17] That follows weeks of coverage around the scale of his tour success and his continuing visibility in sports and entertainment media, including WWE-related praise and interview mentions from artists like Brray.[6][12] For listeners, the current picture is clear: Bad Bunny is not just dominating music headlines, he is also shaping legal arguments, social media debate, and Puerto Rico's cultural agenda all at once. They begin by discussing the crowd reactions to the Usos and Solo this week and how it's part of an ongoing issue with WWE storytelling that feel consistent with how AI might write storylines by default. Episode 203 of Wrestling Tonight centers on a question WWE may eventually have to answer with Dominik Mysterio: what happens when someone develops into a legitimate main-event talent faster than the company seems prepared to treat him like one? Dominik has now held the AAA Mega Championship since September 12, 2025, a reign that has reached 333 days as of August 11, 2026, and his progression has become increasingly difficult to dismiss as simply the product of heat, presentation or the Mysterio name. We discuss why Dominik has the ingredients of a future WWE main eventer, but also why WWE's recent history of starting and stopping momentum makes it fair to question whether the company will fully capitalize on what it has created. That conversation opens into a larger criticism of WWE's ability to develop new stars and, more importantly, keep them hot once the audience begins responding. Roman Reigns has argued that WWE had two years after he stepped away from the championship picture to give other wrestlers opportunities to get over, but that idea deserves more scrutiny than simply placing the responsibility on the talent. Wrestlers cannot grab a proverbial brass ring that creative repeatedly moves out of reach, and getting over is not exclusively an individual accomplishment when television time, meaningful programs, victories, opponents and sustained creative investment are controlled by the promotion. Roman Reigns and CM Punk can produce a memorable nine or ten-minute segment because they have enormous presence and established equity with the audience, but WWE also has to create the conditions that allow somebody from the next generation to eventually develop that same equity. Professional wrestling history itself complicates the argument that stars simply force their way to the top. Steve Austin did not become Stone Cold because WWE immediately handed him the company and waited for him to succeed. During the period when his momentum was developing in late 1996 and early 1997, Steve Austin was consistently working with Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, Vader, Sycho Sid, Mankind and other established names. He won the 1997 Royal Rumble, challenged Sycho Sid for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship on house shows, worked repeatedly with Shawn Michaels and remained intertwined with Bret Hart even when he was losing matches. The company did not need Steve Austin to win everything for him to become important; it needed to keep putting him in situations where becoming important was possible. That historical context is why Dominik Mysterio is such an interesting test case. His connection to wrestling history is almost literal, because Zilla Fatu has recalled growing up backstage at WWE events alongside Dominik while their fathers were wrestling, describing the two of them running around backstage, getting into the ring and practicing the 619 as children. Zilla Fatu even remembered Dominik as the wrestler's child he connected with most during that period. What was once two kids playing wrestling backstage has now become part of a much larger generational story, with Dominik holding AAA's top championship while WWE controls 51 percent of the promotion following its acquisition of AAA in 2025. That ownership makes Dominik Mysterio's AAA run more significant than a disconnected excursion. WWE announced its agreement to acquire AAA during WrestleMania 41 weekend, the transaction closed on August 1, 2025, and the relationship has since expanded through Worlds Collide, AAA programming on Fox properties in Mexico and Latin America beginning in 2026, and a Mattel AAA action figure line scheduled for fall 2027. Dominik defeating El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship at Worlds Collide on September 12, 2025 therefore places him directly inside WWE's larger investment in the Mexican promotion, and his lengthy reign provides an opportunity to determine whether WWE views him merely as a valuable character or as someone capable of eventually carrying a major promotion at the highest level. We also compare that approach with the way AEW has positioned Kyle Fletcher as a future cornerstone, because developing a main-event wrestler requires more than identifying somebody as talented. The audience needs repeated evidence that the promotion believes the wrestler belongs at that level, and the booking has to reinforce that idea long enough for perception to become reality. That does not mean every prospect should win constantly or immediately become world champion, but it does mean losses, programs and television appearances should contribute to an identifiable trajectory rather than repeatedly resetting momentum. That is ultimately why WWE has a Dominik Mysterio problem, although it is a potentially very good problem to have. Dominik has lineage, character, experience, sustained championship credibility in AAA and years of television development behind him, and the question is increasingly less about whether he can become a main-event wrestler than whether WWE will provide the sustained creative environment necessary for him to become one. If the company believes the next generation needs to step forward, Dominik Mysterio represents an opportunity to prove that WWE is willing to meet emerging talent halfway rather than waiting for someone to somehow become undeniable despite the booking around them. Who is being built for the future, and who has lost momentum? We discuss whether Oba Femi and Bron Breakker are truly WWE's future stars, or if Oba is rising while Breakker is starting to cool off. We also look at why the WWE women's division continues to revolve around the same few names, which NXT Superstars are close to breaking out, who might be fizzling out, and who could be positioned for bigger WrestleMania plans compared to those stuck in lukewarm spots.
