She had always loved learning about the human body, especially how to keep the body healthy. However, as a medical student, she felt as if something was missing. With the desire to expand her knowledge in how to help people heal, she decided to reach out to Dr. Joel Fuhrman MD to intern with him. At the time, he was helping people heal via the principles of Natural Hygiene, and people went to stay with him so that they could reverse their physical ailments via water fasting and lifestyle changes. What she had learned working with Dr. Fuhrman completely changed Patty's understanding of “health”. She saw first-hand that our health was not something we have no control over and learned that there are universal principles that govern our physical health and can take us either to of Well-ville or Hell-ville. After leaving medical school, and deciding not to practice allopathic medicine she decided to become an educator. She completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry, and began teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology, eventually becoming a Tenured Professor. She also decided to pursue Naturopathy and earned an ND (Doctor of Naturopathy) degree, where she became more proficient in additional healing modalities, including: Natural Hygiene, Naturopathy, Iridology, Nutrition, Bach Flower Essences, Detoxification, and Homeopathy. While studying to become a Naturopathic Doctor, Patty was using what she had learned to help keep my family – including the cats and dogs I share my life with – happy and healthy. In 2016 she I completed ISOD (International School of Detoxification) I and II to become a Detoxification Specialist, and then began working with Dr. Robert Morse ND in Port Charlotte, FL. In addition to working as a detoxification specialist, she also helps to educate future detoxification specialists that are studying through ISOD. Stress is a part of our everyday existence, but it doesn't have to take over our lives!Bach flower remedies are a safe and gentle approach to emotional healing. Developed in the 1930's by Dr. Edward Bach, an English homeopath, these solutions are made of brandy and water that contain extreme dilutions of flower essences. Dr. Bach claimed that the dew found on flower petals retain the healing properties of that particular plant. When ingested, the vibration is raised allowing adaptation, peace and serenity in one's life. Bach Flower remedies are safe, simple and effective for the entire family including our furry friends! When taken consistently they balance the emotional body to create harmony between the mind, body and soul. In this episode I share several of the remedies, what emotional states they benefit, and how they have helped me find peace and balance in my life.To learn more about each of the Bach Flower remedies and to purchase your own, visit https://theexistentialempath.com/emotional-health.html**********I am an intuitive empath specialized in Quantum Healing Hypnosis, EFT Tapping and the Emotion Code. My guest for this episode is Heather Drummond. I met Heather through my website, believe it or not. She reached out through the contact page on my website, and I actually answered. I'm a little suspicious when people reach out through the contact page, primarily because more times than not, it's a spam message. But in this case, I got a feeling she was a real person. We started an email exchange, and she had asked me to be on her podcast, which you can find her podcast on Apple Podcast just like mine or any other podcast platform. It's called See'rs, Be-ers, Knowers and Doers. Her podcast is about intuition. I have to tell you, I love the topic of intuition these days. But much like Heather, who used to also work in the corporate world, I have been suspicious of intuition through my life. We both worked in fields where intuition wasn't valued, and where logic and rationale were valued. I believe we all have intuition. So does Heather, which is why she started this incredible podcast about intuition. After our conversation together on her podcast, I thought it would be great to have her on my podcast to talk more about intuition as it relates to the workplace. She does some very interesting things, things I don't understand, which is often the case with my podcast guests. That is why I love having them on, because I learn so much from each of my guests. Here's a little bit about Heather:Heather enjoys keeping things simple. She uses her intuition and knowledge to work with her clients. She loves empowering people with knowledge and skills to help them support themselves. She has an innovative and unique way of seeing the world and how everything is connected. When she established her business in 2005 after working in the corporate world, she didn't want to compete with anyone in her industry. Heather wanted to be able to work with all aspects of a person's health team. She is a true believer in the power of transformation. She learned from personal experience that self care is a non-negotiable for everyone. Growing up Heather always had an affinity for animals. Everything she does with her human clients, she enjoys doing for her animal clients. She has put together a unique tool box to support and optimize her clients physical, emotional and energetic well-being. Heather has found great joy including animals in her practice. She also loves working to support owners build better connections with their animals. Heather's intuition over the years has lead her to work with dogs, cats and horses. She loves being able to collaborate with her clients because everyone's intuition and knowledge is important to the process. Heather shifted from the corporate world into the entrepreneurial world at 36 years old based on intuition. She has become an advocate for intuition over her career. She created and ran the INTUIT Kids Camp for several years empowering kids to stay connected, embrace their intuition and energy awareness. Supporting people and animals with tools to reduce their stress and optimize their health is what inspires Heather. She feels blessed being able to do this for a living. She has training and certifications in Holistic Nutrition, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Orthomolecular Medicine, Various Energy Medicine techniques, Bach Flower Essences and "The School of Life"

About the book: As a college freshman business major suffering from a variety of anxiety-related maladies, Brian Leaf stumbled into an elective: yoga. It was 1989. All his classmates were female. And men did not yet generally “cry, hug, or do yoga.” But yoga soothed and calmed Leaf as nothing else had. As his hilarious and wise tale shows, Leaf embarked on a quest for health and happiness — visiting yoga studios around the country and consulting Ayurvedic physicians, swamis, and even (accidentally) a prostitute. Twenty-one years later, he teaches yoga and meditation and is the beloved founder of a holistic tutoring center that helps students whose ailments he once shared. About the author: Brian Leaf, M.A., is the author of eleven books, including Misadventures of a Garden State Yogi, Name That Movie!, Defining Twilight, and McGraw-Hill’sTop 50 Skills for a Top Score. He is the only man alive to have written both a yoga memoir and multiple test-prep guides. He is not sure if this is a noble or dubious distinction. Brian is Director of the New Leaf Learning Center in Massachusetts, where he has helped thousands of students from throughout the United States manage ADD and overcome test and math phobias. Brian graduated from Georgetown University in 1993 with a B.A. in Business, English, and Theology. In 1999, he completed a Masters through Lesley College specializing in yoga and ayurveda for Attention Deficit Disorder. Brian is certified as a Yoga Instructor, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Massage Therapist, Energyworker, and Holistic Educator, and he is an avid meditator. He has also dabbled with Bach Flower Essences, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reiki, Shiatsu, and Tai Chi. Can you top that? So what’s the connection between yoga and test-prep? Let’s just say that one of Brian’s first yoga teaching gigs was at the ETS corporation (Educational Testing Service) in Princeton, NJ. They’re the folks who make the SAT. So now Brian gets paid hundreds of dollars per hour to share what he learned while the test-makers were half asleep in relaxation pose.
About the book: In this hilarious, heartfelt book, Brian Leaf tackles parenting with a unique blend of research and humor. He explores Attachment Parenting, as well as Playful, Unconditional, Simplicity, and good old Dr. Spock parenting. He tries cloth diapers, no diapers, cosleeping, and no sleeping. Join him on his rollicking journey in this one-of-a-kind parenting guide.
