In this episode of The Better Sex Podcast, I chat with Sexologist and Educator Dr. Evelin Molina Dacker about the power of open conversations around sexual health at every stage of life. She gets real about her own journey—breaking free from societal expectations and redefining what pleasure looks like, especially through menopause. During this conversation, Dr. Eveline shares her simple but powerful STARS framework to help guide open and shame-free discussions around intimacy. We discuss how this tool can help anyone—whether single or partnered—navigate important conversations about sex with ease and confidence. Along the way, we dive into the emotional and physical changes that come with aging, the surprising joys of this new chapter, and how shifting cultural attitudes are making space for deeper, more honest conversations about desire. We chat about how embracing these changes can lead to greater intimacy and confidence rather than fear or uncertainty. This episode is a reminder that talking about sex shouldn't be awkward—it should be empowering. Ankur A Gupta, DDS, after completing a one-year GPR in Cleveland, started a practice from scratch in 2005. Armed with what he considered adequate dental knowledge, hand skills, and a personable demeanor, he watched as his practice floundered, finances became un-predictable, and his lower back and spirit toward his profession became worrisome. Rather than continue the trend, he made a guinea pig out of his office, family, and self, attempting any and all personal and professional “experiments” in self-improvement. More than a decade later, he enjoys an excellent practice, a solution oriented dental team; and most importantly, a meaningful and positive identity. He happily shares the failures and successes with dental and community groups throughout the country, always ending his presentations with practical, implementable, step-by-step ways to be better. Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2004. In 2005, after completing a one-year General Practice Residency in Cleveland, Ohio, he and his partner Dr. Nisha Gupta started North Ridgeville Family Dentistry. In addition to founding North Ridgeville Family Dentistry, Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, ADA Success Speaker Corp and an active board member and a speaker for Catapult Education's Speaker Bureau. Dr. Gupta is an AGD/PACE certified provider.

Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of The Chai on Life Podcast. I'm Alex Segal and today, we are speaking with Dr. Hilla Aboody, an amazing teacher, mother, wife and mentor currently living in Eretz Yisrael who I invited to come on to speak about this heavy time on the Jewish calendar.Hilla has such a beautiful way of explaining things — it's so deep and profound yet easy to comprehend at the same time.A little background on her:She is a wife and mother of five, living in Eretz Yisrael after making Aliyah 7 years ago from Brooklyn, NY. She is a teacher and Em Bayit (house mother) at Midreshet Eshel, a Sephardic seminary for post High school students from around the world. Her educational background includes studying at Michlalah and receiving her bachelor's degree from Bar-Ilan University and a Master's and PhD in Jewish History from New York University. She has published her study on Eliyahu the Prophet in Talmudic literature and midrashim in her book, “Through the Prism of Wisdom”. As an educator and kallah teacher, Hilla dedicates her time in guiding students to creating a relationship with Hashem and tips and tools to thrive in their marriages and in life.In our conversation, we speak about:-What the Jewish perspective is on sadness and pain-How we can connect to Hashem during this time and in this unique way, especially if it feels daunting for you right now-Why this particular time period brings about more heaviness and actually the reason why we take more precautions-The rich energy that lies in the months of Tammuz and Av — what the letters associated with each month mean, why the sense of each month is important and what we can individually and collectively take from all of that-Why crying is actually a sign of bravery-Practical things you can do now to get through this time with more faith, in a more connected way to yourself, Hashem and those around you-How to deal with difficult emotions with your kids…and SO MUCH MOREThis podcast with Hilla is basically an hour long shiur. I got chills like 17 times as I was listening to her and it's definitely one of the most important ones I've done so far in terms of our spirituality. If there is someone you want to see on The Chai on Life Podcast, email me at alex@chaionlifemag.com or send me a DM @chaionlifemag. This week we had a lot of fun chatting with, and learning from, Dr Jarrod McKenna. Jarrod is a reproductive biologist turned zookeeper turned science educator and has had quite a mixture of jobs. As a PhD student at Monash University, he investigated early pregnancy and assisted reproduction in the world's only known menstruating rodent: The Egyptian Spiny Mouse. He then went on to work as a zookeeper at Zoos Victoria and as the Communications Officer at the National Youth Science Forum. These days he works as an Outreach Program Coordinator in the Faculty of Science at the University of Melbourne, working to engage early high school students in STEM. But science communication has always been at the heart of his work – whether he knew it or not – which led him down an incredibly rewarding track celebrating science and encouraging others to see how amazing and fun science can be. There are ways that you can travel without even having years of savings in your banks. That's something I learned from Jenaya. When she said that she was moving to China in 12 days, I asked her , “Why teach English abroad?” She was already qualified teach in America and employed in the teaching profession. She said the only word that I needed to answer my other question, “Is it worth it to teach abroad?” Travel. She was the person that introduced me to the world of “you can pack up your bags and travel, you can figure it out as you go,” which is why this week's podcast was all about Jenaya and how she did it all! Throughout the podcast, we went over how she got to China, how she got her footing, and how she went from a fish out of the water to a business owner that's making some serious moves! She did it all by teaching and traveling, and in this episode, we're going to be talking about what all of that entails! Are you asking yourself, "Should I teach English abroad?" Well to know more insider's knowledge about what it's like to teach abroad on your own and build your life as a nomad, but still feel a sense of home wherever you live, tune in to episode 2 of the https://arewehomeyetpodcast.com/ (Are we home yet Podcast) with Jenaya! If you don't agree, just ask any parent, teacher, or anyone else who works with them. Like adults, children can change the atmosphere wherever they go. Their attitudes, personalities, and actions influence the world around them in a positive or negative way.   The importance of Character Value Education and its impact on behavior is paramount when it comes to children. When we combine Character Education with Reading, Writing, and Speaking, children can become powerful communicators in word, thought, and deed. By helping children to tell and write their stories they are able to see themselves and valuable community members.  Through our programs, we want to help them find their voice and then sing their life's song in the chorus of community harmony. We let children know that they can accomplish anything they desire as long as they use their words and their power responsibly.  PAIC Educational Resource Group “To help young men and women become Powerful, Awesome, Intelligent Communicators in word, thought, and deed through reading, writing, and speaking.”   www.paiceducationgroup.org
