Bart Conner is the most accomplished male gymnast America has ever produced. He is the only American gymnast to win gold medals at every level of national and international competition.Bart was a member of the gold medal-winning men's gymnastics team at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games and won an individual gold on the parallel bars. He was also part of the 1976 and 1980 USA Olympic gymnastics teams.Conner is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and owns and operates the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Oklahoma along with his wife, Romanian gold medalist Nadia Comaneci.Bart and Nadia are longtime supporters of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Special Olympics.

Carole is a former television news reporter turned prosecutor and now a SAG-AFTRA professional actress who recently relocated to Los Angeles from Northern California. As a television news reporter, Carole covered crime, politics, breaking new stories and entertainment. Over the years, Carole was fortunate to interview many inspiring individuals including former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, gymnast Bart Conner, country singer Leann Rimes and R&B legend Patti LaBelle. Carole also covered the Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards show as a news reporter for KTNV-TV, ABC in Las Vegas. Of course, Carole covered a lot snowstorms as a rookie reporter at WOWT-NBC in the midwest as well. As an actress, Carole played the lead role of "Pecola" in the highly successful production of Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye" at Celebration Arts Theatre. The Bluest Eye was named one of the best stage productions of the year. Since that time, Carole played roles in several films and commercials, including a featured role in a national commercial. In addition to journalism, her legal career and acting, Carole has been active in a number of civic organizations over the years, including the Nebraska AIDS Project, Omaha Girls Club, The Clark County Stay In School Program and the San Francisco Black Coalition on HIV & AIDS. While attending law school Carole served as a student teacher and a mock trial coach. Carole is also deeply committed to transforming the lives of children in the foster care system and her faith. There, Daggett scored a perfect 10 on the high bar, assisting his team in winning a gold medal. In addition to the team gold medal, he earned an individual bronze medal on the pommel horse. In 2005, he was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame. Daggett gives his thoughts on the University of Illinois at Chicago gymnastics team and what it will take to save their program.

Olympic gold medalist Bart Conner returned from the London Olympics early last month. The 2012 games marked his 10th trip to the Olympics as an athlete, broadcaster, or businessman. He earned a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he also helped the men’s gymnastics team win back-to-back national championships in the late 1970s, and earned All-America honors fourteen times over four years. He’s best known as a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. men’s gymnastics team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where he also won an individual gold on the parallel bars. He married fellow gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comăneci in 1996, and the two Norman residents are involved in numerous business ventures and charities, including the Special Olympics, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Ruben Nieves is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, and evaluation of PCA’s trainers. He also oversees the evaluation of PCA’s impact on YSOs, coaches, parents and athletes. Ruben earned his Masters Degree in Education from Stanford University in 1982. He coached collegiate volleyball for 18 years including stints as the Head Men’s Coach at Stanford and the Head Women’s Coach at Fresno State. Ruben was twice named NCAA Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year, in 1992 and 1997. He guided Stanford to the Cardinal’s only men’s volleyball NCAA championship in 1997. Ruben also has extensive experience and success in international volleyball. He spent the summer of 2001 as Head Coach of the USA Men's Volleyball World University Games Team which captured the Gold Medal in Beijing, China, thus becoming the first and only American squad in history to accomplish this feat. Ruben was also an advisory staff member for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Volleyball Team. In 1995, he was Head Coach of the USA Boys Youth National Team that competed in the World Championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico.In addition, Ruben has taught physical education for seven years at all levels K-12.
