ŚB 5.18.1-2Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Bhadraśravā, the son of Dharmarāja, rules the tract of land known as Bhadrāśva-varṣa. Just as Lord Śiva worships Saṅkarṣaṇa in Ilāvṛta-varṣa, Bhadraśravā, accompanied by his intimate servants and all the residents of the land, worships the plenary expansion of Vāsudeva known as Hayaśīrṣa. Lord Hayaśīrṣa is very dear to the devotees, and He is the director of all religious principles. Fixed in the topmost trance, Bhadraśravā and his associates offer their respectful obeisances to the Lord and chant the following prayers with careful pronunciation. The ruler Bhadraśravā and his intimate associates utter the following prayer: We offer our respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the reservoir of all religious principles, who cleanses the heart of the conditioned soul in this material world. Again and again we offer our respectful obeisances unto Him.Please feel free to join our Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Telegram group chat (for both prabhujīs and mātājīs): https://t.me/iskmnews

When making offerings, we want to bring the best to Kṛṣṇa and his representative. And the best of what we have to offer is what the Lord and his devotees, specifically His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda , likes most, which is to hear the results of book distribution around the world. As we know from hearing from Prabhupāda's servants, he was eager to open the sankīrtan newsletter first to hear the results. He also said that it gave him solace and made him feel like a young man when he heard the results of the sankīrtan. I congratulate everybody today, all of us as a global team working hard to bring the rains of benediction on the world. When we sing, “Saṁsara-dāvānala-līḍha-loka-trāṇāya kāruṇya-ghanāghanatvam,” the absolute truth rains down mercy like a cloud through the pure devotee and, in this case, through the pen of Śrīla Prabhupāda, who has taken his speech that he spoke into a dictaphone and then it's been abstracted in writing. What to speak of pictures of Kṛṣṇa and the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa in the spiritual world. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, the unparalleled literature that Lord Caitanya called the 'Amala Purāṇa' and that Prabhupāda said would be the means by which people all over the world would be purified and come to the spiritual platform. We've all engaged in this activity together and now we here celebrate by offering the results to Śrīla Prabhupāda. So, we'll start today by .... In Ep 1365 of Cut The Clutter, Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta brings in ThePrint's legal experts Bhadra Sinha and Apoorva Mandhani to explain the nuances of the judgment and what it means going forward.

Action packed with good emotion. Rewatched it for the podcast and it is a classic. It's so good. Emotion, action, and suspense are all so good. Main thing is later Boyapati movies have a lot of cringe, since this is the first movie, there is none. It's amazing direction and story telling. Songs are also amazing. Loved the movie. Interesting Facts: I belong to Peda Kakani which is in the outskirts of Guntur. I did my graduation in JKC College in Guntur and post-graduation in Nagarjuna University. We have a photo studio and it was our business. I was interested in photography. I have also worked as a part-time reporter for Eenadu newspaper. I was planning to start a small scale industry in Guntur's Auto Nagar. That is when my cousin Posani Krishna Murali suggested me to join films. I came to Hyderabad with him and he made me join in the direction department of Muthyala Subbaiah in 1997. I worked with him for films like Oka Chinna Maata, Gokulamlo Seetha, Pelli Chesukundam, Pavitra Prema, Annayya and Manasunna Maaraju. Then I have prepared the story of Bhadra. After the release of Gangotri, I approached Allu Arvind to narrate Bhadra story by keeping Bunny as hero. I know Allu Arvind well because I have worked for Annayya. He liked the story, but told me that Bunny was doing Arya film. He made Bunny to listen to the story. Bunny liked it and he directly took me to Dil Raju. He made me narrate Bhadra story to Dil Raju and made Dil Raju give advance to me right away. We had initially considered Prabhas as hero. But Prabhas's dates were locked for Chakram film for 8 months. Then he narrated it to Raviteja and he accepted. Actually Raviteja had just signed Khatarnak in Amma Rajashekar direction but chose to work on Bhadra instead. First choice for role of Raja was actor Raja himself, but they selected Deepak instead. Leaders come and go, but institutions stay forever. This is the central takeaway of a new book by Subhashish Bhadra, Caged Tiger: How Too Much Government Is Holding Indians Back.Subhashish is an economist whose career has straddled both the policy and corporate worlds. He has worked at a leading global management consulting firm, a venture capital firm, and a tech start-up, working closely with CEOs, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, politicians and academics throughout his career. His new book is a call to action that encourages Indians to move beyond their fixation with leaders and focus instead on building strong state institutions. While discussions of state capacity are typically the stuff of academic conference rooms and think tank seminars, Bhadra believes they should be at the core of everyday discussions Indians have on the future of their democracy.Subhashish joins Milan on the show this week to discuss his motivations for writing the book, the institutional flaws in Indian democracy, the need for a new “social contract” on welfare, and the appropriate balance between states and markets in India. Plus, Subhashish explains what ordinary citizens can do to change the status quo. My dad and I were the only people in the theater that day, got some samosas and then 5 more people came later on. Came with a lot of hype and didn't listen to the songs and only after watching the movie loved them and got to know it;s Harris Jayaraj. Didn't understand Ileana hype back then but then rewatched the movie when I was older and its so obvious lmoa. Remember it being action packed but disappointing in the end. Flashback was disturbing and actually the downfall of the movie. Rewatched it in 2020 and same feeling. First half thop, 2nd half pace completely dips and becomes a drag. Interesting Facts: March 25th, 2006 movie was launched - NTR, Venkatesh, and VV Vinayak were the chief guests. Original cinematographer was Shyam K Naidu but he was replaced by C Ram Prasad later on who Dil Raju revealed that both Bommarillu and Munna were shot at the same time. Meaning both films were under production at the same time. Bommarillu started filming in January 2006 and then Munna in April 2006. Originally they thought of Dussera 2006 release for Munna but Bommarillu released first and became a huge blockbuster and classic movie for the banner Prabhas okayed the story in a single sitting and already expectations were sky high because Dil Raju delivered 3 back to back blockbusters in Arya, Bhadra, and Bommarilu Kadhulu Kadhulu song was talk of industry because they filmed it for 9 nights Vamshi Paidipally was apparently really aggressive during the making of Munna and Dil Raju felt the story was weak from pre climax to climax and had a meeting with Koratala Siva and BVS Ravi who were the co writers for the movie. Vamshi Paidpallu was adamant that it will work and Dil Raju said ok lets trust him and go for it We wanted to come out of love and family stories and do a proper commercial film. Sirish and Lakshman (my executive producers) did not like the story. But the success of Bhadra film gave me confidence to go ahead. We worked out the negatives of Bhadra while shooting and came up with a decent film. Likewise I though that I could workout during the shooting stage of Munna. The film started with a negative talk and it got decent money because of summer release. I am not satisfied with Munna as a maker. Dil Raju put a special preview show for his friends and team and there was a lot of mixed talk for 2nd half. Watched the movie FDFS and understood it;s a not a hit. Went to Prabhas and said this and he was shocked. But he was right. Despite this, the movie ran for 100 days in 9 centers and ended up as average at the box office which is the right result.
Bhadra explores the positive nature of spiritual death and how important it is to distinguish these opening and liberating experiences from the potentially disorientating and disturbing effect it has on our ego structure. Virtually everything about the path is covered when we consider impermanence: death, rebirth, linear time, eternity, presence, change, transition, attachment, identification, freedom, unity, fear, projections, denial, the divine path of growing old, groundlessness, surrender, grace, etc. Is it life or attachment that we wish to prolong? We are not able to fully profit from the path until we face death. Nothing exists as a permanent entity, but we suffer when we do not live this truth. Bhadra Mitchell, a long-time spiritual practitioner, discusses the learning that occurred for her in the process of living with cancer and having her house burn down in a wildfire. She speaks of her experience including surrender to others who provided her care; groundlessness and letting go of attachments and identification as an artist; compassion for others who live in situations of hunger and paralysis; recognition that what happens in life is ultimately out of our control; appreciation for the love, help, and care of others; and acceptance for how life has gone. It's possible to see the circumstances that brought us to face impermanence as a gift—at least in retrospect—and to realize that we can't always get what we want but we get what we need. We always have to continue to work with identification and attachment. Mind is a binary, “yes-no,” “good-bad” mechanism. Making judgments is useless because we are not in touch with the big picture when we do this. Ego creates division and the assumption of separation from reality or God. When we let go of “yes-no” and “good-bad,” we can step into the present where death does not exist. While this can just be a theoretical perspective, we sometimes tap into the present where there is unity and love. We usually think of impermanence in a catastrophic way, but impermanence is here in each moment.

Today we extend our home range significantly by speaking with Anindita Bhadra, a researcher in Kolkata, India. Although difficult to estimate, the world population of free-ranging dogs is likely more than 200 million individuals and composes the majority of all dogs. We discuss with Anindita the nature of free-ranging dogs, their origin, behavior, and how they are similar to and different from domestic dogs. We also discuss the communication and social network of free-ranging dogs, and explore how they interact with humans. What emerges is an understanding that may challenge your idea of the very nature of dogs.

Kathmandu-bred composer/arranger Abhisek Bhadra left a budding career in what has been looked upon as Central Europe's capital for 'World Music', Rotterdam, to return to Nepal where the call of the heart led him to lead the very Conservatory of Music his musical journey began in. This conversation traces back that journey to its earliest phase as a keyboardist grappling with 10hr plus electricity-cuts, imposter syndrome, visa battles to the European sensibilities and work ethic that challenged him on multiple levels even while resulting in immense growth as an artist, as he gently contemplates the future of Nepalese Jazz Education in the post-pandemic era. We are not professional financial advisors. After hearing that line in so many YouTube videos, it feels good to say it ourselves, and jokes aside we do mean it! Over the past year as many people have been naturally saving more money than usual, several people have gotten into investing, and we fully support it. Investing is a great way to build wealth over time using the power of compound interest or if you are good with CFDs (the high risk, high reward stuff) then you can amass quite a bit in a matter of days. Whatever we discuss in this episode with our good friend Parth as the guest, is from our own experience of investing so far, and we have made multiple mistakes that we hope by sharing will prevent many of you from doing the same. Take care, and please share! See you next week :) ASP: aspodcastlimited@gmail.com https://www.instagram.com/the_official_asp/

Lord Krishna is considered to be the most important avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is the 8th incarnation of Vishnu who lived on Earth during the bronze age (Dwapar Yuga). Krishna is known to be the Supreme most being and the father of this Universe. He is the greatest among all the other Gods according to Vaishnava traditions. The mere utterance of his name brings divine joy and ecstasy to his devotees. He is not only worshipped in India but has a huge devotee base in the West as well. Lord Krishna is also known by several other names like Govinda, Krsna, Gopal, Muralidhar, Kanha, and many others. Lord Krishna was born in the kingdom of Mathura. He was the son of princess Devaki and Vasudeva. Devaki's brother Kansa was the king of Mathura and he was an evil man. Kansa had been warned that his death was written in the hands of Devaki's 8th son. Kansa was a brutal and evil king and hence decided to slain Devaki's children. He killed all the 7 babies born before Krishna. He prisoned Devaki and Vasudeva as well so that they don't escape and all their children are killed in front of them However when Krishna was born his father Vasudeva somehow managed to escape from the prison. He along with baby Krishna then visits Gokul. He then meets his friend Nanda. Nanda agrees to adopt Krishna. Nanda was the leader of cowherds and was married to Yashoda. Yashoda and Nanda became his foster parents and he grew up in the pastoral community. Subhadra and Balrama were his siblings. As a child, Krishna was very notorious. He would steal milk and butter and play pranks on everyone. Right from childhood, he was adored by everyone especially womenfolk. Even at a tender age, he killed many demons. He killed the demoness Putana by sucking onto her breast. He also killed demon serpent Kalia. Krisha was known for miraculous activities right from his childhood. People knew that he was no ordinary human. Once Indra was angry at Krishna and the people of Vrindavan for not worshipping him. He decided to teach them a lesson by flooding the city of Vrindavan. The whole town was devastated by the flood. This is when Krishna came forward and lifted the hills of Gowardhan to provide shelter to the villagers. He held the mountain on his left hand as an umbrella and protected the villagers from the flood. At the age of 11, Krishna visited Mathura and killed his demon uncle Kansa. He then freed his real parents and handed over the kingdom of Mathura to its real king Ugrasen (Krishna's grandfather). During Krishna's adolescence, he was always surrounded by gopis who would sing and dance for him. Krishna was always shown playing his flute. During this time he met his eternal lover Radha. Radha and Krishna together mark the epitome of love. It is said that Radha was so dear to Krishna that he considered her to be his soul. Even today they are always worshipped together. Their relation defines the relation of a soul with the Supreme soul metamorphically. However, the relation did not end in marriage. Although there are many reasons associated with their separation their love story is the most sacred and divine association in Hindu philosophy. After killing hi uncle Kansa, Krishna met his real parents Devaki and Vasudeva. He and Balarama were welcomed in the royal family and they started their schooling as princes of the Yadu dynasty. Krishna was also a cousin brother to the Pandavas of Kuru dynasty as his father Vasudeva was the brother of queen Kunti. During this period Krishna became good friends with his cousin brothers the Pandavas and was especially close to Arjuna. After slaying Kansa, the kingdom of Mathura was in danger as Jarasandha (Kansa's father in law) along with Kalyavan (another powerful demon king) decided to ruin and destroy the entire city of Mathura. After several repeated attacks from them, Lord Krishna constructed the kingdom of Dwarka in the middle of the Arabian sea and decided to shift the inhabitants of Mathura there. He asked his brother Balaram to take care of the people of Dwarka. Meanwhile, he fought the demon kings and killed them. Krishna mainly had 8 wives According to Bhagavata Purana, names of the eight wives in order were Rukmini, Satyabhama, Jambavati, Kalindi, Mitravinda, Nagnajiti, Bhadra and Lakshmana. Apart from this he also married 16000 women whom he freed from the captivity of demon king Narkasura. After killing this demon the women had no other place to stay. Hence Lord Krishna married them to provide shelter. Lord Krishna plays a central character in the epic war of Mahabharata. He was a close friend and a counselor for the Pandavas. He was very close to queen Draupadi and shared a brother-sister relation with her. His sister Subhadra was also married to Arjuna (one of the Pandava brothers). After the end of exile for Pandavas, Krishna was the one to act as a mediator between Kauravas and Pandavas. However, when Kauravas refused to negotiate, it was Lord Krishna who called for war. Although he himself did not participate in war killing but offered himself as a counselor and charioteer to Arjuna. The most famous Hindu scripture Bhagwat Gita is nothing but the conversation that happens between Arjuna and Krishna in the middle of the war. Since Arjuna was fighting his own blood relatives there was a brief moment of reluctance and guilt which made him weak. He wanted to opt-out of the war and did not want to be a part of this massacre This is when Lord Krishna enlightens Arjuna and declares himself as the Supreme most being of the Universe. He mentions the necessity of this war as this would mark the victory of righteousness over evil. Lord Krishna also discloses the hidden secrets of this Universe to Arjuna hence making him aware of his real identity. Bhagwat Gita has been a torchbearer for this world since time immemorial. It has provided spiritual guidance to millions and continues to be the most popular Hindu literature for mankind. After the war and the victory of Pandavas, Lord Krishna went back to Dwarka and lived his life there. Lord Krishna lived on Earth for 165 years (approx) and then ascended back to his planet Goloka when hunter hit him on his ankle mistaking him as a deer. Lord Krishna is one of the most important deities in India and has thousands of temples dedicated to him. His birthday is one most important festivals in India and is celebrated as Janmasthami. The most popular Krishna Mantra "Hare Krishna " is known for its miraculous effects. One can attain liberation or Moksha by constant chanting of this beautiful mantra. Kubera is the Indian god of wealth. He is known to be the richest god and is the possessor of all the money, gold, minerals of the world. In India, we consider Lakshmi to the goddess of wealth however Lakshmi is the goddess of overall fortune and prosperity in one's life. There are different stories on how Kubera achieved the status of God. Some scripts say he was a thief in his previous life and with the grace of Shiva he became the god of wealth while other scripts suggest he was the brother of Ravan. Let us hear of both the stories in detail. Long ago, during the period of Satyug there lived a priestly man by the name of Yajnadata. He lived with his wife and son. His son's name was Gunidhi. Gunidhi was opposite to his father. Right from childhood days, he kept a bad company. He started gambling at a young age. He also started stealing money and other precious stuff from his house for the sake of gambling. Despite knowing about all this, his mother kept silent as she was too scared to let her husband Yajnadata know. She knew that her husband would abandon both of them if he came to know of all this. She would always cover up for her son and hide everything from the father. Gunidhi grew up and got married as well, but as the saying goes old habits die hard, He continued his evil activities. Once he stole a diamond ring from his house. He lost the ring to another gambler. Yajnadata happened to meet that gambler somehow and saw the ring in his finger. When he questioned the gambler, he opened up and said that his son Gunidhi was one of the biggest gamblers in town. Yajnadata was completely taken aback. He came home and asked the mother about all this and as usual, she tried to cover it for him. Yajnadata got furious and abandoned both of them. Gunidhi fled away from the town as he was too scared to meet his father. He roamed like a homeless beggar stealing food from here and there. On the day of Shivaratri, he failed to steal anything and kept roaming. He found a Shiva temple and saw a huge crowd of devotees offering different food items to the Linga. Gunidhi stopped and waited for the devotees to leave so that he could steal all the offerings and satisfy his hunger. He also heard the different Shiva mantras being chanted inside the temple. Night set in and soon the devotees were off to sleep. Slowly Gunidhi entered the temple and stole the sweets and fruits offered to Shiva. However, on his way back outside he happened to fall on one of the devotees who was sleeping inside the temple. This woke everyone up and they saw what was happening. The crowd was furious as stealing from God was an incorrigible offence. They started hitting him and finally beat him to death. As soon as Gunidhi died the tribe of lord Yama got hold of him and took him to Yamlok. There he was about to be sent to hell for all the wrong things he did in his life. However, just before his sentence, the tribe of Shiva came to his rescue. Yamaraj was confused as he knew that Gunidhi was a corrupt man.The Shiva Ganas said that his sins were burnt down into ashes by the grace of Lord Shiva. Gunidhi had unknowingly kept a fast on Shivaratri. This act itself was big enough to remove all the sins from his account. In his next life, he was born into a royal family as Dama, son of the king Arindam of the Kalinga dynasty. Soon after he grew up he took over the kingdom. He was the biggest Shiva devotee known to mankind. He decided to meditate upon Shiva. After a few years of hard penance, Shiva along with Parvati appeared before him. The light around them was so bright that Dama could not even open his eyes. His eyes kept flickering. When Shiva asked what does he want, Dama simply said that he needs a clear vision to see Shiva properly. Shiva blessed him with divine vision. Dama saw both Shiva and Parvati together. He was amazed to see Parvati and was curious to know how did she manage to become so close to Shiva. He kept staring at her which made Parvati uncomfortable and angry. She got annoyed and burst one of his eyes. Shiva pacified her and told her that he had no bad intention for the Goddess. Parvati then blessed him to become the Lord of wealth on this planet. This is how Kubera with a distorted face and one eye became the God of Wealth. in another version, Kubera is known to be Ravan's half brother. He is the son of sage Vishrawa and Ilavida. He is the one who ruled the city of Lanka before Ravan snatched Lanka forcibly from him. He was also the possessor of Pushpak Viman and Ravan snatched that also from him. After this he was forced to leave Lanka. He decided to meditate upon Shiva. With Shiva's grace, he became the lord of wealth and then decided to reside in the city of Alaka near to Shiva's abode Kailasa. Kubera is shown as a plump god with distorted features. He is married to Bhadra and rides a wild boar as his mount.
