As a native of Pineville, North Carolina, she began singing as a small child and gave her life to Christ at the age of twelve. The youngest of eight children, she was most impressed by the love God has shown her. Her parents were very instrumental in this impression and encouraged her to use her God-given talent of singing to His Glory. From this, she recognized her foundation in Christ and her gift to sing. Early in her career, as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, she specialized in implementing procedures for manual and electronic creation, control, coordination, dissemination, and disposal of administrative communications. Tonya holds a Master of Arts in Public Relations from Full Sail University, a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary – Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and an Associate of Arts in Fashion Marketing from American InterContinental University. In addition to excelling in the Philip J. Cohen Scholars Program and graduating from UNLV with honors, she was a gaming innovation finalist in The Center for Gaming Innovation Program at UNLV. She was also awarded the Salutatorian Award from Full Sail University. Currently, Tonya is pursuing her doctorate degree in Communications at Liberty University. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys volunteering at nonprofit organizations, walking to reach her goal of 15,000 steps per day, riding her mountain bike, and roller skating. The Brown Sisters of Chicago hail from the Gospel Music mecca of the world, Chicago Illinois.  These talented women were trained by their father Pastor Ben Brown, at the tender ages of 4, 5 and 6.  The Brown Sisters is a mixture of contemporary praise and worship, smooth R&B and quartet style songs their musical skills give variance and range developed over the years while singing backup vocals for for various artists.  The sisters sang professionally for over 20 years before recording their own project with a chart topping single "Awesome God".   The Brown Sisters have made multiple television network appearances which include Bobby Jones Gospel, Singsation, various shows on Total Living Network and many others shows.  In 1996 they started touring European countries several times a year.  While overseas they were nominated and received multiple awards and recognition.  The sisters have also been featured in several nationally published magazines. Kevin's father, Wilbert, was an accomplished director and his mother, Ruth, an accomplished lead vocalist. Needless to say, Kevin's path would undoubtedly be one filled with music. A noted director, choral and instrumental arranger, gifted vocalist and skilled musician, Kevin S. Lemons exemplifies greatness by every measure of the word. With a strong conviction for biblical principles and righteous living, Kevin's parents reared him in a God - fearing home and encouraged his involvement in church at a very young age. In church and on travels with the Atlanta Masonics young Kevin was affording the opportunity to develop himself as a musician, singer and director. Asked how much he was impacted by his introduction to gospel performances at a young age he responds 'those experiences made me who I am today. Watching my father direct and teach while witnessing my mother's vocal ability are things I cherish.' With the support and blessings of his parents Kevin responded to a great call to begin his own music ministry in 1996. Gathering a few singing friends and acquaintances in a small church is where is all began. Kevin Lemons, with God's direction and purpose in his heart, organized Higher Calling. This ministry, collectively known as Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, set out on a fast track to success by working diligently to create a sound and image unique to themselves. Deardra Shuler talks with James Hall, the singer, director, and composer who has worked with artists like Gladys Knight, Mary J. Blidge, Faith Evans, Michael Bolton, Harry Connick Jr., Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, et al. Hall is best known for killer vibratos and twister harmonies found in the best of today’s gospel music. Its no wonder choirs all across the nation duplicate his music.  A native of Brooklyn, NY, James is the youngest of 7 children.  His mother, Lula Mae Hall was the first to nurture his keen musical talent as a singer and musician. She enrolled him in classical training at five and encouraged his singing voice which projected a striing soprano range. James attended James Madison High School. He was appointed director of the James Madison Gospel Chorus (JMGC) where he honed his natural abilities to conduct and perform.  In 1987 he founded Worship & Praise, (WAP) his own gospel singing ensemble. In 1992, the opportunity to perform a five minute spot on TV’s Bobby Jones Gospel came.  It was just the break they had been looking for, as earlier that year WAP recorded their first project on the Tehilah Records label. Later landing a major record deal with Intersound.  Their debut album on Intersound “God is in Control” soared to the top ten on the billboard charts.  "King of Glory," followed as did several LIVE albums.  His newest CD is KING WAP New Era.
