Trick or Treat (1986) Synopsis: Eddie Weinbauer, a high school outcast and heavy metal fan, discovers that his favorite rock star, Sammi Curr, has died in a mysterious fire. When he plays one of Curr's unreleased albums backward, he unwittingly resurrects the rocker as a supernatural force seeking revenge. Soundtrack: The soundtrack features Fastway, a British rock band that composed most of the music for the film, giving it an authentic 80s heavy metal vibe. Background: This cult classic explores themes of rebellion and the "Satanic Panic" of the 1980s, with cameo appearances by rock icons Ozzy Osbourne (playing a conservative talk show host) and Gene Simmons. 2. Queen of the Damned (2002) Synopsis: Based on Anne Rice's novel, this film follows vampire Lestat, who awakens from slumber to become a rock star, attracting the attention of other vampires and the ancient Queen Akasha, who wishes to rule alongside him. Soundtrack: Korn's Jonathan Davis worked with composer Richard Gibbs to produce tracks, with contributions from bands like Disturbed, Deftones, and Marilyn Manson. Background: The soundtrack was a defining feature, creating a unique, moody soundscape that reflects the gothic and seductive qualities of Rice's vampire world. 3. The Crow (1994) Synopsis: Eric Draven, a musician, returns from the grave to avenge his and his fiancée's murder on the night before Halloween. Guided by a mystical crow, he confronts the killers in a stylized, gritty urban landscape. Soundtrack: The dark and atmospheric soundtrack includes Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Rage Against the Machine, and Stone Temple Pilots. Background: The Crow became iconic, partially due to its haunting soundtrack, and remains influential for its combination of rock music with the film's themes of love, vengeance, and loss. 4. Bride of Chucky (1998) Synopsis: Killer doll Chucky is resurrected by his former lover, Tiffany. After a ritual goes awry, she's trapped in a doll's body as well. Together, the murderous dolls embark on a chaotic journey to find new bodies. Soundtrack: The edgy soundtrack features Rob Zombie, Slayer, Judas Priest, and Type O Negative. Background: Known for its dark humor, Bride of Chucky refreshed the Child's Play series, and its soundtrack added a gritty, punk-rock feel to the horror-comedy. 5. Return of the Living Dead (1985) Synopsis: When a chemical leaks at a medical supply warehouse, it causes the dead to rise and wreak havoc in a nearby town. A group of punk teens finds themselves at the center of the chaos. Soundtrack: The punk-driven soundtrack includes The Cramps, T.S.O.L., and 45 Grave. Background: Blending punk culture with zombie horror, this film is notable for its humor, gore, and punk soundtrack, which complements its rebellious, chaotic spirit. 6. Demon Knight (1995) Synopsis: A mysterious drifter named Brayker seeks refuge in a rundown hotel while being pursued by a demonic entity called The Collector, who wants a relic Brayker holds. Soundtrack: The soundtrack includes Pantera, Megadeth, and Ministry. Background: Part of the "Tales from the Crypt" film series, this movie's soundtrack and horror-action elements captured a blend of supernatural horror with hard-hitting rock. 7. Freddy vs. Jason (2003) Synopsis: Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, two iconic killers from horror franchises, come face-to-face in a battle, with teens caught in the crossfire. Soundtrack: The soundtrack features Ill Nino, Slipknot, Sepultura, and Spineshank. Background: Featuring a high-energy soundtrack, this crossover slasher appealed to metal fans and is known for its adrenaline-filled music. 8. House of 1000 Corpses (2003) Synopsis: Two couples on a road trip through rural America stumble upon a bizarre museum run by a man named Captain Spaulding. Their curiosity leads them into the lair of the Firefly family, where terror and madness unfold. Soundtrack: The soundtrack, curated by director Rob Zombie, includes songs by Zombie himself along with Buck Owens and The Ramones, adding a gritty, Southern rock vibe. Background: Rob Zombie's directorial debut is heavily influenced by grindhouse films and 1970s horror. The music complements its chaotic and disturbing tone, with Zombie's own tracks amplifying the twisted atmosphere. 9. Resident Evil (2002) Synopsis: Alice, an amnesiac security operative, teams up with a group of commandos to investigate a deadly virus outbreak in a high-tech facility known as The Hive. Their mission pits them against reanimated corpses and mutated creatures. Soundtrack: The soundtrack features Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, and Coal Chamber, creating an industrial, high-energy backdrop for the action-horror elements. Background: Known for its intense action sequences and blend of horror with sci-fi, the soundtrack's industrial metal sound contributes to the futuristic, menacing feel of the film. 10. Dracula 2000 (2000) Synopsis: In this modern adaptation, Dracula is accidentally revived in New Orleans, where he targets the daughter of the man who once tried to contain him. The story intertwines classic vampire lore with contemporary themes. Soundtrack: Featuring bands like Pantera, Slayer, System of a Down, and Linkin Park, the soundtrack is heavy with rock and metal tracks. Richard Gibbs is a leading Hollywood movie composer, and music producer. Starting his career as a session musician, he was playing keyboards in the band Oingo Boingo when in 1988 an unexpected opportunity to score a film led to a long career as a film composer. He has worked on some of the very biggest movies and TV shows including Say Anything, Dr Dolittle, The Simpsons and Queen of the Damned. His studio in Malibu ‘Woodshed Recording' is the musical home of U2, Chance the Rapper, Coldplay and Sting. In this in-depth interview, Richard reflects on a long career in music, working on dozens of movies - and explains how the business of making music in Hollywood really gets done; takes us behind-the-scenes of the whole process of film music composition from start to finish; and shares the journey of founding his charity ‘Armory of Harmony' which takes guns - formerly in the hands of criminals - melts them down and turns them into musical instruments for deprived students.

Ep. 2.- Todo comienza con una conversación entre el Director Skinner y su madre Agnes donde discuten porque Skinner no cargó suficiente combustible a su auto (siendo que lo cargó con poco dinero) y resulta de que este hace el ridículo en la carretera tan solo por no saber cómo traer la gasolina para su vehículo mientras que Milhouse logra captar la embarazosa escena en su teléfono móvil.

Ep. 22.- Volviendo a casa después de un viaje al dentista, Homer lleva a su familia a una heladería, donde el compra el millonésimo cono de helado.

Ep. 19 .- Todo comienza cuando Marge Simpson, siguiendo el consejo de una revista para padres, le retira el chupete a Maggie, haciendo que la bebé destruya todo lo del interior de la casa de los Simpson. Marge decide comprarle a la niña un nuevo chupete, pero no logra conseguir la marca adecuada. Afortunadamente, Santa's Little Helper le da a Maggie su juguete, el cual no sólo calma a Maggie, sino también hace que Homer no pueda dormir, por el ruido.

Cuando Marge lee el papel, le dice a Homer que anule el alistamiento de Bart, Homer llega con un acuerdo con los alistadores: cancelan el alistamiento de Bart pero Homer se deja convencer y entra en el ejército. Ep. 9.- Todo comienza cuando la familia Simpson está viendo un especial de Navidad de Krusty, "Navidad de Krusty Sobre Hielo". El programa presenta a unos renos, un bastón de caramelo, y un muñeco de nieve, todos peleando con un monstruo verde llamado Grumple, quien avanza sobre los otros personajes navideños, tratando de robarles su espíritu navideño. Finalmente, los personajes le ganan al monstruo y celebran la Navidad. Marge y los niños deciden levantarse e irse en lugar de seguir viendo TV, pero Homer se queda discutiendo con el monstruo y pidiéndole que devuelva el espíritu navideño.

Skinner cuenta que Julianna había sido alumna de la Escuela Primaria de Springfield, pero que, como era una chica, no era muy buena en matemáticas. Todos quedan sorprendidos y Skinner trata de defenderse a sí mismo, pero solo logra empeorar la situación, y termina siendo echado del lugar. Ep. 21.- Todo comienza cuando Bart cree que ha desperdiciado todo su verano, entonces hace lo que tenía pensado hacer: Ganar un partido de Baseball, presentarse en una obra, ver el éxito del verano y tener un romance. Cuando termina su lista, Lisa dice que deben hacer su actividad de verano la cual era ir al mueso para ver una exposición de mujeres (Para gran desagrado de Bart y Homer) pero para suerte la exposición había sido cancelada y reemplazada por una de la "Historia de las Armas". Viendo una cola demasiado larga, Homer nota que Ned Flanders y sus hijos estaban al principio de la misma, y decide colarse.

Por supuesto esa afortunada ciudad no será la de ellos, pero Homer se niega a pensar eso y se dispone a conseguir la franquicia (la familia piensa que fracasará). Luego de una semana, Homer termina su proyecto: un nuevo equipo fútbol profesional llamado la Fusión Accidental de Springfield (Springfield Meltdowns), y la maqueta de un nuevo estadio. Ep. 18 .- Todo comienza cuando, durante una cena en el Holandés Cocinante, los Simpson se ponen a relatar tres historias cuyo tema es la náutica. Lisa cuenta el viaje del Mayflower, Bart sobre un motín ocurrido en un viaje a Tahití, y Homer sobre el hundimiento del crucero Poseidón.

Pronto descubren que la bebé tiene varicela. Inspirado por la sugerencia de Ned Flanders de llevar a sus hijos con Maggie para que tengan varicela (ya que, si tenían la enfermedad de niños, era menos peligroso), Ep. 6 .- Es el Día del Padre y Homer está muy sorprendido por el regalo de Bart. Accidentalmente, Homer destruye el regalo de Lisa. Lisa queda muy apenada por esto y cree que el hombre siempre se aprovecha de la mujer, por lo que se rebela violentamente en la escuela, golpeando al Director Skinner y rompiendo una ventana. El Director Skinner llama a Homer y Marge para hablarles del problema de su hija y también, Skinner le muestra a Homer un traje de salamandra de seguridad. Homer toma el puesto de guardia de seguridad escolar para enorgullecer a Lisa.

Homer, sin embargo, casi destruye la casa en el intento y, luego de ser regañado por su familia, se va a la taberna de Moe. Ep. 17 .- Todo comienza cuando el director Skinner busca una compañía de comestibles para firmar un contrato: la empresa instalaría máquinas surtidoras de sus productos en la escuela, y ésta obtendría la mitad de los ingresos percibidos por las máquinas. Después de mirar algunas alternativas, Skinner decide contratar a la empresa de Lindsay Naegle. Las máquinas con comida poco saludable son instaladas, y la mayoría de los estudiantes las usan (excepto Lisa, quien protesta por el alto contenido de azúcar de las golosinas expedidas por las máquinas), pero Bart es visto usando las máquinas más frecuentemente.

Lisa se encarga de informarle y el profesor le dice que seguramente es por haber inventado un martillo con un destornillador del otro lado. Frink dice que desearía que su padre estuviera vivo para verlo ganar. Lisa le pregunta al Profesor sobre su padre y Frink le contesta que no tenían una buena relación y que la última vez que vio a su padre fue cuando se embarcó en una expedición de pesca de tiburones. Curiosamente, el cuerpo de su padre se encontraba en una nevera en la casa de Frink. Un tiburón le había devorado el estómago cuando se probaba una loción bronceadora a base de sangre. Con el martillo destornillador, Frink deduce que puede reanimar a su padre sin utilizar otras herramientas. Esa noche, Lisa y el Profesor reviven al padre de Frink, con un radiador reemplazante de su ombligo y varios órganos. El señor Frink, creyendo que es un hombre de hojalata, decide conseguir órganos humanos verdaderos, asesinando a Ned Flanders y a Seymour Skinner, arrancándole el corazón y el estómago a Flanders, y la espina a Skinner. Ep. 5.- Todo comienza cuando, al no tener dinero para comprarle un collar de diamantes a Marge para el día de la madre, Homer le compra un "Carnaval de Cocina", una máquina que hacía algodón de azúcar, caramelo y frituras al instante. Un día, Homer la usa para fabricar una bola gigante de caramelo, cubierta con algodón de azúcar. La bola es demasiado grande para ser comida por la familia, y pronto se ensucia. Finalmente, Marge le insiste a Homer para que se deshaga del enorme caramelo. Éste lo lleva al basurero, en donde se encuentra con un enorme y enojado oso, del cual se esconde. Homer comienza a llorar y a gimotear como un cobarde, por lo que el oso se aburre de asustarlo y se va. Ep. 16.-El episodio comienza cuando la familia Simpson visita el centro comercial de Springfield. Homer quiere comprar ropa para caballeros gordos pero se queda atorado a la escalera eléctrica ya que los cordones de sus zapatos están desatados. En una sección, Bart encuentra un decodificador de precios de productos para seleccionar un novio y una novia para realizar una boda. Entonces, Bart decide gastarle una broma a varios ciudadanos haciendo una boda falsa. Desafortunadamente, el jefe Wiggum encuentra a Bart luego de realizar la broma y Bart intenta sobornarlo, pero Wiggum solo acepta soborno en efectivo.

Luego de una pequeña destrucción, el comité decide destruir el medio ambiente y sacar todas las leyes de anti-polución. A partir del día siguiente, reciclar se convierte en una ofensa. Los refugios de aves son destruidos, y las fábricas comienzan a desechar grandes cantidades de humo, las cuales llegan a las nubes y producen lluvia ácida. Ep. 8.- La familia Simpson acude a la biblioteca porque está realizando modificaciones y por lo tanto están vendiendo libros. Homer compra un libro de récords publicado por la empresa Duff. Después de leerlo un rato, decide batir un récord el mismo, pero al no ocurrírsele ninguno bueno o que ya haya sido hecho o batido, decide convencer al todo el pueblo para efectuar un récord de grupo. Homer opta por hacer la "pirámide humana más grande del mundo", pero cuando estaba a punto de lograrlo, Kearney mueve su mano porque accidentalmente está tocando la de Jimbo, desmoronando toda la pirámide humana, que, después de rodar por todo el pueblo, cae sobre una balanza de camiones batiendo el récord de pueblo más obeso del mundo.

That discoveries in genomics, for example, will lead directly to breakthroughs in medicine. But the breakthroughs on the medical side have been much more rare to date than those coming from the study of biology and genomics.

The ArtistFrozene Lott Hayes The gospel music ministry of multiple Rhythm of Gospel Award-winning artist Frozene Lott Hayes is a living testimony to faith triumphant over tribulation. When she began her ministry in 1982 as an Independent Gospel Artist with the songs “Lord Will You Use Me” and “Already Been to the Water,” Frozene had no idea that one day, in the depths of her own personal tragedy, she herself would be embracing such words and feelings, ultimately rejuvenated by the very music that God has blessed her with the talent to bring forth. Since her first release in 1985 of a Traditional Gospel recording of 6 songs, titled “Reach Out For Jesus,” Frozene has recorded “Build Bridges Instead of Walls,” produced by renowned Chicago music producer Richard Gibbs (2003), and “Thank You Jesus One More Time,” produced by the director of the Orchestra Nashville Gospel Choir, Nathan Young (2007). In 2011, she released her first single, “There is a God.” Her most-recently released single is “Oh Lord, Who Shall Abide.” She is the lead vocalist on two of the Late Reverend C.L.
