Mike is also running for J-town Club President, and gives us his state of the union on the disc golf scene and how he plans for growth and progress. The crew invites a long overdue guest to sit down and give the lay of the land on the new Joliet course. Steve Behrens, right-hand man of former guest of the show Mark Grabavoy, sets the record straight on the course that has had everyone talking for the last several years. They'll learn why it has taken as long as it has, and why you can't rush perfection. Steve fills us in on the details and decisions that were made to make a world class course, and his motivations for all that hard work and time spent. Its the season finale! Probably. Mike Fierke joins the crew to talk about what its been like to run 10 years of the ever popular Movember Doubles tournament and what the it means to him to raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. Things get a little heavier as they also discuss some mental health issues and what disc golf brings to the table to combat such an often undiagnosed, and easily dismissed issue. Sean hangs out with his friends and has a good time, and Alex is just a step in the bossman's ladder, but he's got dreams he'll never take away. Ryan is elated over a warehouse full of hard wood, and Jason is still in love with a band he saw at Oysterfest in 2007.
Why haven't they done this sooner? The crew brings in Veteran Mike Conlee to give us insight on a new revitalization of a local course that has been too close to the chopping block. He explains his method for speaking with the parks department and meeting them where they're at to advocate for our sport. He also talks about the touring life, his sponsorship with Latitude 64, and how everyone hates him for this one genius traffic hack. The FFART season is also over - final scores are revealed and final spins are spun. Sean can't wait for Saturday mornings, while Alex is succumbing to the dark side of technology. Ryan is probably a giant cheater, and Jason reveals the GREATEST VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME.

He sits in on the mic to talk about the the Lake Arvesta Sports Complex and how he fortunate he was to become a part of this amazing destination course.Sean eyes big things for disc golf, and Alex tells the tale of an earlier dip in the lake. Ryan's shed vibe has increased exponentially, and Jason dreams of a car from loooong ago.

The crew records the last episode of the first half of season 5. The first half is relatively normal, but then they take things outside at Callahan Acres to get their hands dirty. Sheila films while the boys construct a teepad, from start to almost finish, and they do it in 90s sitcom fashion. This is one for the books, folks. Future guests take note: there is no going back after this episodes guests, Jorge and David Piña, show up and kick things off right with a full barbeque spread that damn near brought the crew to tears. Once they all had their fill of brisket, chicken, ribs and elotes, they got down to brass tacks and dug into how the Piña brothers (and family) continually make such a lasting impression on the disc golf community. A two-year-old child is recovering after being shot in a car in Dellwood. The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Chambers Road and Knollcrest Court. The crew settles back down at Callahan Acres to try and digest the giant meal that was the trip to Fox Prairie. They discuss the course in more detail now that they have gotten the full picture from the Halley family - not just its history but what may be in its future. They also chronical some of the nonsensical events that occured while on the way down and back. After reminiscing, everyone gets an update on the Fantasy league. There are plenty of spins to be spun and punishments to hand out.Sean steals Ryan's fired up for the Nth time and buys a weedwhacker, while Alex can't wait to be naked under a kimono. Sheila has found the best kept secret in dining establishments, Ryan gets far to worked up about grass, and Jason is fired down about not being able to appreciate things like a teenage girl.
The UD crew takes a short-lived, but unforgettable trek to southern Illinois to check out the new and highly rated Fox Prairie disc golf course. They all expected to play some disc golf and interview Erin and Raegan Halley (course creators), but what they experienced made this the trip they'll remember forever. Midway through their first round at Fox Prairie on day one, they were able to experience the eclipse of the sun in totality (a detail that the 'deucer had made come to fruitation when originally planning the trip - because of course she did), which set the perfect tone for the rest of what was to come.The whole Halley clan immediately made them feel like family, keeping them well fed, well entertained and well rested. They were given ATV tours, scooter tricks demonstrations, history lessons, and full access to their massive barn.The next day, they were able to sit down and record with the Halleys and get into how the course was made and what makes it so special. After recording, Erin and Raegan joined them for another round so they could fully absorb the course in all its detail.Sean immediately wants to move to southern Illinois, while Alex can't stop laughing at Jason's cartoon snoring. Ryan might start shopping at Walmart again, and Jason can't help but compare disc golf to video games.
What was once an empty strip mall in Dellwood reopened in September as a $20 million economic hub serving north St. Louis County. The R&R Marketplace came after more than a decade of work by married pastors Beverly and Ken Jenkins. Beverly and Ken tell the story of its creation, from praying at an empty parking lot, to the Ferguson protests, to seeing the grand opening.

Ryan is living in his own technological nightmare, and Jason makes us lose control.
Season 5? Really? The guys took a short break and now they're back at it baby! They kick it off with special guest, good friend, and fellow tournament director Mike Apostolou to share with us some of the latest and 'greatest' PDGA rule changes. While there are many, they try and tackle the most important and controversial revisions. They discuss their opinions and predict whether or not they will make an impact on typical tournament play. Also revealed is the crews' latest and greatest idea - a fantasy disc golf league the details of which must be heard to be truly appreciated. Sean is super excited about his log, and Alex just wants to poke everyone in the eye. Ryan is looking forward to peepee pants, and Jason blindly stumbles into a commanding lead in the crews' new venture.

Mike is in the early stages of starting a recovery and support disc golf club, and has big plans to grow the club into a non-profit organization that will aid those in the sport and outside it using disc golf as the path to heal and rehabilitate. Also, Sheila has just recently returned from her trip with the girls to Sandy Point. While on their trip to disc golf heaven, Stu (Sandy Point's infamous groundskeeper) gave them a tour of the supposedly haunted Lakeview cabin and gives them several first hand accounts of strange happenings. Sean is finally ready for it all to wind down, and Sheila mistakenly trusts her husband with scratchy lottery tickets. Ryan won't shut the f$&k up about the shed, and Jason may finally be done with Starbucks and manicures.
Dellwood and Brandywine McGinty (Jerry and Kate Starr Hall), and George Sweet-Peppers (Brian Iten), from Dellwood and the Nightshades, joined Rockabilly Greg in the Flamingo Lounge on September 6, 2023. Dellwood and the Nightshades are a unique and eclectic Buffalo, NY based band that combines elements of alternative, indie, and retro pop to create a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. Hailing from disparate corners of the music scene, this band has made a name for themselves with their lively and engaging performances that feature both original music and their own, modified versions of cover songs from the late 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.
They actually did it! The crew drove down to the Destination-Penetration course winner and world famous Idlewild Disc Golf Course in Burlington, Kentucky. They spent two full days taking in the intense and incredible disc golf that the greater Cincinnati area has to offer, as well as consuming some of the area's finest 'chili'. They stopped at 'The Nati', famed midwest disc golf shop, and were able to convince owners Jason Kerl and Adam Jones to sit with them for an impromptu episode that is one of their best ever. Set up just outside their shop amongst the background of Mt Airy's hole 1, they step away from the normal format and get into all things Cincinnati disc golf - what it takes to keep things rolling in the area, relationships with parks and the city, and the trials and tribulations of being a TD, past and present. Sean immediately makes two new best friends, while Alex can't wait to get back to the hotel hot tub. Ryan feels validated as a broke TD, and Jason is sore head-to-toe from diving into the deep end in his first official full round of disc golf.

After an unexpected, but riveting adventure of a lifetime, the guys come back to reality for a more traditional episode. Complete with uDisc stats, landmarks, and local attractions, the guys had to work their way through to see which course come out on top. The UD universe as we know it has been thrown into chaos as Jason and the Deucer turn the normal format on its head. Unbeknownst to the rest of the crew, and in only 4 days time, devised what can only be described as the GREATEST TABLETOP GAME OF ALL TIME. Complete with color coordinated dice, custom printed playing cards in sleeves, as well as a table full of snacks and a full case of Mt Dew Code Red, no effort was spared, and no detail was left behind. The game was a mystery and unfolded before Sean, Ryan and Alex as they set out on their journey playing a round of disc golf at the Canyons. They faced many an obstacle, and encountered many Dellwood characters - some well known, some soon-to-be known, and all unforgettable. Follow along as this tenacious triumvirate navigates their way though what is sure to be the adventure of a lifetime, or at least a good few Thursdays worth.

The guys are back baby! Sluggishly crawling out from their hibernating stasis, they decided to get started on a new season. At their home in the ever improving CAB, things get rolling quickly as they tackle a topic disc golfers annually deliberate - renewing PDGA memberships. What do you get for your money? What happens when you don't renew? Is the PDGA doing enough and what could they do to sweeten the pot? They also give some details on some new, but certainly not widely known, PDGA rules and regulations. There's also much talk about artificial intelligence and how easy it will become to create content like... this.... podcast... wait.... no...Meanwhile, Sean wants to start peddling night lights, and Alex still has scars from a 7pm bedtime. Ryan is fed up with the misinterpretation of groundhogs day, and Jason wants to tell us about (...you're going to need to sit down for this one...) the GREATEST SHOW OF ALL TIME.
The guys sat down to wrap things up with a nice bow, and admittedly late enough that it could be given away for Christmas. It was a whirlwind of a season, but they managed to stick to their ol' tried and true format. As is tradition, they recap the season by doing a quick synopsis of memorable moments from each episode. Sean cries over holiday moments past and present, and Alex cries over having to eat Slawdawg advent chocolate for 24 straight days. Ryan cries while listening to his new home theatre setup, and Jason cries because it happened, not because its over.

They finally did it. The guys managed to drag in one of, if not THE voice of disc golf himself, the Disc Golf Guy - Terry Miller. Early in the day before he joined them as a special guest at the Delly's, Terry joins them to chit chat about the past, present and future of disc golf media. He gets into his early days as a fledgling vlogger and podcaster and brings us up to speed with what he thinks its going to take to keep that stone rolling downhill. Sean tries to hide his Terr-bear man crush. Sheila takes over for an ill-fallen Alex, and performs a flawless 'Alex mailtime' impression. Ryan becomes a plumber, and Jason finally gets the man off his back... probably.
Its been a real scheduling whirlwind, but the guys were finally able to wrangle a long-awaited guest. Tournament and League Director, Owner of Smooth Disc Golf and all-around great guy Steve Rachan joins the podcast and brings along his partner in crime, Megan Sumner, to get into their involvement in local disc golf and what they're doing behind the scenes. They all discuss the history of Smooth Disc Golf, how Steve's early disc golfing years shaped who he has become, and what may be in store for the future. We also get a never-before UD exclusive scoop on some breaking news!Alex, unprompted, fills us in on the details of his first sexy-time encounter, while Sean divulges his plans for his 'Chicken-Mahal.' Ryan throws his kid to the Demon, and Jason tries to get us all possessed.
FINALLY. 56 days later. The guys return to the CAB for another 'casting sesh and catch up with each other and find out what the hell has been happening these last few weeks. Show format is completely thrown out the window in an uncontrolled chaos filled episode. Segments are jumbled around, omitted, turned upside down, cats and dogs, living together... mass hysteria! Also, Lauren Lakeberg happens to stop by and they all partake in a little 'flavor tripping' situation live on the mics. Alex takes a bite of his first lemon, while Sean explains for the four thousandth time what he thought of Simon Lizotte's visit and video. Ryan upgrades to full riding mower status, and Jason puts his foot down when it comes to how to run trivia.
The guys welcome Leo 'Doc' Borowski back to discuss the events surrounding the once-again wildly successful 'Clash at the Canyons' tournament. They get into how the tournament has turned into such a well-oiled machine - from the early planning stages, literally a year prior, to the ongoing work throughout the year, to the massive undertakings that had to be dealt with in the week leading up to the event. Overcoming the unexpected is also discussed as weather, flora, and fauna all played a part in trying to sabotage the weekend. Alex is trying to find a way to make Lockport closer to the city, while Ryan talks about how Lockport is now his new home. Sean admits his initial fear of the most-intimidating Mr. Borowski, and Jason just can't wait for the day to be over so he can hit the road.

The CAB has become the default hang out for the guys as they bring in special guest Adam Ryan of 'Park'd for Parks'. He proves to be a wealth of knowledge about bringing people together to work for a common goal - that goal being course and community improvement. He gets into his approaches to working with parks departments, getting community members (even non-disc golfers) excited about volunteering time, and where the organization is heading in the not-so-distant future. Alex is back to his old AWESOME ways while Sean fights the afternoon-nap crash. He is a life coach, founder of Everyday coffee, the host of the 'Everday with Anthony J' Podcast, and a self-proclaimed rec-for-life disc golfer. In this Episode, we get into some heavy topics centered around the mental aspect of disc golf, as well as looking inward, self-reflection and self-worth, and how to apply that to the game of disc golf and life in general. Also in the episode, Alex has had it with trade-show can koozies, while Sean is starting a new venture with some feathered additions to Callahan Acres. Captain Clay Farmer is a native of St. Louis Missouri and has been a police officer for over 20 years, first with the Northwoods Police Department then the Vinita Park Police Department which is now the North County Police Cooperative. He started as a patrolman, worked his way up the ranks, and in 2014 he was promoted to the rank of Captain. Farmer served as the commander of the Dellwood, Pine Lawn, Upland Park, and Vinita Terrace precincts. He also served as a commander over the department's field operations, community engagement, public relations, resource officers, training, housing, communications, recruitment, and drug units. Under his command, officers were required to participate in a multitude of community partnership programs. Sean won't shut up about the Dellys, Alex has a serious hankerin' for some good old fashioned teen wizardry. He and the rest of the Paul McBeth Foundation crew are in town to celebrate the Expo and to get things moving on getting a permanent course installed within city limits. They discuss the local and international obstacles faced by the PMF and how their plans have been and will continue progressing. They also find out a bit about Paul's experience designing discs with Discraft, his stance (or lack of) on aliens and ghosts, and how he would rather not relax.

On the latest edition of Politically Speaking, St. Louis Public Radio's Jason Rosenbaum and Tim Lloyd welcome state Sen. Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors, to the program for the second time. She represents the 13th District, a north St. Louis County area that encompasses portions of Ferguson and Dellwood. Walsh spent nearly three decades as part of the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local #1, and she's currently the president of the Missouri State Building & Construction Trades Council.
