Male boginje u 2023. godini? Zar protiv malih boginja (odnosno Morbili virusa) ne postoji efikasna vakcina i zar male boginje nisu maltene iskorenjene iz čovečanstva?Nažalost, uprkos jako efikasnoj i efektivnim kombinovanim vakcinana koje postoje decenijama unazad (MMR ili MMRV vakcine), nisu. Pritom, ne samo što nisu iskorenjene, nego su epidemije ponovo počele da se pojavljuju, jer je obuhvat vakcinacije mali, počev od dokazane prevare i podvale Endrjua Vejkfilda u časopisu Lanset iz 1998. godine, do antivakcinacijskih pokreta i stavova koji su procvetali u javnosti tokom pandemije SARS-Cov-2 korona virusa u poslednjih par godina. Još pre godinu dana bilo je jasno da je samo pitanje vremena kada će se u Srbiji pojaviti epidemija malih boginja, bolesti koja dovodi do jako teških komplikacija i velike smrtnosti, pogotovo kod dece, a koja je iskorenjiva vakcinom koja postoji i obavezna je u programu vakcinacije. Međutim... u trenutku snimanja ove epizode, po poslednjim informacijama sa Instituta za javno zdravlje Srbije ("Batut") od 22. 2. 2023. godine, zvanično je registrovano 39 slučajeva zaraze. U ovoj epizodi smo pričali o malim boginjama i morbili virusu, vakcinaciji i zaštiti od ove (i drugih zaraznih bolesti), MMR vakcini i epidemijama malih boginja. Pričali smo i o kovidu i imunologiji generalno, o tome kako funkcioniše ljudski imuni sistem, kako se bori sa virusima i na koji način radi kada je stečen preživljavanjem zarazne bolesti, a kako vakcinacijom, kako generalno, tako i u konkretnim slučajevima koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 i Morbili virusa. Pričali smo naširoko i o procesu imunizacije stanovništva, regulativama, obaveznoj vakcinaciji, o iskorenjivanju bolesti i virusa iz ljudske populacije, u opštem smislu, ali i konkretnije u slučaju bolesti malih boginja, govorili o tome zašto i kada treba primiti prvu, a kada drugu dozu MMR vakcine, koliki treba da bude obuhvat vakcinacije da bi se suzbile epidemije i da bi se male boginje iskorenile, itd.  Gošća je bila doc. dr Emina Milošević, imunološkinja sa Instituta za mikrobiologiju i imunologiju Medicinskog fakulteta u Beogradu. Support the show

According to a recent article in Reuters, life expectancy fell once again in 2021, but of note is the fact that suicide related deaths were the third leading contributor to the decline in life expectancy for men. The CDC states that there is a death by suicide every 11 minutes. These facts are jaw dropping, but there is a solution and a way to improve your brain health.
