Today, I'm thrilled to welcome Jared St. Clair, an herbalist and expert natural supplement formulator with over 30 years of hands-on experience. Jared is known for his Vital Five essential supplements and has crafted highly effective formulas for a range of health concerns. In our conversation, we dive deep into Jared's personal journey with overcoming acid reflux without drugs, the importance of quality supplements, and how to read labels to ensure you're getting the best products. As always, my goal is to bring empowerment and practical health knowledge to our community, so let's get started! Questions Asked: Where are you from, Jared? What got you into being all about health and wellness? Do you have a backstory? How did you learn all the ins and outs of supplements? Can you tell everyone what you did to get over your acid reflux? How can people read supplement labels so they can get a good quality supplement? Where can people find your podcasts and connect with you on social media? Quotes: "My education is largely just doing. I've, I've been hands on, one on one, with clients, for you know, since I was literally a teenager, working with people in real world situations, dealing with real world problems and helping them figure those things out." "I have very much kind of that entrepreneurs brain. So it's very scattered lots of this, you know, squirrels and shiny objects and things like that. But one thing that my brain seems to be really capable of is remembering every study I read about vitamin C or, you know, D aspartic acid from 20 years ago." "If I were to put this product on Amazon and it became a big seller, there will be somebody out there, or at least there's the potential for somebody out there to copy the label of my product, put something else in it and sell it as if it's my product." "When you develop a product, you get to see you get to see it right from the raw material to the finished product. And you really see the entire picture. You understand why the price is the way it is, why the quality is the way it is, why it matters where you source the product from." "We're still very much an independent family business. There are six of my family members that work here. My wife works with me. My oldest son and daughter both both work with me. My wife's two daughters work with us. So we have this really great, you know, family energy." The most common nutritional deficiency in America, and increasingly worldwide, is the malnourished microbiome. If the microbiome is not well nourished, pathogens are allowed to grow. We all harbor some pathogens, but they are not harmful when they only exist in small numbers. When pathogens proliferate, they can cause a wide range of symptoms such as gas, bloating, inflammation, pain, diarrhea, and/or constipation. Collectively, these symptoms are referred to as dysbiosis, which is also known as intestinal permeability.Dr. Ross Pelton is the Scientific Director for Essential Formulas, and a microbiome scientist. Questions I asked: How did you get into this industry? Let's say we keep placing 2nd instead of 1st, how do you help someone? Why did you keep quitting? How did you change that pattern? What are some tips you give for resetting a pattern? How long does it take to change a pattern? How does our brain make decisions on our behalf? How do we get someone from A to Z to achieve their goals? Why should we give ourselves validation? How do you break a pattern of people-pleasing? What is the root cause of overwhelm and procrastination? Why is it not about the task, but about the feeling we're avoiding? If I don't cancel things, where does that come from? How does working with brain patterns differ from other self-development methods? What pattern is overthinking attributed to? What have you personally found the most eye-opening for you? What's a success story from someone you helped? What are two tips that you can leave with audience? How can people connect with you? Topics Discussed: Self-Sabotage. Mindset Your inner critic. Brain science. Pattern setting. Changing patterns.
