Notes:Joakim Kävrestad is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Jönköping University, with a background in networking and cybersecurity. He shifted his focus to the societal and psychological aspects of cybersecurity, emphasizing human behavior.Joakim developed Context-Based Micro-Training (CBMT) to provide cybersecurity training at relevant moments, improving user engagement and retention.CBMT integrates training into real-world scenarios, such as reading emails or creating passwords, to address common cyberattack methods.Traditional cybersecurity training methods are critiqued for their lack of effectiveness in retaining user attention and knowledge.Joakim used a design science approach to refine CBMT, involving over 1800 survey participants and 300 experiment participants in the process.Evaluations show that CBMT supports secure user behavior and is well-received by users. The importance of usability in security practices is emphasized, highlighting that user-friendly training increases adoption and compliance.CBMT provides a guide for practitioners on implementing effective cybersecurity training and supports procurement decisions.Future research should explore the interplay between training and other support mechanisms, as training alone is insufficient to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity.About our guests:Joakim Kävrestadhttps://ju.se/personinfo.html?sign=KAVJOAhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/joakimkavrestad/Papers or resources mentioned in this episode:Kävrestad, J., Hagberg, A., Nohlberg, M., Rambusch, J., Roos, R., & Furnell, S. Aline B. Louchheim (1914-1972) was an art critic on assignment for the New York Times in 1953 when she first met the Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen. She would become his wife and the driving force behind his rise to critical prominence. When Eero Met His Match: Aline Louchheim Saarinen and the Making of an Architect (Princeton UP, 2022) draws on the couple's personal correspondence to reconstruct the early days of their thrilling courtship and traces Louchheim's gradual takeover of Saarinen's public narrative in the 1950s, the decade when his career soared to unprecedented heights. Drawing on her own experiences as an architecture journalist on the receiving end of press pitches and then as a secret publicist for high-end architects, Eva Hagberg paints an unforgettable portrait of Louchheim while revealing the inner workings of a media world that has always relied on secrecy, friendship, and the exchange of favors. She describes how Louchheim codified the practices of architectural publicity that have become widely adopted today, and shows how, without Louchheim as his wife and publicist, Saarinen's work would not have been nearly as well known. Providing a new understanding of postwar architectural history in the United States, When Eero Met His Match is both a poignant love story and a superb biographical study that challenges us to reconsider the relationship between fame and media representation, and the ways the narratives of others can become our own. We get into how Aline built the narrative around Eero Saarinen's greatest buildings, her pivotal role in shaping the way we — media, laypeople, and critics — talk about architecture, and how publicity has been intertwined to architecture ever since. We also talk about how Eva's own career in architecture PR is woven through the book, why her original title was What Would Aline Do?, the moment she realized Aline & Eero's correspondence was Ph.D. thesis-worthy, and the notion of legacy and the ego of architects. Eero Saarinen, who died in 1961, is now one of the most well-known and respected Modernist architects in history, famous for the St. Louis Arch, the TWA Terminal at JFK, Dulles Airport, and many other innovative projects. More that about any other architect, his work signaled an optimistic future, a sweeping beautiful, curvy future that was going to require, as the song would say decades later, shades. But Saarinen wasn't always so well-known, and for about eight years before his death, there was one incredibly smart and talented woman who built and managed Saarinen's reputation into the mega-star he is today. We are joined by author Eva Hagberg, with the new book When Eero Met His Match: Aline Louchheim Saarinen and the Making of an Architect. And later, somewhat miraculously, we found Ruth Clements Pudists, Eero Saarinen's secretary, still in her 90's. With a memory better than any of us, she was there during the growth of the Saarinen practice and made arrangements with Aline when he died.

“We're always talking about what it's like to be in a relationship with other people. But we forget the value of ‘What's it like to be in a relationship with me?'” We are constantly busy all day. Our minds are pulled in a million different directions. How many times have you looked at your phone today? Checked your email? Checked all your other notifications?  If you don't take time to slow down and reconnect with yourself, you'll wear yourself out physically, mentally, and spiritually. (And if you think you don't have time, think again.) My guest Amber Hagberg is a yoga instructor, business coach, and host of the Yoga Off the Mat podcast. In our conversation today, she gives plenty of truths and wisdom about the value of self-care and taking time for you. She brilliantly explains what self-care is and why it's the key to healing from difficult emotions. Here's what Amber talked about in this episode: (5:26) Amber shares what it's like living in Costa Rica and how she had to leave her fast-paced American way of life behind (10:55) “For the first time in my life, a sense of peace.” Amber talks about how yoga transformed her emotional state after the passing of her father (12:06) How to use your breath as a powerful tool that lets you exist in the present moment  (14:26) Amber's favorite yoga poses and how she does yoga while being 8 months pregnant!  (17:58) The amazing thing that happens if you turn off your phone for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening  (21:18) If you don't think you have time for self-care, Amber has valuable advice for you (30:54) Amber's #1 tip for gaining confidence when you're afraid to do something  Yoga is Amber's favorite way to get people to reconnect with themselves, but it's not the only way. Whether you're a yoga fanatic or you've never tried it, this episode is worth a listen. A lot of us folks in recovery have big collections of self-help and memoir books, and with good reason. Books give us solace, they help us see how other people deal with similar challenges, they are a source of community through contact with other minds, and, as articulated by Eva Hagberg, this week's guest on the Flourishing After Addiction podcast, books, and particularly memoirs, are a way of trying on different “moral selves.” Eva is an author who has written beautifully about her own addiction and recovery in her  memoir, How to be Loved. It's an honest and raw account that includes her experiences with chronic medical conditions, grief, loss, romances, and friendship. In this episode, we talk about being seen and wanting to be known, the creative process, what she has learned from memoirs—addiction and otherwise—and her own experience with different varieties of 12-step recovery. And, with my own book coming out soon, she gives me some great advice about focusing on what matters most. Eva Hagberg is an author, cultural and architectural historian, architecture critic, speaker, and more. Her critically-acclaimed memoir, How to Be Loved, is out now from Mariner Books. In a fun twist, we also talk about an unexpected set of connections between recovery and architecture, related to her next project: a biography of Aline Louchheim Saarinen, forthcoming from Princeton University Press.  She teaches at Columbia University in the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and at Bard College in the Language & Thinking Program. She lives in Brooklyn. Find her at her website, or on Twitter. In this episode: - Ira Glass on the “taste gap:” “Nobody tells people who are beginners — and I really wish somebody had told this to me — is that all of us who do creative work … we get into it because we have good taste. But it's like there's a gap, that for the first couple years that you're making stuff, what you're making isn't so good, OK? It's not that great. It's really not that great. It's trying to be good, it has ambition to be good, but it's not quite that good. But your taste — the thing that got you into the game — your taste is still killer, and your taste is good enough that you can tell that what you're making is kind of a disappointment to you”- Melissa Febos, author of Whip Smart, Girlhood, Abandon Me, and Body Work. - A Round-Heeled Woman: My Late-Life Adventures in Sex and Romance, by Jane Juska- Dani Shapiro, author of Slow Motion, Devotion, Inheritance, and other books. - The sociologist Robin Room analyzing codependency and Adult Children of Alcoholics, in the context of other 12-step thinking: Alcoholics Anonymous as a Social Movement - Erving Goffman, The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life - Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You, by Peter CameronSign up for my newsletter for regular updates on new interviews, material, and other writings.

Amber also dives into how her yoga practice has become an integral part of her day and allows her to take control of her responses to stressful situations.    We also dispel some of the myths around meditation and how empowering it can become when you integrate daily practice into your routine.    https://marissarehder.com/ https://marissa-rehder.mykajabi.com/self-care-haven-membership    Connect with Amber: https://instagram.com/amberhagberg    https://www.facebook.com/groups/yogaforinnerpeace
