Men fyri tað stuðlar hann kortini Víkingi líka nógv.

Back in 2010, Japanese writer Mari Kondo changed how we think about organisation and decluttering with her bestseller The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Behind the book's grand title is a simple premise: anything that doesn't bring you joy should be thrown away. Since then, a new and somewhat similar trend caught on in the late 2010s: death cleaning. It's mainly designed for people entering the final stages of their life, and making sure they don't overboard before passing away. People started talking about death cleaning in 2018, when Stockholm-based artist and widow Margareta Magnusson published a book called The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning. Since then, the trend has started catching on. The name comes from the Swedish döstädning: a combination of the word “dö”, which means death, and “standing”, which means cleaning. How did Magnusson come up with the term? Where does death cleaning fit in alongside other minimalist trends? From what age do people start death cleaning? What do academics have to offer that practitioners do not already have? They have the data academics want. They can analyse it by themselves, sometimes better than academics. They are also not reading our articles. So why would academics bother engaging with them? Why should we even bridge that perceived or existing gap between theory and practice? Because academics need to dip their toes into practice, and they need to mingle with industry to stay relevant. So says Jonny Holmström, director and co-founder of the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation. He has been at the forefront of doing academic research that blends theory and practice, rigor and relevance, and he knows a thing or two about how to do so successfully. His secret? Maximize the gap between academics and practitioners, don't close it. References Holmström, J., Magnusson, J., & Mähring, M. (2021). There are only a handful of people on the planet with as much wave design experience as Cheyne Magnusson. He's part of an obsessed, laser-focused elite squad of wave designers - individuals who can take a multi-million dollar piece of equipment and shape waves. His journey started nearly a decade ago when he was at Body Glove and the boss asked, “what can we do with wave pools?” He went on to shape the wave program at Waco, create the Palm Springs Surf Club and now, as we learned, branch out into more new projects (spoiler alert, he names locations). We joined him in Palm Springs on location at the newly re-opened Palm Springs Surf Club.

Medial tibial stres sendromu tanısını destekleyen fizik...

How do mystical systems and spiritual philosophies help us understand our subconscious better? How do we reconcile the apparent tensions between different systems? How might art serve to bridge the divide?Over the past few years, I've admired the work of Brynja Magnusson as well as her ability to seamlessly weave her artistic and spiritual practices. Her guidebooks and card decks have been trusted guides in my own study of Human Design, Animal Totems, the I-Ching, and Yin Mysticism. Early on in my Human Design journey, Brynja also gave me a reading that felt like a turning point and gently ignited a flame of curiosity to explore the system more deeply. In this conversation, we explored the connections and distinctions between various spiritual systems, the role of encouragement in nurturing our subconscious, moving away from dogmatic ways of approaching mystical systems, and sharing knowledge while learning. Here's Brynja's bio:Brynja is a student of spiritual philosophy. While apprenticing in topics of shamanism, ritual, human energetics, and nature-based spirituality she creates functional illustrated guidebooks based on her notes of the material she studies. Brynja works with mediums of art, writing, and personal sessions to, directly and indirectly, provide the subconscious and spirit with alternative tools. Brynja is the creator of Ceremoniance, an art-based company that shares her studies via art, design, and description. Brynja creates beautifully illustrated guidebooks and card decks on topics of Human Design, the I Ching, Animal Totems, Yin Mysticism, and soon the tarot and recovery work. By giving an artistic platform to obscured wisdom, we can maintain and promote the transformative practices cultivated by humans over thousands of years.Brynja's offerings (including her decks and sessions) can be found through her website Ceremoniance. On the southwest side of Indianapolis, a mother and her daughter on Thursday practiced their dance moves for a Saturday festival.Tina Magnusson and her 18-year-old daughter, Anna Magnusson, will perform with their dance troupe during the Asian Fest at the Indiana Historical Society in downtown Indianapolis. Anna will perform Mulan, a re-enactment of a Chinese poem. In the dance, she portrays the female warrior who disguises herself as a man to take her sickly father's place in battle. It's a familiar storyline from Walt Disney Pictures' 1998 movie “Mulan.” Magnusson noted that the film is based on the original Chinese poem.Anna's movements during practice were quick with flips and leg raises. “The whole army has fallen, and she is trying to get back up,” she said. She described Mulan as someone who “represents courage and perseverance,” but in a way, she also describes herself. “It's very hard being the only Asian kid in a setting full of white Americans, not seeing myself represented in anything.”Anna grew up in Indiana and felt different, but she's also courageous. Instead of armor, she will don a costume and join her dance troupe to represent her culture. In contrast to Anna's powerful dance moves, her mother, Tina Magnusson, on Thursday practiced the plum blossom fan dance with grace and slower movements. A dance teacher, she described the opening of a fan as symbol of growing flower. “The plum flower is a Taiwanese national flower because the colder it is. … They're still growing so they represent endurance and perseverance inside all of us.”The mother-and-daughter duo will share their love of dance, but, more than that, Tina says, it's sharing something out of this world. “It feels like heaven. In heaven, it should be a different language, culture, skin color.”In the United States, May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The feature interviews, presented by Sense Arena, Magnusson, who is also co-founder and co-owner of Sweden Hockey Institute, catches us up on his seemingly never-ending journey to learn more about the position he loves, including journeys to the dark side of scoring development that has put the goalies in a position of playing catch up, and being invited to present to the Toronto Maple Leafs on how workload affects goalie health and performance. It's another deep dive into the art and science of goaltending, including great insights into why (and how) goalie coaches may need to re-thinking practice plans, applicable lessons of Ecological Dynamics from a virtual Sport Movement Skill Conference, and the impact of soon-to-be Hall of Fame Henrik Lundqvist on goaltending in Sweden. Also, we talk about the upcoming coaches conference at the 2024 World Junior Championship in Sweden. Anyone with a strong interest in learning from and participating in the discussions at the goaltending stream of the conference are welcome to attend, which also include tickets to the bronze, silver and gold medal games of the tournament. All that, plus an in-person trip to The Hockey Shop Source for Sports for a look at the new CCM AXIS XF mask, with an innovative new 3D printed liner that improves comfort, protection and breathability.
In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions ! To listen to the last episodes, you can click here : What is a faecal transplant? What is BookTok? What is the romance gap? Podden publiceras i vår app Sveriges Radio Play fredag 15:00 i vecka 32 - 2023.Johan Hakelius: Framtiden tillhör förlorarna! The winner takes it all”. MEN!

One of the greatest markers of our adult life is when we fully come to realize that we were designed with intention, created for a specific purpose and mission. Nothing God has ever done has been an accident, and He knows every part of you, even the talents you might not have realized yet. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.” No matter where life takes you, you can trust that He knows where you're headed, and is guiding you through every step. Our guests this week each have beautiful abilities that they consider to be gifts from God. Aaron Tippin is a country music star who enjoyed great popularity in the 90's, but before that, grew up on a family farm, where he learned to fly planes with his father and absolutely fell in love with being in the air, and being “closer to heaven” as he likes to describe. Eleven year-old Jude Kofie, who experiences autism, surprised his family—especially his father Isaiah, who worried about his future—when he walked in to hear Jude playing their portable keyboard like a seasoned pianist, though he'd never played before in his life. When piano tuner Bill Magnusson heard their story on the news, he was compelled to help this family and gave a gift that would allow Jude to realize his potential in a bigger way, and a beautiful relationship was born that has been a gift to them all. And when I looked out the window and I saw those cars on the ground looking like Hot Wheels toys, I said, ‘This is it. There's nothing greater.'” - Aaron Tippin “Getting close to Christ during those [early days in Nashville], was very, very comforting. You find out you're not as alone as you think you are.” - Aaron Tippin “I don't know where my next blessing is going to be. I'm not sure I want to know or need to know. I believe that He does have a plan. God's not through me yet.” - Aaron Tippin “I know how important it is to have a good instrument to practice on and how lovely it is to have a wonderful piano to play on to make beautiful music.” - Bill Magnusson “That wonderful gift [of a piano], that selfless act, is what secured Jude's future. It was taking all our worries away.” - Isaiah Kofie “We seem to live in a world where people are utterly desperate for a little bit of good news and to feel a little better than they feel right now.” - Bill Magnusson “I just bought a piano and that was all I did. All the rest of this stuff is God, it's not me.” - Bill Magnusson ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! Happy spring or autumn to you, dear listener! This episode is a really wonderful one to help us dive into a new season - I spoke to Phelicia of Queen and Crow about such wonderful things like: Being called to be tender in all we do Letting flowers hold us through periods of grief Being polyamorous with the plant world Finding small everyday rituals and resisting the ways capitalism wants to sell things back to us I hope you'll enjoy this conversation as much as I did! Phelicia Okon Magnusson is a queer black herbalist and flower essence practitioner based on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Her work centers folks of color who are affirming their wholeness by healing inter-generational trauma, moving though narratives of shame, reclaiming pleasure practices, exploring sexuality and returning to their intuition and resilience in the face of ongoing oppression. Phelicia's work is open to everyone and is an embodied exploration of building reciprocal relationships with land and plants to tend healing and facilitate transformation and acceptance. instagram: https://www.instagram.com/queenandcrow/ Website: https://www.queenandcrow.com/ email: phelicia@queenandcrow.com Tiffany, the tarot led, plant inspired embodiment coach Phelicia mentioned: https://www.lovechildbotanix.com/ Here is the new Patreon offering I mentioned: https://www.yarrowmagdalena.com/practice/ and here is the marketing immersion week: https://pinkwellstudio.com/marketing-immersion/ Thank you for listening!
