My incredible guests today are a combination of parent and peer - incredible parents, Jeff and Kathy Long who saw their daughter suffering and felt helpfless to do something about it - although they tried everything and found that there were resources that were not accessible in one place or not accessible at all or if they were, they were adults sharing their professional and sometimes personal expertise with youth - they even wrote a book about their experience, A Parent's Guide to Anorexia. This significant gap they discovered became a precursor to the organization featured today… We know, Our youth listen to their peers, so they came up with an amazing online resource that they will talk about in detail today, Teens4Teens Help provides an array of resources and support that are driven by youth needs rather than by adults and yet, the site is supported by professionals and adults in the field and those with personal experience. Their purpose is: to empower teens who are suffering from emotional and mental health issues to choose their own recovery. One of the things I love most about their website, is their driving mantra: We are a group of young people who faced serious mental health challenges. We chose recovery, you can too. These are our stories…

This week, we're traveling to the land down under to examine one of the greatest straight to video action films ever made, ‘Under the Gun'. Starring the one and only Richard Norton and featuring such martial arts legends as Kathy Long and Sam Greco, this super fun, well-written and hard-hitting action flick delivers one hell of a kick-ass ride. Norton not only shines in the action department per usual, but also gives what is his finest acting performance as the down on his luck, tough as nails, and undeniably suave Frank Torrance- an ex-hockey player turned nightclub owner, whose charm is matched only by his lethal martial arts abilities. With a target on his back and everyone out to get him, he must use every trick in the book to make it through the night and survive his high-risk gamble, where there is more than just money at stake! Listen in as we analyze what makes this movie so special, why it stands out in the vast field of 90's straight to video action movies and why you should check it out as soon as possible! Don't forget to subscribe, download and share with your friends! Thanks again for the continued support and we hope you enjoy!

Welcome to the first episode to be released in 2022, which we recorded in the dying days of '21! We kick off the new year with KRAYS: CODE OF SILENCE, and I don't mind saying that this period police procedural took us all by surprise. What a film to start 2022 with! Next is another pleasant surprise - THE JACK IN THE BOX: AWAKENING is a sequel to the 2019 film and this time the box has been procured by someone who is aware of its powers! We were all impressed with director Steve Lawson's previous film, Ripper Untold. Now he's back with another indie period drama with hints of horror - will JEKYLL AND HYDE have a similar success? Speaking of directors we like, I was very happy to see Charlie Steeds' name appear at the start of WINTERSKIN. We've covered his work before and will be reviewing his latest in the near future. This is from 2018 but only just getting a UK release. Finally we have MONSTERS IN THE CLOSET, an anthology film in which a pulp horror writer's creations start to come to life! Our Short Shot is STREETFIGHTER: PSYCHOSIS, a fan film in which Ryu is abducted by Shadaloo Agents! Click the link to watch the whole 13min film! And our DTV Throwback is THE STRANGER - martial artist Kathy Long stars as the titular mysterious character who turns up in a town overrun by a violent biker gang (available on Prime, but also on YOUTUBE). Follow the Short Shots TWITTER page, where we will be linking to a short film every day! Don't forget to also check out our main show, the DTV DIGEST on TWITTER and FACEBOOK!
Teens 4 Teens Help: Innovative Peer-to-Peer Platform for Young People Seeking Recovery Show Guests: Jeff, Kathy and Kara Long Teens 4 Teens Help is comprised of a group of young people who faced (or are facing) serious mental health challenges—who choose recovery. The founders of Teens 4 Teens Help, Jeff and Kathy Long, started their journey when they admitted their own daughter into a Residential Program for the treatment of an eating disorder. It was a bumpy road with many twists and turns filled with many revelations and tools that they learned could facilitate recovery. Jeff, Kathy and Kara share that this is a project of love with the knowledge that teens are fairly inseparable from their internet connections, they realized that a peer-to-peer platform was the best way to reach the most people. He continues that their mission is to become the largest movement of its kind that will positively impact the lives of thousands of teens and their families across the country and globally.
Will we ever find out how the pandemic started? In the past few months, the theory that Covid-19 actually came from a lab in Wuhan (instead of jumping from a bat to a human in a food market) has been back in the spotlight. But is all this chat being led by science or politics? Can the two even be separated anymore? For this special Newscast, Adam is joined by Newsnight's Mark Urban, the BBC China correspondent, John Sudworth alongside his producer Kathy Long, and BBC science correspondent, Victoria Gill. Today's Newscast was made by Maz Ebtehaj with Alix Pickles and Ben Cooper. The Studio Director was Micheal Regaard. Sam Bonham is the Assistant Editor. Dino Sofos is the Editor.

"Zum Fest der Liebe, treffen wir unsere Freunde der Hiebe. Sie alle haben familiäre Probleme, und schon beginnt das Fremdgeschäme!" Frohe Weihnachten mit Cynthia Rothrock, Kathy Long, Gary Daniels und Daniel Bernhardt wünschen euch eure Verbalakrobaten Tom und Markus. Musik: Shitty Flute
David DeCouteau gives us a clinic on how to make a terrible movie in 2 days. Yeah it stinks, but hey! Two days! Suck it, Spielberg! Gary Daniels, Cynthia Rothrock, Kathy Long and Daniel Bernhardt give us the least action packed movie of all time. Yes you read that right. There is a total count of 0 spin kicks. 0 double axe handles. 0 flying leap kicks to the tummy. Literally there is 0 action. You pulled a big one on us David, you got us. LOL. Haha. We've all had a good laugh now, but so can you seriously add a Special Edition which involves Gary Daniels sweeping Chris Mitchum's legs and Cynthia Rothrock giving Daniel Bernhardt a back breaker over the couch while Kathy Long does a flying kick through a window - shattering Andy's (or Justin Bieber?) clavicle? Two of our podcasters thought this movie was boring and I don't get it. I loved this movie. It's arguably the best riffing movie we've ever seen. I mean imagine Birdemic bad but doesn't piss you off and still manages to capture the true meaning of Christmas - maybe more than Santa With Muscles and I Believe in Santa Claus. I find it to be a true stinker masterpiece. Sure, I can see your argument that we have to suffer through 10 minutes and 23 seconds of ad-lib croquet. Sure, there's a "fog" that doesn't exist. Sure, we've got a bit of three dudes in a hot tub. Yet, I find it an amazing Christmas experience and I hope you can too.

In reality the famous commemorative trail is not a contiguous, physical route but rather a symbolic system of roads honoring the men and women of our armed forces over the decades. In this podcast we speak with Kathy Long, Ventura County Supervisor, about the official inclusion of scenic coastal Highway 101 in southern California in this honorific highway system.

As a young girl I struggled with my body image. Starting at the age of 12 I began noticing and comparing the difference between others' bodies and mine. This is an ongoing struggle that so many face, especially teens and young adults, with 95% of people with eating disorders being between 12 and 25. It's because of this that makes what Jeff and Kathy long do so important. For years, the media has always showcased unrealistic and dangerous body standards, from models in magazines to actresses on TV. However, kids nowadays have even more exposure to these dangerous standards through social media. With filters, Photoshop, and strategically angled photos, an unattainable and unhealthy body has become normalized and desired. No one understands this issue more than Jeff and Kathy Long. After their daughters' long battle with Anorexia Nervosa, they decided to write their book A Parent's Guide to Anorexia, which includes information on treatment options, support, and more, in order to help guide parents with a child going through Anorexia. Jeff and Kathy are also the founders of Teens 4 Teens Help, which is a nonprofit organization for young people struggling with mental health issues. Teens 4 Teens Help allows young people to share their experiences with recovery peer-to-peer in order to help others recover as well.
