The Gene Simmons of Data P rotection: Protegrity's KISS MethodToday, we are kicking off a new series on the podcast, entitled The Gene Simmons of Data Protection - the KISS Method, brought to you by none other than Protegrity. Protegrity is AI-powered data security for data consumption, offering fine grain data protection solutions, so you can enable your data security, compliance, sharing and analytics.Episode Title: KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid): A Data Security Dilemma with James RiceIn this episode, we are talking with James Rice, VP at Protegrity. He is going to help us strip away the nonsense, when it comes to securing data, and help us understand why we don't need a fortress... just a kill switch. While companies throw billions at firewalls, AI driven threat detection, and fortress like defenses - attackers still find their way in. James reminds us to keep it simple, with Protegrity's KISS Method which stands for Keep It Simple Stupid - and how when data is useless to attackers, breaches become mere inconveniences instead of existential threats.Questions:What exactly is the KISS method, and how does it apply to cybersecurity? Why are traditional cybersecurity approaches failing to stop breaches? What are some of the biggest myths about security that lead businesses to waste money on ineffective defenses? How do encryption, tokenization, and de-identification work together to make stolen data useless? Can you share an example where a company's focus on complex security backfired, and how a simpler approach could have helped? What's the biggest pushback you hear from companies hesitant to adopt a simpler, data-first security model? If a company wanted to implement the KISS method tomorrow, what are the first three steps they should take?Linkshttps://www.protegrity.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesrice1/Our Sponsors:* Check out Kinsta: https://kinsta.com* Check out Vanta: https://vanta.com/CODESTORYSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/code-story/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

- YAGNI: You ain´t gonna need it. - Simplest thing + Baby steps. - Separation of Concerns. - DRY : Don´t repeat yourself. - Code for the manteiner Si conocés alguna otra que deberíamos comentar, te invito a compartirla. Life is complicated. Or is it? Life is simple; however, we complicate it with our choices. Since we make it more difficult, we can also make it simple. Ready to learn how? In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops hosts Greer and Whitnie discuss the benefits of simplifying your life. In recognition of National Simplicity Day, which was created to unshackle people from the complications and the hustle and bustle of daily life, we discuss the value of slowing down and enjoying what life has to offer when you're not overburdened with, well… life. Using Whitnie's 8-step formula, the duo walks through S-I-M-P-L-I-F-Y and provides examples of how you, too, can apply the basic principles to reduce stress, clutter, and hassle from your life and the world around you. Systems. Love 'em or hate 'em every industry has them. And shepherding is no different. As Chapter 5 of our Head Shepherd's book 'Sheep Shepherd Dog - Building a Magnificent Team Around You' reveals. In this series of conversations with the author, and veteran shepherd, Chris Farnsworth this is not just an audio book. His stories from the farming world and Raising the Baa's client programmes bring the theory to life in an engaging and often humorous way. In this episode we discuss why systems are integral to teamwork, whether that team is the shepherd, his dog and sheep or a more traditional business team. Chris explains a couple of his sheep handling systems which, in his opinion, need to be simple for a shepherd. Occasionally someone has to step in to his shoes or a student might be helping Chris. For these circumstances Chris needs a system that can be easily understood and readily usable by a third party. Likewise when employing an apprentice or first jobber, it accelerates their induction if they can quickly adopt the system. Or indeed challenge it. A fresh mind can look at things differently and may bring about an improvement. It's important that we remain open to others' perspectives and to allow time to discuss them. What systems have you got in place? Is it time to view it from a different angle to make it simpler, faster, smoother? If this episode prompts any questions, Tweet us or email caroline@raisingthebaa.com and we'll ensure it is answered in a future episode.Enjoy - and thank ewe for listening :-)Connect with the speakers via LinkedIn:Caroline Palmer - Top Dog and co-founder, Raising the BaaChris Farnsworth - Head Shepherd and co-founder, Raising the Baa & author of 'Sheep Shepherd Dog - Building a Magnificent Team Around You'
In this episode, The old saying KISS (Keep it Super Simple) is appropriate here. Language can be very simple. It is best used with the fewest words needed to completely convey a message. It is also important to understand that communication is the goal and nothing else.If you use words or structure your listener does not know, you fail in your objective. Language is not intended to obfuscate but instead to illuminate. Also, your tonality and pacing are important in creating understanding. Learning to use language to be clear and complete is a powerful skill. Storytelling also uses simple language and is a perfect example of simple yet clear messaging.Connect with Kellan on social media at: Facebook: www.facebook.com/kellan.fluckiger3YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/ultimatelifeformulaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/kellan.fluckiger/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kellanfluckigerTwitter: https://twitter.com/kellanfluckiger You can find out more about Kellan and how he can help you achieve your ultimate life by checking out his website: https://www.kellanfluckiger.com/Subscribe to the podcast at:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-ultimate-life-with-kellan-fluckiger/id1505919748Amazon music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/search/your%20ultimate%20life%20with%20kellan%20fluckigerSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6IXjYZo38go7Pv5ElanVv4Simplecast: https://your-ultimate-life-by-kellan-fluckiger.simplecast.com/Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zaW1wbGVjYXN0LmNvbS84YVZ1VlVkQw==Stitcher: *https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/your-ultimate-life-with-kellan-fluckiger?refid=stpriHeart: *https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-your-ultimate-life-with-ke-61503928/Deezer: *https://www.deezer.com/us/show/1028862RadioPublic: https://radiopublic.com/your-ultimate-life-with-kellan-fl-G3AMY2
Our lives have us in a constant state of motion. We're moving from one responsibility to another, and sometimes our calendar can control us not the other way around. One way to keep control of your own progress is to remember to KISS, or Keep It Super Simple. I prefer to think of the acronym like this other than the Keep It Simple Stupid term most of us know. We are not stupid, just crazy busy working on our best selves. Sometimes a gentle reminder to Keep It Super Simple is all we need to get back on track.
The theme of this podcast is KISS: Keep it Simple! But why? Check it out in this episode as Colton and Joel explain why you have to keep it simple. Hi Guys, welcome to the podcast. In the debut episode I talk about the time when I was 25 and 26 years old and I worked for the Championship New York Yankees. I was The Massage Therapist and Healer for the team for two years and travelled full time with the squad. It was a huge huge adventure, and provided some valuable life lessons at a time when I was still being shaped into a man. Here are 6 things I learned at a young age, while working with The New York Yankees.1. KISS Keep it Simple Stupid -Simplicity is Purity2. Come Back Tomorrow- losing is part of life, come back to win the next day 3. You Gotta have Antenna 30 feet out of your head -everything is energy 4. Just Shut Up and work hard when you are young- be humble and train consistently5. Be HUNGRY- have energy in your eyes6. Ice Water in The Veins- We train to master our own mind My illustrious career has allowed me to build incredible connections with interesting, healers, scientists teachers and guides. Stay tuned for subsequent episodes, where I have discussions about the process of cultivating mastery. The Jai Sugrim Method, is all about living the best life possible, by modelling excellence and training positive habits.
Undoubtedly, our biggest problem is what we tell ourselves about our problems!!! The K.I.S.S. principle is a choice that makes life delicious!!!
From starting investing in 2013 to achieving a 6-figure portfolio by age 25, there were a few investment principles I picked up along the way. Time can either be your best friend or you worst enemy, procrastination is the deciding factor for that one. Also, KISS (Keep it simple stupid), you don't need a sophisticated investment strategy to build long-term wealth, just time and discipline. A wiseman once told me, “You can control two things, how much you spend, and how much you earn, but controlling your spending is a whole lot easier!”. DM me on any platform listed at the bottom of the description or email me at wallstjunky@gmail.com for any questions or topic requests The quick and dirty to starting to invest: -Track your expenses for a month -Notice how much is spent excessively on things like food, drinks, etc. -Cut expenses by say, $50 (eat out twice per month and Starbucks once a week instead of two) -Open either a traditional brokerage account or contribute additional capital to company 401k -Just to list a few brokerage companies: TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, ETrade, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, and many more -The investment industry has gotten insanely competitive, as a result, most brokerages charge no commissions for Stocks or ETFs -Set up automatic monthly contributions into your brokerage account so you don't spend that $50 you saved in expenses! -Listen to the entire podcast and do your own due diligence on low-cost investment vehicles like ETFs, Index Funds, or even some Mutual Funds -Invest at all times (up markets, down markets, sideways markets), enjoy the ride! Don't try to time the market! ETFs discussed in this podcast: VUG - Vanguard's Large Cap Growth fund that focuses on passively investing in large-capitalization growth stocks. VTI - Vanguard's Total US Stock Market fund that attempts to replicate the total return of the US Stock Market VOO - Vanguard's fund that tracks the S&P 500 Favorite economists to follow: Mohamed A. You SUCK at starting habits! So do we. Turns out it's a super common thing to struggle with. This week we talk about a little "hack" that we can use to more mindfully create the habits we're after. It goes like this: Define your "entry point" to a habit. This is the first step you would take in completing a goal. Now stop, don't go any further. Focus on doing this entry point task daily until it in itself becomes a habit. Then, you'll work your way up over time. KISS (Keep it simple, stupid). Don't push yourself too hard.. relax and listen to this episode to learn more. Welcome to episode 8 of Measure Twice Cut Once. In this episode, we have a very special guest. We chat about how our guest started in woodworking, his workshop and his pet project. We hope you enjoy this episode.
About a very popular yet dreadful expression: “KISS: Keep it Simple Stupid” At least, it's a non statement. And it's misleading.
It's REALLY okay right now to Keep It Super Simple… wherever you can. And I know that can be REALLY hard! My brain makes anything complex without me even trying! I include three super simple tips.
