Send us a text and let us know what you think of our podcast! It is the end ... but the moment has (not?) been prepared for...What we thought was a regular season finale turned out to be a Regeneration story as Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor bid farewell to us after two, too short seasons! In this episode of our podcast, we look at both Wish World and the second part of the finale, The Reality War and discuss a whole lot of things including...the overall feelings regarding the Fifteenth Doctor eraRTD and the "Yes" menanswers and their absence, particularly in relation to Mrs Flood talking to the audience!!wasting characters - we're looking at your decrepit corpse, Omega!was this always meant to be a Regeneration story?literally putting Belinda in a boxPoppy! Would that all have worked better with Ruby?Nonsense that doesn't make sense ...and of course we tackle two of the biggest bomb shells to come out of this episode......the return of Billie Piper as...maybe The Doctor? Our reactions are polarized on this! But one thing we do agree on is, the return of Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor is a glorious moment to treasure! And of course, we hear from our listeners with their thoughts too!Support the show Subscribe to Who Corner to Corner on your podcast app to make sure you don't miss an episode! Stu Burguiere looks at President Donald Trump's updated version of the Environmental Protection Agency and speculates on what such a department could accomplish when no longer burdened by mountains of Joe Biden-era red tape and corruption. Frank is joined by guest host Rachel to unpack a week's worth of religious overreach, political absurdity, and moral panic dressed up as righteousness. From Oklahoma's conspiracy-laced curriculum changes to France's proposed hijab ban for girls under 15, this episode explores how authority figures use “values” to mask control. Plus: the Pope's childhood home might be seized, Rushdie's attacker is sentenced, and new data reveals why more people are leaving belief behind.

PRESS REVIEW – Tuesday, May 27: First, the tit-for-tat between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin after Russia's assault on Kyiv continues to make headlines. Also, Israeli papers are divided on how to cover the most recent Jerusalem marches. And, Namibia will be celebrating their first ever Remembrance Day to commemorate the genocide of the Herero and Nama people. Next, Eritrea's national football team will be playing its first game since January 2020. Finally, Brigitte Macron's shove makes waves in the papers. Trump and Putin's tit-for-tat comments are widely discussed in the papers, the BBC sums it up in their headline: “Kremlin calls Trump emotional after US president says Putin is crazy”. Trump's comments came after Russia launched the largest drone assault on Kyiv in the last three years, which killed several civilians. The New York Times says that although he condemned the killings, he has not made Putin pay the price. It says that Trump has never followed through with his warnings, resulting in a "strategic void in which Trump complains about Russia's killings but is unwilling to make Putin pay even a modest price”. CNN says that the president might be shifting his perspective on “what looks like an increasingly futile US effort” to find peace in Ukraine. Meanwhile, cartoonists in the Times and the Guardian make light of the fading bromance.Jerusalem saw marches and celebrations for Israel's Jerusalem day, which were covered very differently in the Israeli papers. Jerusalem Post have a peaceful looking photo of celebrants waving Israeli flags for Jerusalem day. The Times of Israel reports that far-right protestors chanted “death to Arabs”, and held up banners calling for the expulsion of Palestinians. The left-wing paper Haaretz is also covering the march, it says that the hate filled Jerusalem March demonstrated the far right's true goal for Gaza.Namibia will be celebrating Remembrance Day tomorrow. The Namibian daily New Era has it on their front page today, reminding everyone that Remembrance Day is tomorrow. It is the first time Remembrance Day will be celebrated to honour the victims of the genocide against Namibia's indigenous Herero and Nama populations between 1904-1908. It is thought that up to 110,000 people were murdered by the German Empire. The German paper Stern is also covering this story. In May 2021, Germany recognized the atrocities as genocide for the first time, but they did not apologise. The article says that although the German government pledged to provide reconstruction aid worth 1.1 billion euros, it ruled out reparations.Eritrea is holding a small football tournament for the 32nd anniversary of the country's "independence". L'Equipe reports that the Red Sea Boys, Eritrea's national football team are going to play again for the first time since January 2020. Le Monde is also talking about the team's return and travel ban. It features an interview with French historian Gérard Prunier, who doubts that this tournament should be taken as a sign of newfound openness. Finally, Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have been in the spotlight after a video emerged of Brigitte Macron slapping or shoving her husband Emmanuel Macron as they landed in Vietnam. “Nonsense” according to Macron in the New York Times. The president later said they were just “joking” as reports the Guardian. You can catch our press review every morning on France 24 at 7:20am and 9:20am (Paris time), from Monday to Friday.

I'm so deeply grateful to all of you for your one-pointed attention on devotional service. You're using your lives, starting with the most important part—the beginning—and getting established deeply in sādhana that will carry you through your whole life. All auspiciousness comes from chanting strictly every day, and all nonsense subsides from your life. Nonsense leads to great suffering, confusion, and so forth. So dry up the whole sea of nonsense that's there in your mind by the powerful winds of the holy name. Keep chanting throughout the day as much as possible and keep reading Prabhupāda's books. Follow the four regulative principles, because going off the guard rails, over the guard rails, means that you've got to climb back out again with injuries. So stay safe. Wear your safety belt. Don't go off the road. Kristi Noem faced real pushback from Democrats (finally), as lawmakers grilled her over her growing resume of poor decisions. Meanwhile, RFK Jr. tried to hold court at his own hearing only to be disrupted by protesters and pressed by lawmakers who actually still believe in facts. Imagine that. Sarah is super into Crypto all of a sudden, well, not really, but she is understanding why artists saw potential in the NFT trend. We discuss the new Academy Award rule that mandates people watch the movies before voting, which, uh duh, but also Susie gets crabby about how actors think they're doing way more important work than they are, and we go off on one about how there's no such thing as a fair competition. We learn about the new color scientists discovered, why Susie thinks we need more info, and Sarah wants to discover one too. Sarah bursts our bubble about going to space. Turns out no one has actually ever been there, and not in the conspiracy theory kind of way. We rant about those ladies who went to space again. Melvyn Bragg and guests discuss the French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty (1908-1961), who was part of the movement known as phenomenology. While less well-known than his contemporaries Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, his popularity has increased among philosophers in recent years. Merleau-Ponty rejected Rene Descartes' division between body and mind, arguing that the way we perceive the world around us cannot be separated from our experience of inhabiting a physical body. Merleau-Ponty was interested in the down-to-earth question of what it is actually like to live in the world. While performing actions as simple as brushing our teeth or patting a dog, we shape the world and, in turn, the world shapes us. Today, we're wading into classic "Relatable" territory with a breakdown of speaking in tongues, after we sparked some controversy with a recent reaction to a video of a young woman praying in tongues. We go over the biblical accounts of speaking in tongues and how these should apply to the church and to Christians. Later, we talk about Karmelo Anthony's release on bond after it was reduced from $1 million to $250,000. We discuss the judge and speculate about her motivations. And did the Anthony family really use the fundraiser money to move into a fancy new house?? Share the Arrows 2025 is on October 11 in Dallas, Texas! Go to sharethearrows.com for tickets now! In the winter of 1973, director William Friedkin released his iconic horror classic The Exorcist, a film that has shocked and terrified audiences for more than fifty years. Based on William Peter Blatty's novel of the same name, The Exorcist tells the story of a young girl who becomes possessed by a demonic entity, and the two Catholic priests who attempt to exorcise the demon. Even more terrifying than the content of the film, however, was the fact that The Exorcist was supposedly based on a true story. William Peter Blatty had always stated The Exorcist was based on a supposedly true story he'd heard while at Georgetown University. According to Blatty, a Maryland boy, known as “Roland Doe,” had become possessed by a demonic entity and, among other things, underwent a negative personality change and began exhibiting impossible abilities including an ability to speak Latin. It was only through the dedication of one Jesuit priest that the boy was eventually freed of his possession and went on to live a normal life.Since the release of both the novel and the film in the 1970s, a great deal more has been learned about “Roland Doe” and the supposedly true story that inspired The Exorcist, raising many questions about the veracity of the original claims. Who was “Roland Doe,” and was he truly possessed by a demon, or just the intense emotions of an adolescent boy?Thank you to the Incredible Dave White of Bring Me the Axe Podcast for research and Writing support!ReferencesAllen, Thomas. 1993.
