Theoretisch kann die MS hier noch gestoppt werden. Radiologisch isoliertes Syndrom (RIS) – Zufallsbefund, ohne spürbares Symptom bei einem MRT, kann in eine MS übergehen. Klinisch isoliertes Syndrom (KIS oder CIS) – kann, muss aber nicht in eine MS übergehen. Schubförmig-remittierende MS (RRMS) – der häufigste Verlauf, gut behandelbar. Sekundär progrediente MS (SPMS) – entwickelt sich meist aus der RRMS, wenn die Reserve aufgebraucht ist. Primär progrediente MS (PPMS) – kontinuierlich fortschreitender Verlauf von Beginn an. Bei allen Formen wird intensiv geforscht. Ich bin sicher, dass es künftig immer bessere Behandlungsoptionen geben wird. El 7 de enero de 2015, los hermanos Kouachi, dos franceses de origen argelino, irrumpieron en los locales del semanario satírico francés en el centro de París, matando a ocho miembros de la redacción en una masacre en la que murieron en total 12 personas. Los terroristas querían "vengar" la publicación de caricaturas del profeta Mahoma. Millones de personas salieron a la calle a apoyar la libertad de expresión. Diez años después, ¿qué queda de ese espíritu? Para marcar esta década, Charlie Hebdo tituló en su portada 'Indestructible', con la el dibujo de un lector leyendo la revista y sentado encima de un kalashnikov. "La sátira tiene una virtud que nos ha permitido superar estos años trágicos: el optimismo", esto es lo que escribe en el editorial el director de la publicación, Ris, quien sobrevivió a la masacre. Pero, ¿hay razones para ser optimistas? "En general, personalmente, soy optimista, pero los datos apuntan a tendencias que, desafortunadamente, son pesimistas", afirma Guilherme Canela, jefe de la Sección de Libertad de Expresión y Seguridad de los Periodistas en la UNESCO, Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura, con sede en París."Desde 1990 hasta ahora estamos mejor en términos de libertad de expresión en casi todos los indicadores. Sin embargo, si miramos los últimos diez años, y especialmente los últimos cinco, no estamos mejor, la pregunta es si esto es una tendencia que vino para quedarse o un hipo del sistema.  Nuestra responsabilidad como sociedad es garantizar que esto no sea una tendencia, el mensaje es muy claro, libertad de expresión es un derecho innegociable de nuestras sociedades", reivindica Canela. Una de las razones de que la libertad de expresión goce de peor salud que hace diez años es la expansión de las redes sociales, según el experto. "Con los nuevos espacios digitales, se expandieron mucho las voces, pero también se expandió la violencia con ataques en línea, sobre todo contra las mujeres periodistas", subraya. Para Canela, es muy preocupante que se sigan matando a periodistas y que, sin embargo, estos crímenes no suscitan la misma reacción que hace diez años. "La sociedad tiene que entender que una violencia hecha contra la libertad de expresión es una violencia hecha contra un derecho colectivo, es una violencia contra la sociedad", denuncia el experto que lamenta que las sociedades no están reaccionando como lo hicieron en 2015 ante crímenes más recientes. El 56% de los profesores franceses se autocensuraSin ir más lejos, hace cinco años, en 2020, fue asesinado y decapitado un profesor en las afueras de París. Se llamaba Samuel Paty y fue acusado de blasfemia por alumnos y padres por haber enseñado las caricaturas de Mahoma publicadas por Charlie Hebdo en el marco de un curso sore laicismo y libertad de expresión. El asesino del profesor, un joven refugiado checheno. En 2022, el Senado francés publicó una encuesta que motraba que el 56% de los maestros se autocensuraban a la hora de abordar temas religiosos en clase por miedo a represalias. "La sensación que tenemos es que han aumentado los niveles de riesgo", afirma Canela, y no sólo entre los profesores o los periodistas, sino también entre la comunidad científica o los artistas, "todos los que tienen la libertad de expresión como su quehacer", agrega. La fractura generacional Con motivo del décimo aniversario del atentado islamista contra Charlie Hebdo, la revista ha publicado un sondeo encargado a la empresa Ifop que muestra que el 76% de los franceses creen que la libertad de expresión es un derecho fundamental y que la caricatura forma parte de esa libertad libertad expresión. Un dato positivo si se tiene en cuenta que en 2012, era un 58%. Ahora bien, ante este porcentaje positivo, hay otro más inquietante. El 32% de los menores de 35 años cree que no se puede decir ni caricaturizar nada amparándose en la libertad de expresión, ese porcentaje cae al 21% entre la gente de 35 a 64 años. Una fractura generacional "preocupante", según Guilherme Canela. "Es importante introducir el tema de la libertad de expresión en el espacio de la formación de los niños. Aceptar la libertad de expresión con temas con los que estamos de acuerdo es fácil, pero es difícil aceptar aquello que incluso nos genera enojo" afirma.

L'invasion russe de l'Ukraine, plus de trois décennies après la chute de l'Union Soviétique, contribue à accélérer les transformations géopolitiques au sein de l'espace post-soviétique. Un espace bien sûr structuré par des liens historiques et infrastructurels qui perdurent, mais les évènements récents viennent révéler et exacerber des fractures latentes, précipitant des recompositions géopolitiques en Asie centrale, dans le Caucase ou encore dans les pays baltes. Sans compter les recompositions géopolitiques à venir au Proche-Orient, après la chute du président syrien Bachar el-Assad, allié de Moscou. La Russie voit son influence et sa centralité remises en question par des États qui cherchent à affirmer leur souveraineté, notamment en diversifiant leurs relations. Néanmoins, et alors que la guerre d'Ukraine catalyse cette distanciation voire cet éloignement, certaines dépendances héritées de l'époque soviétique qu'il s'agisse des réseaux énergétiques, des corridors logistiques ou encore d'interconnections cybernétiques, sont autant d'obstacles à l'émancipation complète des anciens membres de l'URSS. L'espace post-soviétique existe-t-il encore comme entité cohérente, ou est-il en voie d'éclatement, de fragmentation ? Among contemporary scholars dedicated to examining the intersection of language and Islamic legal theory, Bernard G. Weiss' contributions to the study of Islamic law frequently emphasise the paramount importance of linguistic inquiries and language analysis (al-mabādiʾ al-lughawiyya or mabāḥith al-alfāẓ) within the uṣūl alfiqh literature. By taking into account a few late-19th/early-20th century digests and manuals used in the madrasa curriculum, his doctoral dissertation Language and Orthodox Muslim Thought: A Study of “Waḍʿ al-Lughah” and its Development and his subsequent articles on ʿilm al-waḍʿ (1966, 1976, and 1987) provided an initial general overview of a new science called ʿilm al-waḍʿ to a Western audience, underscoring its significance within the framework of legal methodology. Nevertheless, the extensive 14th - 20th century exegetical literature of ʿilm al-waḍʿ, originating from the foundational al-Risāla al-Waḍʿiyya of ʿAḍud al-Dīn al-Ījī (d. 756/1355), as well as the contexts in which this short text emerged, remain largely unexplored and understudied. The linguistic investigations of basic elements of language (nouns, verbs, and prepositions) undertaken by early commentators and glossators on al-Ījī's Risāla are mainly devoted to analysing the roots of signification but also to developing a semantic theory that filled critical gaps in various disciplines, like balāgha, uṣūl al-fiqh, and logic. In general, ʿilm al-waḍʿ (lit. the science of linguistic positing), which can be loosely rendered as “semantics of the parts of speech,” examines how terms come to convey their concepts and, particularly, how terms convey particular and individual, or universal and general concepts. The original scope of ʿilm al-waḍʿ aimed to elucidate how terms, such as prepositions and pronouns, are posited in a universal way yet ultimately convey particular and individual concepts. The innovative solutions provided by ʿilm al-waḍʿ for explaining the semantic properties of this group of terms were so influential that premodern scholars, mainly commentators and glossators on al-Ījī's Risāla, expanded the scope of this science, developing a comprehensive semantic theory that encompassed all parts of speech and simple sentence structures, while also engaging with the ḥaqīqa-majāz dichotomy. This presentation will first offer a heretofore unprecedented survey of the emergence and subsequent formation of ʿilm al-waḍʿ as an independent, and yet interdisciplinary, science between uṣūl al-fiqh and ʿilm al-maʿānī wa-l-bayān. It will then present some aspects of the linguistic investigations undertaken by legal theorists prior to the emergence and establishment of ʿilm al-waḍʿ, in order to highlight the innovative and original contributions that this new discipline introduced into the broader discourse of the linguistic inquiries. Finally, it will offer some preliminary reflections on how ʿilm al-waḍʿ has impacted legal theorists' analysis of language and uṣūl al-fiqh literature.
