The search for Nancy Guthrie entered its twelfth day with the recovery of the case's first significant physical evidence and the deployment of the FBI's elite tactical unit to Tucson.FBI agents searching desert roadways in the Catalina Foothills recovered a pair of black latex gloves from the area surrounding Nancy's home. The Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed the discovery. The gloves resemble those worn by the masked individual seen in doorbell camera footage and are being tested for DNA and fingerprints. The forensic question at the center of this evidence — whether the glove interior touched skin directly — will determine if investigators can extract a usable DNA profile. The FBI's Hostage Rescue Team arrived in Tucson Wednesday, a tactical unit deployed when hostage recovery operations may be necessary. The FBI has not commented on HRT's presence, but their deployment twelve days into a case with no confirmed proof of life signals investigators may believe a recovery scenario is possible.Doorbell footage is undergoing advanced analytics including AI-enhanced facial geometry mapping, technology that attempts to identify features through the ski mask fabric. Investigators are also pursuing retail purchase records for the Ozark Trail backpack, ski mask, gloves, and other items visible in the footage, cross-referencing sales across Tucson-area retailers to build a timeline leading to identification.TMZ received a third note Wednesday from someone claiming to know the kidnapper's identity and demanding one bitcoin for the information — a separate individual from the original ransom sender. The original ransom bitcoin wallet also showed its first activity, though the transaction's significance is unknown. The Pima County Sheriff's Department has not held a press briefing in nearly a week. Nancy Guthrie has a pacemaker, requires daily medication the sheriff himself has called potentially fatal to miss, and cannot walk fifty yards on her own. Both ransom deadlines have passed. No proof of life. No confirmed contact with whoever took her. The kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie has entered a critical and deeply unsettling phase as federal authorities confirm that a man was detained overnight in connection with the high-profile disappearance. Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie, has now been missing for 11 days in a case that has gripped national headlines and sparked a massive true crime investigation.According to breaking news developments, law enforcement executed a high-risk vehicle stop involving a DoorDash driver believed to be connected to the kidnapping. SWAT teams conducted the stop, a maneuver typically reserved for situations involving credible threats and urgent operational intelligence. Authorities later clarified that the individual was detained, not arrested, and was ultimately released after being cleared. The search warrant executed at his residence, located roughly 12 miles from the Mexican border and south of Tucson, signals that investigators believed they had actionable information. Whether that lead stemmed from a tip, digital tracking, surveillance footage, or delivery records remains unclear. The FBI's elite Hostage Rescue Team was reportedly deployed, a costly and rare escalation that typically indicates authorities believe a victim may still be alive and recoverable. That deployment fueled hope that Nancy Guthrie might be located quickly. However, no recovery has been announced, and the case remains an active missing person investigation.Investigators are closely analyzing surveillance footage from the night of the abduction, including images of a masked suspect who appears to have deliberately covered a security camera with tree branches before entering the property. Blood evidence confirmed to belong to Nancy Guthrie was found at the scene. Analysts are reportedly examining shoe impressions, possible tattoos, distinctive eyebrows, and clothing details to build a clearer suspect profile.Meanwhile, suspicious ransom demands circulated through media outlets, raising concerns about potential extortion attempts commonly seen in high-profile missing person cases. The FBI continues to follow every lead as more than 100 agents work alongside local authorities. As the mystery deepens and scrutiny intensifies, one question remains at the center of this breaking true crime story: where is Nancy Guthrie?#NancyGuthrie #SavannahGuthrie #BreakingNews #TrueCrime #MissingPerson #KidnappingCase #FBIInvestigation #HostageRescueTeam #CrimeNews #Justice

As 2025 closed, Tracy dedicated three episodes to something that matters deeply: the organizations feeding people who need it most. And we're starting with one that's rewriting what community feeding can look like in Florida. When the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL shared that one of the larger food donation charities they work with was The Freedom Tour, I knew the story would be powerful. What I didn't expect was just how vital their work is to Polk County families. Back in 2016, when The Freedom Tour began, more than 100,000 county residents — including nearly one in four children — were food insecure. Today, the numbers remain high: 113,000 people and more than 33,000 children still face inconsistent access to food. That's over 20% of kids in the county. That's the reality Bobby Williams walks into every day. This week on Eating at a Meeting LIVE, I'm talking with Bobby Williams, founder of The Freedom Tour — an operation that began under a carport and now moves millions of pounds of food every month through mobile pantries, school partnerships, and statewide relief efforts. And for those of us planning meetings and events, this isn't just inspiring — it's instructive. Because your surplus food can become support. Because your leftovers can become lifelines. Because partners like this make donation safe, simple, and deeply impactful. This conversation kicks off a month-long spotlight on organizations that feed communities with dignity, creativity, and heart. Because every meal can make a difference — even the ones we don't serve.

In this episode of The Real ResQ Podcast, host Jason Quinn is joined by Danielle Snyder, a U.S. Forest Service Landscape Architect, volunteer firefighter, and member of the Search and Rescue (SAR) Team with the Sitka, Alaska Fire Department. Living in Sitka, Alaska, Snyder is a Coast Guard “Air Station Fan Girl”! She shares her experiences with search and rescue in Sitka, Alaska. She works with the local department, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard. She recalls her first rescue, searching for an overdue kayaker, and the challenges of searching in the dark. She also discusses a memorable rescue on Bear Mountain, where she rappelled down the steep slope to rescue stranded hunters. The rescue lasted nearly 24 hours and involved navigating through dense vegetation and rappelling into a waterfall. Next, we discuss a plane crash in downtown Sitka where the plane crashed into a house, but miraculously, the owner of the house had left just half an hour earlier. There is also a second story of a plane crash on a nearby mountain where the Coast Guard flew the SAR team up to the scene. Snyder also shares the story of a team member who passed away while hiking on Mount Verstovia. She emphasizes the importance of mental health support for rescue teams and recommends resources like the Responder Alliance. She also recommends the book The Culture Code. The conversation ends on a positive note, highlighting the joy of helping others, the camaraderie within the team, and the importance of teamwork. In addition, there is a need for individuals to show up and be willing to do the job, regardless of their perceived weaknesses. Enjoy! This episode is powered by Vertical HeliCASTS. Decision Making Excercise #3
Nelson Grant is a Sheriff's Deputy and Search and Rescue Team member in the Flathead Valley. In addition to his current duties, he has previous experience on the SWAT Team and Narcotics Task Force. Normally, Nelson and I get the chance to hunt yearly, but this year he decided to turn his foot 180 degrees in the wrong direction while recently riding his dirtbike. When not on duty Nelson enjoys partaking in just about every activity that Northwestern Montana has to offer. Bowhunting, rifle hunting, river raft guiding, dual-sport motorcycle guiding, backcountry split boarding and skiing, touring, trekking, downhill mountain bike riding, jiu-jitsu, and probably even more that I am forgetting. If there was ever a renaissance man of the Montana mountains, Nelson is it. Link to Nelson's Youtube page: / @wldwestadventure
