C'est ce qui va permettre de lier la sauce.- Verse la bouteille de vin rouge. Laisse mijoter la sauce à feu doux, elle doit juste frémir.- Ajoute la branche de thym, une pincée de sel et du poivre, mais surtout ne goûte pas !- Laisse la sauce mijoter 3 ou 4 heures, en remuant de temps en temps, avant de la goûter. Si elle est encore acide, c'est qu'elle doit continuer à cuire. Si elle est bonne et bien foncée, tu la sors du feu et tu la mets de côté jusqu'au lendemain.Le jour du repas :- Fais griller les croûtons au four : découpe le pain en petits cubes et badigeonne-les d'huile d'olive (tu peux aussi les frotter avec de l'ail si tu aimes), place-les sur la plaque du four ou dans un grand plat et mets dans le four en mode grill.- Fais griller les lardons dans une poêle- Réchauffe la sauce que tu as préparée hier : elle doit être très chaude mais sans bouillir. - Casse les œufs dans la sauce pour les pocher. „Leopoldštates” iestudējums Dailes teātrī un „Arkādija” kā viena Jaunā Rīgās teātra plānotajām atgriešanās izrādēm Lāčplēša ielas namā bija nopietns iemesls, lai sarunātos par un ar seru Tomu Stopardu, slavenāko britu dramaturgu aiz Šekspīra, godalgotu gan teātra, gan kino jomā. Sarunā piedalās aktrises Guna Zariņa un Vita Vārpiņa, teātra zinātniece Guna Zeltiņa un literatūrzinātnieks Benedikts Kalnačs. Attālināti sarunā tikāmies arī ar Tomu Stopardu. Laikā, kad vienā Latvijas Radio studijā notiek saruna par britu dramaturgu seru Tomu Stopardu, tikmēr citā studijā norit saruna ar pašu Tomu Stopardu. Protams, visjaukāk būtu būtu, ka sers Toms Stopards sēdētu pie studijas galda kopā ar citiem sarunas dalībniekiem. Bet Dailes teātra izrāde "Leopoldštate", par kuras lielāko trumpi teātris izspēlēja režisoru Džonu Malkoviču, mums lika domāt par dramaturgu Tomu Stopardu, kurš saņēmis neskaitāmas balvas par saviem darbiem gan dramaturģijā, gan kino. Saruna Kultūras rondo ir īsais kurss un arī emocijas par Tomu Stopardu.  

Kad pirms nedēļas Dailes teātrī pirmizrādi piedzīvoja „Leopoldštate”, visas acis bija pievērstas starptautiski pazīstamajam režisoram Džonam Malkovičam. Mazliet ēnā palika pats lugas autors, Sers Toms Stopards, kuru mēdz dēvēt par dižāko britu dramaturgu pēc Šekspīra. Stopardam ir 86 gadi, un „Leopoldštati” viņš sarakstīja pavisam nesen. Viņš nebija klāt lugas pirmizrādē Rīgā, bet labprāt atsaucās Latvijas Radio aicinājumam sarunāties tiešsaistē. "Es tiešām priecājos par šo sarunu! Tā varu kaut nedaudz atdarīt par to, ka nevarēju klātienē ierasties uz "Leopoldštates" pirmizrādi Rīgā," ekskluzīvā intervijā Latvijas Radio saka slavenākais mūsdienu britu dramaturgs sers Toms Stopards. Mēs tiekamies video intervijā nākamajā nedēļā pēc viņa jaunākās lugas pirmizrādes Dailes teātrī Džona Malkoviča režijā. Stopards ir savās mājās Dorsetas grāfistē, apmēram 160 kilometrus uz dienvidrietumiem no Londonas. Viņa sieva Sabrina ieslēdz saziņas programmu un aicina Tomu pie datora. Stopards joprojām savas lugas raksta ar roku. Viņš aizsmēķē cigareti un sāk ar atvainošanos, ka nav bijis klāt "Leopoldštates" pirmizrādē Rīgā. “Man patīk būt citās vietās, reiz jau esmu bijis Rīgā un labprāt būtu atkal. Taču pēdējā laikā mani atbaida pats ceļošanas process. Varbūt tas mainīsies. Būtu interesanti un aizraujoši redzēt “Leopoldštati” citā valodā. Man tas tiešām patiktu! Dzirdēju, ka esot gājis labi. Džons Malkovičs man pirmizrādes dienā atsūtīja ziņu, un tad gan man likās – ak vai, man vajadzēja aizbraukt! Bet te nu mēs esam,” viņš nopūšas. “Leopoldštate” pirmizrādi piedzīvoja Londonas Vestendā 2020.gada sākumā, īsi pirms pasauli pārņēma Covid pandēmija. “Pēc šī iestudējuma es veicu vienu lielu tehnisku labojumu – atteicos no starpbrīža un saīsināju lugu tiktāl, lai to varētu nospēlēt divās stundās un desmit minūtēs bez pārtraukuma,” stāsta dramaturgs. “Man personīgi starpbrīdis ir vismazāk mīļā daļa no teātra apmeklējuma. Īpaši tad, ja pats esmu sarakstījis lugu, kas tiek spēlēta. Tu tur stāvi, un cilvēki apkārt viens otram jautā – nu, kā tev pagaidām liekas...?” Stopards grib zināt, cik cēlienu ir Dailes teātra izrādē. Uzzinājis, ka tomēr divi, viņš jautā par Rīgas iestudējuma garumu.“Trīs stundas un desmit minūtes ar starpbrīdi... Nu jā, tādā gadījumā man droši vien jāpiekrīt Džonam [Malkovičam], ka vienā cēlienā to rādīt būtu par garu.” Toms Stopards ar Džonu Malkoviču ir pazīstami jau sen, un dramaturgs par režisora izvēli iestudēt “Leopoldštati” bijis priecīgs. “Viņš ir talantīgs cilvēks ar izcilu teātra instinktu,” saka Stopards, “tā ka es to uzreiz uztvēru kā komplimentu.” Taču tā arī nekad neesot Malkovičam pajautājis, kāpēc viņš grib iestudēt šo lugu valodā, kuru pats nesaprot. Stopards labprāt grib dzirdēt par izrādes iespaidiem un pasmaida, dzirdot, ka daži skatītāji teikuši – beidzot atkal vecais labais teātris! Garāku sarunu ar un par Tomu Stopardu sestdienas Kultūras rondo, kad veltām viņa daiļradei visu raidījumu.
