Support us on Patreon for higher bitrate downloads and bonus episodes. We're back to normal from Megami Tensei month with another bit of a grab bag episode of Sunsoft soundtracks. Boin, who previously joined us for a mini-episode on Journey to Silius returns to talk about a little bit of Blaster Master, a lot of GIMMICK and a little more about City Hunter for the PC Engine. Sunsoft are almost as well regarded for their soundtracks as for their games, if not more so, so we have a good chat about the general sound for these games and especially the influence of Jazz Fusion and City Pop on the latter two soundtracks. Welcome to the History of Latin literature told in beginner-friendly, easy Latin (historia litterarum Latinarum lingua Latina simplici narrata). Listen to the episodes in order to navigate through history and learn the Latin language (the difficulty of my spoken Latin increases progressively throughout the episodes). The same episodes with Latin subtitles are available on my YouTube channel. This is a Satura Lanx production.
In this episode, we are reflecting on Journey to Silius, which was developed and published by Sunsoft and released in North America in September of 1990.Our visiting Deacon goes by the name of Tenken. The miNEStry founders, Archbishop Dracul and Father Avram, seek to inspire their 8-bit parishioners through methodical and ceremonial scrutiny of the library of games on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

It's been a year since I sat with my good friend Logi! We had a blast just like old times taking about what's new with the band. We find out Logi makes his own guitar pedals and makes his own maple syrup! We talk cigars and our preference for indie music over signed bands. As always we can't help talking guitars and equipment! The band is gaining traction and getting lots of radio play, we discussed the whole Motley Crue and Kiss saga going on. Logi plays a great game of Yes or No. Of course, we play some awesome MWS tracks. Intro music by Green Hog Band and big shout outs to David HK, Sinseer, Silius, Dirty Honey, Peg City Pickups, JHS Pedals, Bone, Ed Mahalick and Black Berry Smoke!
Just sitting and drinking with my friend Felix Forsberg. Lots of laughs and good music. We cover everything under the sun from all things Swedish, jelly, electric cars, taxes, smoking and Mexican Food! Karens everywhere. Lots of scotch drinking too. Do you have a fake Grandpa? Music by Iron Maiden, Honey Bone Rush and Silius. Intro music by Felix Forsberg!

I hang with Katie, Tim and Joe from Fatal Conceit! Drummer James couldn't make it but we had a blast talking about the band's name, preferred equipment and recording process. The boys talked about what it's like being two left handed guitar players and we asked Katie about singing more! The band played a great game of Yes or No then we discussed today's whiney music. The band tells us of "big things coming" so stay tuned in! Intro music by Silius! S/O to Trey, we needed your fun facts and fact checking comments!
This week, TW can't not talk about Xenoblade Chronicles 2 again (yes, 3 just came out, catching up takes time), but also we talk about Red-Ring Xbox 360 home repair methods, games that could have used more time in development, and saving the wrong person in Mass Effect. Also, Journey to Silius has a great history behind its development, and a great soundtrack, and that's all I'll say about it here. This episode is dedicated to some of the 8-Bit greats from one man. He's a true composer, arranger and delegator. We're returning to the NES for the first time since our flagship episode about a significantly more well known game. Journey to Silius is a game famous amongst a certain generation but it's memory has been lost to time for many. So, can this game stand up to the resurrection? Or will we have to hire a machine to go back in time and kill it before it was ever made? That's a Terminator joke. Wow! Awesome show with David HK from Ninth Revival and Grimcrow! We had a blast talking about new releases, Dave's new Oculus glasses and are joined by Meds from DemonScar, Adam Hyman and we wish Trey Saucillo from Count Your Dead good luck before he goes on stage! Intro music by Silius and shout outs to AJ Nemesis, Dennis Radigan, DJ Inkmaster and Silius!
Spike and Dennis talk about the D.R.S. Production's show featuring Rock and Metal acts from across the country. Dennis also has his own Metal band that is reforming to break out by this summer of 2022! We talk about social media, Dennis' show and The Baltimore Ravens. Shout outs to Trey from SinSeer, Peter Damleson and AJ Nemesis! We also talk about our favorite guitars and play The Yes or No Game. We play tunes by Silius and ACROMA. Intro music by Undead Asylum.
Ngoại trừ sự xuất hiện lá thư từ ngài Bá tước mà Silius đang cầm trong tay, lễ tang được tổ chức êm xuôi. Greetings, Gamers! For this episode we're joined once again by Skeletroy as we go through the NES library (plus a couple of bonus Bat-tracks) of renowned Sunsoft composer Naoki Kodaka. We have a blast[er Master] discussing one of our very favorite composers who, while he definitely gets attention, is not as widely-known as industry titans like Kondo, Uematsu, and Shimomura. Still, as this episode will show, few could rival the talents of Kodaka and his team in the realm of Very Good Music on the Famicom/NES. HAPPY NEW YEAR, REVELERS!! To celebrate the new year, Earl and Jurek play Journey to Silius on the NES! (Shhh! We're just pretending Journey to Silius is a New Year's themed game!) The game turns out to be pretty difficult, but that is nothing new with these NES games! However, the music in this game is phenomenal and might just be some of the best on the system. The guys don't make it very far in the game, but they have fun trying while also discussing their retro gaming resolutions! Come have a drink with us! Cheers! NOTE: This episode was recorded on Sunday December 27, 2020. Apologies for the lateness of this episode! It's all my (Earl's) fault! Things get tricky around the holidays! Anyway, we sincerely hope everyone had a happy new year! Thanks for listening, Revelers!

Episode #141 of BGMania. We're back with another company-focused edition of the podcast, and this time, Bryan and Frank listen to some excellent music from games published and/or developed by Sunsoft! The duo also share quite a bit of memories that they have from Sunsoft related games. Frank's audio gets "demonic", for lack of a better word, for a few brief seconds at the beginning of the show and again near the end of the show. Weird how internet lag can do that to a file sometimes! Enjoy the show!
