Being raised in the church, Donna remembers being as young as 4 and understanding the scriptures but feeling like the traditional church teachings were not getting it right. She was searching for a deeper meaning of the Bible and it wasn't until she found Unity Church when she was 17 that their message resonated with her. A huge turning point, losing her husband felt like half of herself was gone until she found Deepak Chopra's teaching. Donna felt like Deepak was speaking the language of spirit and ended up at the Chopra Center in 1995. Her life opened up and she was no longer at the mercy of her life experiences and started living a more aware life.
