Lucid dreaming is one of life's mysteries that we have slowly been unraveling over the past several decades. It wasn't until the 1980's that we had scientific evidence that it was even possible, despite people having this ability for as long as humans have been around. Now, we're able to point to lucid dreaming as a way to not only access the subconscious mind, but bring it into the conscious, and even change our waking reality. Robert Waggoner has been lucid dreaming since before there was evidence of it. In his book, Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, he writes about how lucid dreaming can be another gateway to tap into consciousness and find peace of mind. In this episode, he talks about how lucid dreaming can be used for creativity, physical and mental healing, learning ourselves more deeply, and even manifesting our deepest desires. He explains how this could be applied to the fertility journey as a way to improve our physical and mental health and do inner healing that can be reflected into our outer world. If you've ever been curious about lucid dreaming or want to try it yourself, hearing Robert's experiences and guidance in this episode is the perfect place to start. In this episode, Dr. Nichola Conlon, a molecular biologist specializing in cellular aging, joins the Conscious Fertility Podcast to explore the pivotal role of NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and mitochondrial health in fertility and overall cellular vitality. Dr. Conlon explains how declining NAD levels with age can impact mitochondrial function, leading to fatigue, inflammation, and impaired cellular repair—factors that influence reproductive health and biological aging. We discuss how chronic inflammation depletes NAD levels and why relying solely on NAD precursors like NMN and NR may not be enough. Discover a whole-systems approach to restoring the body's natural ability to produce and recycle NAD, supporting energy production, mitochondrial function, and optimal fertility outcomes.Key takeaways:NAD is essential for energy production in our cells and mitochondrial function.NAD declines with age, contributing to aging and cellular dysfunction.Chronic inflammation (e.g., elevated CD38) can exacerbate NAD depletion.NAD boosting is most effective when addressing the root causes of decline, rather than simply adding precursors.A whole-systems approach to NAD supplementation, as seen in Nuchido Time Plus, helps address both NAD production and its proper recycling.Dr. Nichola Conlon's Bio: Dr Nichola Conlon is a molecular biologist specialising in the study of cellular aging. In this fascinating episode of the Conscious Fertility Podcast, Dr. Lorne Brown is joined by Dr. Jaap van der Wal, Ph.D., a medical doctor and renowned expert in embryology and anatomy. Dr. van der Wal brings a unique perspective to the study of the human embryo, not just as a biological entity but as a spiritual being that develops through a profound process involving both body and consciousness.  Dr. van der Wal introduces us to his philosophy of "Embryosophy," where he applies the Goethean phenomenological approach to human embryology, viewing the embryo as a reflection of spiritual and physical forces working in unison. He delves into the idea that conception is not merely a biological act but a spiritual event where the body and soul unite. We also discuss the powerful symbolism of birth as a process of death and rebirth, the connection between embryology and life's larger spiritual questions, and the lessons we can learn from our own development in the womb.   Key takeaways: The human embryo represents the union of body, spirit, and consciousness. Conception involves not just biology but the connection of spirit. Birth symbolizes a "death" from the placenta, a transition to the next phase of life. Our bodies are continuously shaped by spiritual forces throughout life. Studying embryology reveals profound lessons about balance and purpose in life.   Dr. Japp Van Der Wal's Bio:  Jaap Van Der Wal, Ph.D., is a retired medical doctor and former associate professor of Anatomy and Embryology at Maastricht University. His expertise lies in functional anatomy, connective tissue, fascia, and proprioception. His passion is human embryology, viewing the body as a process developing over time. He applies Goethean phenomenology and dynamic morphology to explore the embryo's role in human existence. Since retirement, he has focused on his project "Embryo in Motion," teaching his approach, "Embryosophy," in Europe and the USA in fields like craniosacral therapy, osteopathy, and prenatal psychology.
