Controversial author, drug addict, broken marriages, and a Presidential Medal of Honor recipient. Yet at the end of his life - he found Jesus! The highlight reflects on the life and late-life spiritual transformation of a prominent media figure, highlighting the profound realization that eternal significance outweighs worldly achievements. The Fairground Park pool in St Louis Missouri was the largest pool in America when it was built in 1919. It had enough room for 10,000 swimmers. All of them white. But when integration came to Missouri, rather than allow all races to swim, the Fairground Park pool closed. This phenomenon was explored by writer Heather McGhee and on Free State today, Joe and Dion examine the drained pool politics of unionism and the Orange order in Northern Ireland. When the North Down Cricket Club cross-community sports camp sports was blocked following an online backlash it was a perfect example of how narrow mindedness hurts everyone. Hosted on Acast. Coming from a long line of farmers, Tyrean is the fifth generation of his family to farm.In this interview with host April Parms Jones, Tyrean tells us how he founded his first farm on a vacant lot, and that farm was so successful that he has continued to expand it. In the 2nd hour of the Marc Cox Morning Show, Marc & Kim discuss the controversy surrounding a vigil in St. Louis for Palestinian hostages, where Cori Bush is expected to attend. The event has drawn criticism for portraying Hamas fighters, responsible for the deadly October 7 attacks on Israel, as victims of Israeli aggression. Marc strongly condemns the vigil and Cori Bush's involvement, calling out local Jewish leaders for attending. Later, they talk about the ongoing legal battle over Missouri's minimum wage amendment, with Attorney Beavis Shock offering insights on the case's impact on job development and business closures. Marc highlights how raising the minimum wage often harms low-income workers by hindering job experience opportunities. They discuss the stakes for local teams and the St. Louis Cardinals, focusing on pitching staff concerns and standout players. Finally, in In Other News with Ethan, the Fabulous Fox Theater unveils its 2025-2026 Broadway season lineup, and the Grateful Dead drops a massive 60th-anniversary box set.
