On Saturday, Marco Silva's Fulham schooled Bournemouth in a performance which gave Cherries little room for manoeuvre. Outfought in the middle of the park and exposed on the flanks, Fulham were rigid and robust - throwing bodies on the line. Despite this, Bournemouth had 25 shots, but with the home side defending staunchly throughout, only five hit the target. It left Cherries fans leaving Craven Cottage scratching their heads at a 2024 that has started winless in the Premier League. Sam and Tigz contemplate the reasons for Boscombe's recent down-turn in form... Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. It was a game of two halves at Dean Court today as two substitutions in the interval inspired a second half fightback against Fulham which saw Marcus Tavernier and Dom Solanke net a goal each to secure a VITAL three points for Gary O'Neil's men. There was delirium in the stands as Tavs's wonder-strike lit the blue touch paper to inspire a stunning Cherries turnaround against the Cottagers, after a performance which was initially insipid and lifeless. Gary O'Neil needs to amend the negatives and draw on the positives ahead of the visit of high-flying Brighton. The Cherries face the Seagulls on Tuesday night, and with matches under the floodlights always proving special at Dean Court, it is hope that Boscombe can pick up another three points in their bid to escape the relegation mire. Chants of "sacked in the morning" could be heard from some of the away contingent on Saturday night as AFC Bournemouth succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Brentford in a performance which, whilst improved, was still far from the levels the Cherries fans expect. The contrast of Philip Billing going straight down the tunnel versus Jefferson Lerma's extended applause indicates that this is a team with a number of different objectives and ideas. Gary O'Neil defended the performance and criticised the referee in a familiar post-match routine, but despite the truth in his issues with Jarred Gillett, ultimately, the right result occurred, and as a result, Cherries balance even more precariously above the drop zone. As rumours linking Marcelo Bielsa to AFC Bournemouth gain traction, Cherries put in a performance which would make him purr as they CRUISED to a 3-0 victory over Everton at Dean Court. It was a sumptuous showing which, if it is to be Gary O'Neil's swan song, oozed class and ruthlessness. Lampard's Toffee's looked decidedly shaky for the second time in a week, and it was goals from Tavernier, Moore and Anthony that secured the three vital points for Boscombe, who now sit 13th in the league. There were scenes at full-time as Everton fans showed their frustration after a turgid performance against Gary O'Neil's AFC Bournemouth for the second time in a week. Despite a potentially controversial second goal for the Cherries, the Toffees were dominated at Dean Court, and Tigz takes in some fan opinion at full time. Later in the show, the latest in our Away Day Review Show series sees us travelling to the club which has a reputation of creating a RAUCOUS atmosphere, but is this simply a myth? Frustrated AFC Bournemouth fans react at full time after Cherries squander a two goal lead against Tottenham Hotspur, who netted three second-half goals to come away with all of the points at a dismal Dean Court. Boscombe looked favourites to romp to a famous home win before Tottenham Hotspur had other ideas, completing a remarkable turnaround for the away side. The Cherries looked offensively excellent in the first 45, and with a tremendous start to the second, we fans were hopeful of an unexpected three points, but costly errors and mental fragility caused the home side to sit back and invite the pressure - and Spurs didn't hesitate to take full advantage. At one point this season, Bournemouth were NINE points clear of the team in third, yet now, we are three points behind the team in second. It's all a bit tense, so let’s come together, breathe, and talk… so, to talk Tigers it’s Sam, Tom and Tigz. This season has been dubbed the poorest in terms of Championship quality. On paper, we should be streets ahead, in reality, we’re just one of many teams that is contributing to the lack of quality in this division. However, all is not lost, and we’ve got things in our own hands - but with 19 games to go, is it time we took an honest look in the mirror and just admitted to ourselves that there is a problem here? We’re seeing a desire for controlling games. But what is “control”? Is control “safe”? Is control playing keep-ball when you could otherwise unleash the natural potential in your squad? Is it, overplaying the ball and trying to walk it into the net? Does that approach not give a bit of impetus to the opposition? We'll chew the fat and try to end on a high, as ever! After Saturday's turgid performance at Middlesbrough, Jacob Tanswell from Dorset Live joins Tigz, Tom and Jeff to mull over the sorry showing at the Riverside as Bournemouth fell to a frustrating 1-0 defeat. There's lots to discuss, not least - a major worry about Cherries recent showings, and mutual cogitation over how Scott Parker can arrest this decline in form. The loss at Boro initially looked like a game of two halves, however when you look at the game as a whole, it was nothing but a deserved loss which arguably could have been more damaging. And why are Cherries shipping so many second half goals? Out of the 20 conceded this season, 17 of them have been in the second half! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. A resurgent Blackburn Rovers came to Dean Court full of confidence after their incredible run of games, and they continued that form thanks to a goal either side of half time. Indeed, a dispirited AFC Bournemouth failed to make inroads against a well drilled and well-organised Tony Mowbray team - and this left the Cherries just three points clear of third - ouch! Sam, Jeff, Tigz, Tom, and Neil get together to work out the hows, what’s and why’s - as, despite the 2-0 home defeat, it was the manner of the performance that was more concerning, with a lack of intensity and flair which has served us so well for large parts of the season. Fulham was always going to be a tough game wasn’t it? Form, momentum, injuries - everything seemed to dictate a home win, but despite the confidence from the home side, it was Cherries that stole a march on their rivals with a superb set-piece routine from the second half restart, but frustratingly, Tosin's late header ensured the top two shared a point. In this pod, Sam and Tigz return to dissect Friday's draw with the Cottagers in the capital - as we look through some highs and lows from that performance, as well as a look forward to the fixtures ahead... how many points do we want before Christmas? Plus, a word on Scott Parker - were the Cottagers motivated that little bit more because of his swift exit? And were they right to warn us about "Parkerball" given the fact we sat on our lead so soon after scoring? We've never seen so many fans hate on their previous manager so much, so much so we can currently hear the angry keystrokes from Putney all the way from Poole more than we could their fans on the night when we was there in person - there’s really a lot of bitterness there isn’t there? Cherries form recently hasn't been the best. With a loss at Derby, followed by a couple of frustrating draws where we've let the lead slip on both occasions, Boscombe are showing a vulnerability to their game which other teams are exploiting. Do a couple of injuries really upset the applecart that much? Apparently so! On this pod we take in some raw reaction from recent matches. Firstly, Sam Davis managed to grab some Cherries fans willing to react at full time, after watching their side capitulate in the second half against a determined Derby County side who overturned a half-time deficit to consign AFC Bournemouth to their first away defeat of the season. Later in the week, Bournemouth earned a draw at The Den on Wednesday night in a game of few chances against a Millwall side that was arguably looking the stronger as the game progressed. Despite Dom Solanke's first half opener, ex-Cherry Benik Afobe capitalised on defensive hesitancy to secure a point against the high-flyers. Tom and Sam spoke on the train on the way back... Plus, Tigz gauged the raw reaction at full time after Coventry City scored two late goals to deny ten-man AFC Bournemouth the chance to overtake Fulham at the top of the Championship... After Cherries suffered their first defeat of the season on Wednesday night against a stubborn and clinical Preston North End, all eyes were on the visit of Swansea on Saturday - with a reaction needed against a team that often provide us with a stiff test both home and away. In the weekend, the Lilywhites won 2-1, thanks to goals from Ben Whiteman and Ali McCann, which sandwiched a Philip Billing equaliser. The loss also brought Scott Parker's side's five-match winning run to an end and cut their lead at the top of the table to two points as his former club Fulham recorded an impressive 7-0 win at Blackburn. On Saturday though, Boscombe weathered an early spell of possession from the visitors to break them down with a Dom Solanke opener. But with Dom netting another, and Jaidon Anthony also popping up with a brace in the second half - Bournemouth increased the gap on third placed West Brom, who could only manage a score draw with Middlesbrough. In our last league game, Bournemouth overcame a deficit for the first time this season as Solanke and Billing netted inside three minutes to ensure that Boscombe go top of the table at a rain-soaked Dean Court against Sheffield United. Fans were nervously optimistic despite the bore-draw against Peterborough, and in the pub beforehand, 2-1 seemed to be the fashionable scoreline. True to form, Bournemouth delivered - and whilst Solanke's penalty levelled things up, Billings effort effectively killed the game. When Phil Bill scores, Cherries do not lose! To many people, the world of burlesque may seem distant, mysterious and unknown. You might have heard of https://www.instagram.com/ditavonteese/?hl=en (Dita von Teese), but how much do you know about the art of it, the glamour, and the people, who are, by all accounts, a brilliant bunch of welcoming human beings? My guest today is https://www.tigzrice.com (Tigz Rice), who combines her career as a burlesque and boudoir photographer with an ambition to leave her mark on the world creatively. She has shot for Cosmopolitan, and produced work that the HuffPost described as the 'most diverse lingerie shoot of its time'. But like many of my guests, she didn't expect to end up where she is. Tigz harboured a strong desire to be a forensic pathologist, and it was circumstances that led her to art college, then into photography. She's an amazing advocate for people celebrating their bodies, taking pride and joy in what society may view as physical flaws, but often actually are a sign of strength and resilience. She is storyteller of the highest order, and I hope you enjoy this conversation about her life and career. On this show, Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Mr Tigz and Neil Dawson dissect the game with vigour and determination - well, someone had to put in a shift this weekend. Last week after Wycombe, Woodgate was almost flippant in his post-match interview. Are the Derren Brown-esque mind games starting already? In this pod we analyse the Stoke game, find out what went wrong and what needs switching, plus we question the heart and desire that seems to dissipate throughout the side when certain key players are not at the races. And what of Brentford? What will they be thinking after being confident of facing Barnsley or Swansea in the semis? As Catherine Tate once said: "Am I Bovvered?", and reading between the lines, that was the message that was gleaned from most of the post-match Cherry soundbytes - so despite our 1-0 loss at Wycombe on Saturday, the feeling of concern from the fans perhaps isn't quite empathised by the staff of AFC Bournemouth! It was a turgid showing - a much-changed side, which gave the Chairboys the impetus to put in an excellent performance, full of grit and desire, twinned with an early wonder-strike which would grace any Goal of the Month competition. The concern for Bournemouth fans is "loss of momentum" and the perceived lack of squad depth. Not many of the stand-ins particularly put in shifts which could give Woodgate a selection headache, with Roro potentially being one of the exceptions - so how are we feeling ahead of the end-of-season lottery? Cherries posted a £60m+ loss for the last financial year in some jaw-dropping figures that were released this morning. AFC Bournemouth also posted confirmation that its owner is in to the club to the tune of £160m - a concerning backdrop off the pitch to what has been a fruitless season on it. The cost of Covid has hit hard, but whilst the numbers are fairly similar to other Premier League clubs accounts last season, fans will have a number of questions about the investment going forward, the extremely high percentage of wages vs turnover, and the growing debt that our club seems to accrue… so we've tried to gauge the reaction on Twitter this morning and discuss what we've learned - with Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, and Neil Dawson. AFC Bournemouth's style in the first half against Barnsley was questionably regarded as being "champagne football" after a spell where we managed to put a few passes together which culminated in a shot - indeed, the brief moments of joy that Cherries displayed in the first 45 against Valérien Ismaël's men seemed to inflate a biased opinion which left Barnsley fans watching on iFollow both bothered and baffled. Plus, we give a taster of our fully interview with Marc Pugh - who provides an expert insight on what it's like to be involved in the Play-Offs! Pughie twice managed to avoid them with automatic promotion, but also he was someone who has experienced the heartbreak of losing in them too! Cherries dropped two points at Deepdale on Saturday against an unpredictable Preston North End side in a match which was the archetypal game of two halves. It was a familiar tale of missed chances followed by punishment for our defensive mistakes. The single point leaves Bournemouth 7th in league, outside the play-offs, sitting behind Barnsley, a team who have got one game in hand on us - it's not looking good, but there's time left. In this podcast, Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan and Mr Tigz take you through proceedings from Saturday, whilst casting a keen eye forward towards our next clashes which see us entertain Barnsley and Swansea - two HUGE games for us! We also have a ten minute taster of a Youtube exclusive with an ex-Cherries midfielder maestro - a pivotal signing in our first Great Escape season - and a player whose darting runs and crucial goals were instrumental in our survival. Of course, it's the one and only Stephen Robinson! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. Cherries were in free-fall, without a solid performance in a number of games, so a 1-0 win against high-flying Watford ensured that Boscombe fans actually have some hope for the remainder of the season. Whilst Danjuma provided the difference, big Jeff stole the show with a display of gamesmanship that represented that league we've just been relegated from. A solitary Arnaut goal was the difference at Dean Court, in a sun-drenched affair which saw temperatures rise on and off the pitch - with something akin to a Royal Rumble in the closing minutes, which included a couple of sendings off too. It's never dull is it... Today's show provided an extended dissection of yesterday's 1-0 victory against Watford with Mr Tigz, Jeff Hayward, Neil Dawson and Tom Jordan. Bournemouth made hard work of the beautiful game against yet another team in the bottom half of the table on Saturday as Luton Town emerged 1-0 winners at Dean Court in a deserved victory where Cherries simply did not do enough. Despite sporadic moments of near-joy, Cherries look disjointed and asunder - a far cry from the Championship winning side of 6/7 years ago. If we're thinking promotion, we might need to think again. It wasn't just Bmth that weren't at the races, the ref wasn't either. A diabolical performance from the man in the middle. He drove down from the North East to officiate today - yet more pointless travel over a long distance during Covid, and... just like Dominic Cummings, maybe he needed an eye test too - as he sent off Lerma with one of the worst reds we have seen. Despite that, Cherres kept on trying to walk it into the box, and Luton were clinical when they needed to be. In this podcast, Sam Davis is joined by Jeff Hayward, Mr Tigz and  Tom Jordan to dissect the game, plus we hear a snippet of an extended interview which is on Youtube, and will be arriving on your podcast app next week! Start spreading the news... we won't always win every game we play, but at the New York Stadium on Saturday, you can't help but feel as though we were the architects of our own demise! Rotherham were strong, physical, and got in our faces early doors - an obvious tactic which is often used to negate footballing sides. Niggles aside though - the home side gave us a lesson in quality wide delivery, and a 2-2 draw probably was a fair result. In this podcast, Sam Davis, Tom Jordan, Mr Tigz and Neil Dawson discuss events in South Yorkshire, plus we look forward to the visit of Preston on Tuesday, the start of a month which sees eight fixtures - and a period of time which could ultimately determine our fate this season. We also catch up with the latest activity with the Cherries Academy in Uganda, who finally have some kits that have been sent across. On Sunday, Cherries travelled to Bramall Lane in another must win encounter but sadly emerged losing 2-1 after Sheffield United gave us a lesson in doggedness and determination. Conditions were awful throughout the country, and to many people's surprise - the game still went ahead. However, whilst the weather settled, the AFC Bournemouth side didn't, and, despite a good early start, the Blades deservedly came away as victors. In this podcast Sam is joined by Tony AKA Mr Tigz, as we dissect the 2-1 loss, trying to work out what went right and what went wrong. Although there were some early positives, the home side managed to stay disciplined and eventually took over proceedings - scoring a second, sending them even higher up the Premier League table. On this podcast we also chat to Louise Clarke from Proud Cherries. After the Phillip Schofield "revelation" on Friday, many people have been exclaiming that in this day and age, no one should need to come out and make a big deal of it anymore, however, we chat to the figurehead of the Cherries LGBT+ group and find out why it is still important and necessary for it to be done. Plus, Tigz and Sam return to preview the next Bournemouth encounter - at Eddie's former side Burnley - in another Northern clash which sees the Cherries needing three points more than ever before!

Plus, we cannot NOT mention the last football match that AFC Bournemouth turned up to, or more to the point - didn't turn up to. Sam Davis is joined by Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan and Mr Tigz to analyse the game, and to talk about our likely potential semi-final clash against Swansea. The fun, and nervousness, starts here! Fantastic to see them all sporting their AFCB gear, but.. there is more that we still want to do! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. AFC Bournemouth limped over the finish line against Stoke City in a display which has single-handedly managed to erode any optimism ahead of a Play-Off Semi-Final against an in-form Brentford. On this show, Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Mr Tigz and Neil Dawson dissect the game with vigour and determination - well, *someone* had to put in a shift this weekend. Last week after Wycombe, Woodgate was almost flippant in his post-match interview. This week, he says: "we'll give it our best shot" - a far cry from the buoyant figure that stood before us during our seven game unbeaten spell. Bournemouth are underdogs, but will that work in our favour, and do they think that? And how heavy will their notorious "bottling" be playing on their minds? After the Phillip Schofield "revelation" on Friday, many people have been exclaiming that in this day and age, no one should *need* to come out and make a big deal of it anymore, however, we chat to the figurehead of the Cherries LGBT+ group and find out why it is still important and necessary for it to be done. Plus, Tigz and Sam return to preview the next Bournemouth encounter - at Eddie's former side Burnley - in another Northern clash which sees the Cherries needing three points more than ever before!

After Bournemouth's magnificent seven wins in a row, Brentford were the visitors to Dean Court on Saturday, and whilst Cherries were After Eight, it was the 10-man away side that were mint - with a display of resilience that will be morale boosting and confidence inspiring. For Cherries, it enables us to reset - the equivalent of turning it off and turning it on again - so maybe this loss might just be what is needed to enable everyone to refocus? We know now the Play-Off contenders... Boscombe are joined by Swansea, Barnsley and Brentford in the play-off lottery - one which that culminates with a Wembley jamboree on May 29th, so in this pod.... Sam, Tom, Neil and Tigz get together to discuss the runners and riders, as well as the home humbling at the hands of the Bees - will Thomas Frank's charges now consider themselves the favourites for promotion to the Premier League - do they now have the psychological edge? We go through and discuss our thoughts on the play-offs, analyse the opposition, plus we play out the results of this season's campaign, giving you an EXCLUSIVE on who Cherries will face in the semi-finals!
