A trackball is a pointing device consisting of a ball held by a socket containing sensors to detect a rotation of the ball about two axes—like an upside-down ball mouse with an exposed protruding ball. And guess what? We used to play a bunch of arcade games with them! Missile Command, Centipede, Marble Madness, and MORE!

I talk about my top 5 games played with a trackball. The trackball was almost never seen at home but we loved playing games with it in the arcasde. Hai presente, no? — Fonti: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trackball Attrezzatura utilizzata: Shure Microfono Podcast USB MV7 - https://amzn.to/3862ZRf Neewer NW-5 Pannello fonoassorbente - https://amzn.to/3rysTFP Sostieni il progetto Sostieni tramite Satispay Sostieni tramite Revolut Sostieni tramite PayPal Sostieni utilizzando i link affiliati di Pensieri in codice: Amazon, Todoist, ProtonMail, ProtonVPN, Satispay Partner GrUSP (Codice sconto per tutti gli eventi: community_PIC) Schrödinger Hat Crediti Sound design - Alex Raccuglia Voce intro - Maria Chiara Virgili Voce intro - Spad Musiche - Kubbi - Up In My Jam, Light-foot - Moldy Lotion, Creativity, Old time memories Suoni - Zapsplat.com Cover e trascrizione - Francesco Zubani

The trackball is a piece of arcade hardware that is evocative of its time, and in particular a quartet of legendary games from Atari: Missile Command, Centipede, Millipede and Crystal Castles. James has so much fondness for these games, that Krissi indulged him by letting him devote an entire episode to them. Okay, she didn't need much convincing, as you'll no doubt hear when you join us on this monumental 25th episode of GSI! An occasion so minor we forgot to mention it ourselves. Oops.

The Apple III - Part 1 Hello, everyone, and welcome to Episode 87 of the Floppy Days Podcast for November, 2018. In the timeline, we continue to cover machines that were released in the year 1980. The topic of this show is a machine that while it came from a very well-known computer company, was never popular enough to make a large splash in the computer market. Nevertheless, it was an important piece in the history of personal computers and I’m happy to bring it to you this month. Of course, the machine that we’re talking about, as you already know from the excellent memories intro by Mike Maginnis, is the Apple II’s more powerful brother, the Apple III. I’m very happy to have one of the well-known members of the Apple III community today, and co-host of the Apple III podcast “Drop III Inches” as well as a cohost of the RetroComputing Roundtable Podcast, Mr. Paul Hagstrom, assist me with this month’s topic. Was ist besser?
