Minimalism is out for 2025, and exuberance is in, according to top interior designers. People looking to improve their homes and gardens are increasingly wanting something "posher" and more high-tech according to style gurus at the Ideal Home Show in London. The Ideal Home Show is the UK's largest interior design show and has been setting trends since 1908. Each year, interior designers curate the Ideal Home at the show, packing this show home with the latest trends and technology to inspire visitors. The home features typical rooms found in every home—including a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom—all packed with design flourishes. And for 2025, minimalism is dead, and interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, known for his love of color and pattern, could not be happier. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen says, "It's this extraordinary moment where it feels like the whole planet is crawling out from underneath the gray rock under which it has been imprisoned for the last five or six years. Suddenly, it's all about color. Suddenly, it's all about pattern." Wallpapers and bedsheets are patterned with splashes of color, and design touches like the underlit marble kitchen island create an air of opulence. Llewelyn-Bowen thinks it is a reaction to the cost-of-living crisis but also because people have been inspired by the box sets they have been bingeing on. He mentions popular TV series like The Gentlemen or Jilly Cooper's Rivals as the major inspirations for home decor. "It's like people want something much more glamorous. Dare I say they want something that feels a little bit posh. They love the big scale wallpapers, they love the drinks tray," he says. So, is the era of less-is-more over? Of course, some people will still embrace minimalism in the home. "Obviously, there will be people out there that are into Scandi-Japanese minimalism," he says. After the great city of Paris, we headed to Zurich, Switzerland. We got there by train, and it was really nice. The views were awesome, so don't sleep too much! The main train station is called Zurich HB (Haupt Banhof), which has so manyyyy different restaurants and different foods. AWESOME.   Trains: Paris and London had good trains, but Switzerland was incomparable. They had an app (SBB) just for the trains and trams that's very useful. Most reliable train network in world, and has over 9000 trains a day Chocolate: Be sure to visit the Lindt Chocolate Museum, in Kilchberg  where they explain the making of the chocolate. Plus free samples!                                      Swiss chocolate is on another level!! That same day, we also hung out near Lake Zurich enjoying the vibes, and of course, eating ice cream. My brother did a semester abroad at ETH, so we took another funicular up to his campus and took in the swiss views. Also, Albert Einstien did his PHd at ETH, so his locker is available for viewing and it is really cool!! Lucerne: We also took a day trip to Lucerne from Zurich. It is known for its medieval architecture and sits on Lake Lucerne surrounded by mountains. Truly beautiful! It is famous for its chapel bridge and is considered Europes oldest covered bridge. Rhine Falls: Another fun day trip we did was the Rhine falls. It is considered to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe. We rode a boat that took us closer to the falls and across the river. It is about 15,000 years old and was created during the tectonic switch during the ice age. Nice, quick, day trip. It is about 45 minutes to an hour away from Zurich.  Interlaken: Home to the best views. Interlaken means, between two lakes. Lake Brienze and Thun. You can always stay in Interlaken, but we stayed in a small suburb 30 minutes away by bus called Beatenburg. You see the main three peaks, Eiger, Monch, and Jungfau. The best views in the world! Lauterbrunnen: It is about 20 min from Interlaken. Lauterbrunnen offers really nice views of the Alps and roaring falls.  The Trummelbach falls is a series of 10 glacier waterfalls inside Mount Ieger. You can hike the falls or take a cable car. Really pretty and very rough waterfalls.  We also visited Staubach falls!! That same day, we had a classic Swiss dish. FONDUE! It is melted cheese in a pot in which you dip small pieces of bread or meat.  BTW, the cows are very loud. Next day, JUNGFRAU. It is a must see, and is called the Top of Europe. It is the highest accessible point in Europe. You take cable car and trains to get there. It will be cold up there, so dress warm. It is 4158 meteres (13642 ft) high.  We went into the Sphinx Observation deck, which has amazing views. WE saw the Aletsch glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. It can be a little tiring - esp. at that altitude so stay hydrated and eat well.  Can you believe that they have an Indian restaurant up in the mountains? True story! The next day, we walked from around the lakes of Interlaken, and found ourselves at Lake Brienze. You cannot miss this heaven, it was not crowded and just so peaceful. We took a ferry to get back into Interlaken.  Glacier Express: A slow 8-hour train ride across Switzerland. With panoramic views, and takes you through the mountains! Have you visited Switzerland? Today we sit dow with Chris McCartney, Producer of the upcoming documentary The Jesus Revolution V.2. Originally from Texas, Chris came to So.Cal in 1988. He has been a producer, director and editor since 1990. He got his start as a producer with Prime Sports/ESPN. Beginning in 1992 CAM Productions was opened in Santa Monica. The facility expanded to locations in Culver City, Burbank and Santa Clarita. The studios edited and produce Films, Animation, Special Effects, Composting, and Graphics. In 1996, Chris was hired by Sony Columbia Studios to be one of the first HD Producers. He worked both here in LA and Japan. With his other company, NMMBSM, Inc. CAM Productions became one of the largest facilities for Ringtones, Wallpapers and content for the Mobile Carriers Worldwide.

On a day where the sun is bathed in smoke, The Pod Couple goes on a day trip filled with adventure.  They start off at Spider Lake Provincial Park where PodGal gets buzzed as her beloved dragon flies check her out, she makes a wish and a splash and off they head down a pure, uncut gravel road (complete with washboarding) to Horne Lake Provincial Park.  They then head towards home and stop in at the Coombs Country Market where they experience goats and balls on the roof, the perfect fit for PodGuy, voodoo dools and wind up toys. Crazy from the heat and in an attempt to escape it, the Pod Couple transforms their garage into a studio.  As The Pod Couple and Dougems get comfortable with their new surroundings, they take you for a bit of a tour.  And during that tour, you're going to learn a whole lot:  so many hammers, yet so few nails antique signs, phones (complete with a writing desk) a souped up apocalypse ready shopping cart    PodGal then talks about a recent distracted driving incident that involves two fisting ice cream cones.
