Obwohl Licht diesen Rhythmus beinflussen kann, stellt dies einen inneren (endogenen) Prozess dar, der auch in unseren Genen festgelegt ist. In der heutigen Folge spreche ich mit Jan-Frieder Harmsen über das spannende Thema "Chronotypen und -biologie". Dabei gehen wir den Fragen nach: - Was ist Chronobiologie? - Wann ist ein Rhythmus "circadian"? - Wie beeinflussen Licht und Essen unseren Rhythmus? - Was hat es mit Chronotypen auf sich? Frank ist 59 Jahre alt, Vater, und vierfacher Grossvater. Hauptberuflich ist er Fachjournalist im Bereich Mind-Body-Medizin. Nebenberuflich ist er Meditationslehrer bei Mindfulife. Sein Interesse für Meditation entstand aber bereits in jungen Jahren. Nach dem Abitur begann Frank ein Studium in evangelischer Theologie und besuchte nebenbei Yoga- und Zenkurse. Darauf folgten verschiedene Exkurse, unteranderem in die christliche Kontemplation. Die Meditation hat Frank einen tiefen Grundton an Glück und Freude in seinem Leben gegeben. Ausserdem hat ihm das Meditieren geholfen, seine Krebserkrankung im Jahre 2001 zu überstehen. Deshalb suchte Frank nach einer Möglichkeit, seine positiven Erfahrungen mit der Meditation weitergeben zu können. Und diese hat er durch die MeditationslehrerInnen Ausbildung bei Mindfulife gefunden. In dieser Folge erzählt Frank wie er auf Mindfulife gekommen ist und welche Erfahrungen er während sowie nach der Ausbildung gemacht hat.
