On this installment of The PAPER STREET Podcast, hosts Becky and Shawn discuss AMC and Regal Theaters threatening to never again screen Universal's movies. This comes after NBC/Universal announced their intentions to do day-and-date releases of their future films. They speculate on the possible ramifications it might have on independent films and how the theatrical window, which was already closing, might be closing a lot faster now. STILL/BORN director Brandon Christensen joins the show to talk about his latest feature Z (now streaming on SHUDDER!), crafting good scares, and becoming a well-rounded filmmaker (he's a writer, producer, editor, and visual effects artist as well). The hosts also play a round of Rapid Fire 15 with Brandon, fawn over Arnold Snorts-enegger's '90s movie output, plus Becky's Deep Cut Slasher of the Week, and more! When and if Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel disappear, this episode will be the reason now. The guys talk about things conspiracies and the movies. Talking about some movies may seem innocent enough, but when the conversation turns to the government, religion, and Bigfoot, things get weird.Weeks after saying they were done talking Star Wars, the show opens with the latest Star Wars news. And if you are gonna talk a once proud franchise, how can you ignore Scoob!Premiering Mother's Day on Shudder, Z is a creepy kid horror movie that tweaks the formula.
