Esta semana tenemos bastante contenido de campo, con las pruebas de la KTM 390 Enduro R y la Rieju Adventura Rally 307. Por ello, hemos invitado a Vicente Vius, nuestro piloto probador especialista en off-road. Ha coincidido que probamos, casi al mismo tiempo, dos trail camperas de 300/400 cc. La austriaca KTM y la española Rieju, aunque la primera se fabrica en India, y la segunda en China, cosas de la globalización… Cambiando completamente de temas, hemos repasado las motos que esperábamos con muchas ganas pero que, por desgracia, no vimos en el Salón de Milán. Modelos soñados como: la Honda GB500, la BMW M 1300 GS, la Kawasaki tricilíndrica sobrealimentada, o la Yamaha Ténéré 900. El freno trasero: técnica, dudas y debate real A raíz del vídeo que inspiró este episodio, el equipo entra en profundidad en la técnica de usar el freno trasero en carretera. Hablamos de: por qué muchos motoristas no lo usan o lo usan mal el freno trasero como estabilizador de geometría cómo evitar tirones, rebotes y descompensaciones en curvas o bajadas la técnica avanzada de freno + gas solapados cuándo es útil y cuándo puede ser contraproducente diferencias entre carretera, circuito, trail y uso con pasajero limitaciones de suspensiones, dimensiones del freno y calentamientos casos reales del equipo (RT, Guzzi, Hornet, Tenere, trail, etc.) Una conversación extensa que va más allá del vídeo original y donde Álvaro aclara malentendidos habituales, matiza su mensaje y explica por qué su vídeo no habla de frenadas de emergencia, sino de conducción fluida. ⚠️ Los 10 errores en carretera (comentados uno a uno) Repasamos juntos el decálogo del vídeo de Álvaro: Frenar mal (especialmente usar solo el delantero). Exceso de confianza a los pocos meses. Mirar demasiado cerca. Ir tenso (bruxismo motero). Obsesión con el contramanillar y olvidar el cuerpo. Mala posición del cuerpo y los pies. No calentarse uno mismo ni la moto. Cortar carriles. Seguir a quien va más rápido. No revisar presiones (incluso con ejemplos de altitud, temperatura y carga). Begin november is er slechts één vraag die er in de motorwereld echt toe doet: wat hebben de motormerken op de Eicma in Milaan voor moois getoond waar we volgend jaar mee de weg op kunnen? Stefaan en Bart (in Milaan intussen ook bekend als Patrick Snijers en Danny Colebunders of The Kings of the Rental Panda) buigen zich in de eerste plaats over de ‘incontournables', de nieuwigheden waar we absoluut niet omheen kunnen.   Zoals de Honda CB1000GT, de magistrale V4 SR-RR van CFMOTO, de veelbelovende KLE500 van Kawasaki en de BMW F 450 GS. Uiteraard komt ook Ducati aan bod, de Bolognezen spelen in Milaan een bijna-thuismatch en aangezien ze in 2026 hun honderdste verjaardag vieren moesten de Ducatisti wel serieus uit hun pijp komen. En dat deden ze met de nieuwe Monster, de nieuwe Hypermotard en de DesertX die we in het voorjaar van 2026 mogen verwachten.   Los daarvan de vaststelling dat sommige merken er helemaal niet waren (de hele KTM-groep, Brixton) en andere merken het wel heel low profile aanpakten (Triumph). Maar met als belangrijkste vaststelling dat er vanuit China een gigantische kudde zwijnen onderweg is waarin wie moeite doet echter hier en daar een parel aantreft. La semana pasada ya hablamos de las novedades más importantes del EICMA 2025 pero, así todo, se nos quedaron cosas en el tintero. Por ejemplo, dos marcas que reclaman cada vez más atención. La china CFMoto que mostró la trail 1000MT-X y la brutal deportiva SR-RR V4. Además de la británica Norton, uno de los nombres icónicos de la historia del motociclismo, ahora bajo influencia india. En el Salón de Milán Nortón mostró una deportiva V4 de 206 CV y una trail bicilíndrica, entre otras novedades. Mariano probó la Suzuki GSX-8TT, una moto retro con una imagen de los años 70 y tecnología de 2025. En el podcast conversamos sobre la neoclásica de Suzuki, derivada de la plataforma de 800 cc que emplean también los modelos de carretera GSX-8S y 8R, además de la trail V-Strom 800. Las frías cifras a menudo muestran más que mil palabras, por ello siempre damos mucha importancia a los datos de matriculaciones. En el mes de octubre continuamos con las buenas noticias. El acumulado del año ya supera un aumento del 10 por ciento con respecto a 2024. Desde enero se han contabilizado hasta finales de octubre 225 000 unidades y 26 575 matriculaciones en el mes de octubre. Por su parte, Zontes y Voge se consolidan en la tercera y cuarta plaza. Verge Motorcycles are the newest electric motorcycle brand bringing true innovation to the market. They've got a hubless rear wheel motor with 737 ft lbs of torque, and a range of up to 217 miles that will recharge up to 80% in less than 35 minutes. Is the perfect electric bike finally here? Llega la quinta generación de la Ducati Monster, la naked por excelencia. El modelo monta el nuevo V2 de 890 cc sin desmo con distribución variable, que entrega 111 CV. El peso en seco es de 175 kg. La marca anuncia que el reglaje de válvulas será cada 45 000 km. Monta un completo paquete electrónico con IMU. En Alemania costará 12 890 euros y estará disponible en Europa a partir de febrero de 2026. Regresan unas siglas famosas, la KLE500 de Kawasaki. El modelo emplea el conocido bicilíndrico en línea de la marca de 451 cc que entrega unos 44 CV a 9000 rpm. El depósito de 16 litros deberá dar una autonomía próxima a los 400 km. El chasis es multitubular y las suspensiones KYB, con sistema Uni-Track en el amortiguador trasero. En el mercado alemán, tanto la KLE500, como la KLE500 SE, llegarán a las tiendas en marzo de 2026, a un precio estimado que rondará los 7000 euros. Honda sigue exprimiendo la Hornet 1000, a partir de esta base presentará la CB1000 GT, una crossover basada en el modelo naked que, como sabes, entrega 150 CV y pesa 220 kg en orden de marcha. Llegará a las tiendas en 2026 y deberá ser presentada en sociedad en el ECIMA 2025 (Salón de Milán). Začíná nám období novinek. Ještě než ale definitivně propukne šílenství před veletrhem EICMA (a šílenství během něj, a šílenství po něm), máme tu pár zajímavostí, které se objevily v uplynulých dnech, a které mají potenciál zahýbat stávajícím trhem.

Terwijl de Allroad Special op weg was naar de drukker, schoof Robin Talboom aan voor de Podcast. Heeft Harley-Davidson de zwaar teruggelopen verkoop (-20%) enkel aan Donald Trump te danken of is het een gevalletje van ‘eigen schuld, dikke bult'? Nemen de Chinese merken de markt stormenderhand in of zijn ze vooral mekaar vliegen aan het afvangen? Waarom verkoopt Yamaha de Tracer 7 niet op de thuismarkt?   Aangezien KTM de eerste helft van 2025 op hangen en wurgen doorspartelde, verdiepte Bart zich in de situatie van het Oostenrijkse merk en hoe de toekomst van KTM er onder Bajaj-bewind kan uitzien. Hoopgevend is sowieso dat KTM-CEO Gottfried Neumeister beloofd heeft dat alle nieuwe modellen die KTM op de Eicma van 2024 presenteerde er ook daadwerkelijk zullen komen.   Tom en Stefaan maken de balans op van de eerste seizoenshelft van de MotoGP waarna de drie redactieleden hun teenslippers terug aantrekken, hun zonnehoed wat dieper over de bol trekken en nog eens aan hun zomerse cocktail nippen. Begin mei is de lente nu echt wel in het land want terwijl Stefaan en Bart Amaryllis Maisse en Nicolas De Ryck van CFMoto-importeur BW-Import op de rooster leggen, worden ze om de haverklap in de rede gevallen door een stel zwaluwen die zich net onder het dak van de redactie hebben genesteld. En alsof dat qua lentegevoel nog niet volstaat, blijkt de naam CFMoto afgeleid te zijn van het Chinese woord voor ‘lentewind'.   CFMoto gaat het sowieso voor de wind, want nadat het merk stormenderhand de quadmarkt veroverde is het stellig van plan om dat kunstje nog eens over te doen in de motorbranche. Eicma is the motorcycling industry's biggest trade show, where manufacturers like to look good by showing off their biggest and best concepts and new bikes for the new year.

Si festeggiano i 110 anni e sarà un grande evento: dieci padiglioni, 770 espositori. Sono tornati tutti i grandi marchi, anche quelli che si erano messi in testa di poter fare a meno del contatto diretto con gli appassionati. E poi nuove gare con i piloti delle leggenda...

Die Hard Alpi Tour (HAT) ist eine verrückte wie reizvolle Veranstaltung: Nach dem Start in San Remo geht's auf kleinen Alpenstraßen, Schotterpisten und Single Tracks nach Sestriere, auf gut 2000 Meter Höhe. Geschlafen wird unterwegs, und gefahren wird meist bis tief in die Nacht. Eine Herausforderung an sich, egal, in welcher Kategorie man antritt. Service-Ressortleiter Robert Glück war schon 2023 dabei, im Sattel einer 40 Jahre alten Yamaha Ténéré XT 600. Zusammen mit Mitstreiter Jens Kuck entsteht die Idee, es nächstes Jahr doch mal mit einer Honda Monkey zu versuchen – eine sympathische 125er im XS-Format und eines der am wenigsten geeigneten Bikes für so eine Unternehmung. Im Gespräch mit MOTORRAD Reiseredakteur Ferdinand Heinrich-Steige berichtet Robert von den Modifikationen, von ungläubigen Blicken und von der schieren Gaudi, die die erfahrenen Enduristen mit der kleinen Honda haben. Jenseits davon bietet die unglaublich niedrige und leichte Monkey jedoch auch einen neuen Blickwinkel auf das ewige Thema, was ein ideales reise- und offroadtaugliches Motorrad ausmacht. Als Katharina Kipp und Lisa Berg (beide 36) sich im Sommer 2024 wieder bei uns in der Redaktion melden, wird schnell klar, dass sie wieder einiges zu erzählen haben.
