I'm chatting with US based artist Denise Gasser. I first discovered Denise via her ‘Art After' project which is all about reconciling art and motherhood in the most unique and inspiring way. I then progressed to going down a rabbit hole of watching Denise's IGTV's and just knew that I HAD to have this inspiring woman on the podcast. In this conversation Denise and I chat about Instagram and why it's so important that we take charge of this very powerful marketing medium as artists and make it a place that supports us rather than shuts us down. We dive deep into Denise's journey of creating artwork for her ‘Art After' project and how she worked her way through successive rejections from galleries to have her work exhibited, to finally mount her own hugely successful show. We talk a lot about how to negotiate being and artist with being a Mum, embracing ordinariness and also negotiating neurodiversity. This conversation with Denise was so inspiring to have and truly left me feeling like I had connected with a kindred sprit. Some of the key moments include; Making Instagram a positive, healthy environment for ourselves. How she created an exhibition of work embracing the craziness of the season of raising small kids. How after experiencing rejection after rejection she mustered the determination to host her own exhibition on her terms. I really hope you enjoy this grounding and uplifting conversation with Denise Gasser. The Age of Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In (Also known as The Flesh Failures) Music by Galt MacDermot; lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado From Peter Lawford to Georgio Moroder, just about every singer had taken this anthem of flower power and tried to make it their own. From the Tony-nominated Broadway musical "Hair", you couldn't swing a love bead without bumping into a version of this song when it came out. It summed up the era succinctly, simply, and inoffensively. If you're of a certain age, it will send chills down your spine as you recall a very brief time where The Man was on his heels for once. It made #1 for The 5th Dimension and has been covered over 70 times, which isn't much compared to Yesterday or Summertime, but you have to understand that all those versions were grouped into two years, basically.    Bert Tenzer (with Kings Road) (1969) VERY bad voice-overs of actors pretending to belong to that generation. Old voice-over pros either paying tribute or making fun. We shall never know.  Andy Williams/The Osmonds (1969) Andy Williams was old showbiz but I love the fact that he tried everything. Including Claudine Longet. I really love Andy Williams. He was daring and cool.  Diana Ross and the Supremes (1969) Englebert Humperdinck (1969) Donna Gaines, AKA Donna Summer/Original German Cast of “Hair” - Wassermann (Aquarius) (1968) Johnny Mathis (1969) You hear him most during the holiday season. Then he goes away! Melba Moore (1970) My second-favorite version. God damn, she sings it. One of the few versions here that tried to reinvent and recontextualize.  Peter Lawford (1969) Yes, the designated driver in the Rat Pack.  Raphael (Live) (1980) Ray Conniff And The Singers (1969) The Ventures (Instrumental) (1969) Tony Martin (1969) My favorite version. Discogs: Tony Martin (Alvin Morris) had enjoyed a long and illustrious career as a star of stage, screen, and shellac (his first national hits for Decca came before the Second World War!), scoring international Top Ten singles in the Forties and Fifties along the lines of his rendition of Stranger in Paradise, overshadowed in the wake of Tony Bennett's competing version. But by the time Tony pitched up at Motown, he had had no hits for eight years, and his film career had long since hit the skids. Ethel y Los Drakers - Siempre Brilla El Sol (Spanish) (1971) Jennifer (Warnes) (1969) Yes, the same gal that sang "Right Time of the Night" and "I Had the Time of My Life" with Bill Medley. If you look close, she's singing backing vocals during the Roy Orbison "Black and White" concert.  Galt MacDermot (1968) Julien Clerc (French) (1969) Light My Fire  The Doors  Again, a ubiquitous cover song which appeared in every singer's set-list at that time. Provocative enough for the young, melodic and simple enough for the more seasoned entertainer. One more thing: The Doors were an amazing band when it came to producing singles. Their albums are sometimes embarrassingly naive and treacly, sort of like The Moody Blues or Three Dog Night. But those singles, whew boy, they were good.  Stevie Wonder (1969) This is a great version. Listen to the king of soul bassists, James Jamerson, eviscerate all that came before him.  The Free Design (1971) This album is in my hall of fame for GREAT albums I could listen to over and over and find new things. Albums I discovered since I started this old show. Everything, from the production to the harmonies to the amazing upside-down covers. I am trying to get my hands on Chris Dedrick's solo record "Be Free". Soon. Maybe my birthday? Come on, now. Anyhow, this I put up there with Syreeta's records with Stevie, The United States of America, The Seeds of Love, all of them. The peak of the concept, along with There Is A Song (1972). And no one bought them!! If you like Sunshine Pop, this is the stuff. Better than The Mamas and the Papas. To my ears, by far. Listen to how low the Dedrick sisters are asked to sing. I love women in the lower register. I am a huge fan of all the Dedricks.  And that's Billy Cobham on drums!  Bob Thiele and his New Happy Times Orchestra with Gabor Szabo (1967) Clarence Carter (w/Duane Allman) (1967) Rhetta Hughes (1968) Shirley Bassey (1970) Also extremely very good. She is perhaps best known for having done the vocals on the theme tunes to three films in the popular British espionage film franchise James Bond. Woody Herman Orchestra (1969) Another cool version, this one by the Woody Herman Orchestra. Herman had been recording since the Big Band era. Fans of Frank Zappa will recognize the name Sal Marquez, who played trumpet solo #1.  Amii Stewart (1979) Chet Atkins (1968) Even though he made his bones as a session player/producer, Chet was surprisingly open to doing modern songs by pop artists, to his credit. Like my friend Andy Williams.  Minnie Ripperton/Jose Feliciano (1979) Os Baobas (AKA The Bubbles) (1968) The Soul Merchants (1968) The Lettermen (1968) This album made it to #43 on Billboard.  The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band (1969) Al Green (1971)

They released a wonderful song on MP3.com called “The Hat Came Back”. It was such a fun song, when I got to the faire, I knew one person I HAD to have on this podcast. He told me how his band and this song came to be. 10:31 - STORY FROM GIACOMO THE JESTER 11:55 - “The Hat Came Back” by Empty Hats from Empty Hats 14:30 - STORY FROM MARC GUNN I have a new single that will be released on July 29. It's called “By Amazing Grace”. I wrote it for the In the ‘Verse podcast I did with Mikey Mason. You can listen to episode #13 here. The song is about toxic masculinity. Being masculine and strong are fine. But when masculinity is used as a weapon to belittle and control women or anyone, that's when it's a problem. Just like in the Firefly episode, “Heart of Gold,” where I got inspiration for this song. “By Amazing Grace” turns the tables. It's about a man who meets a woman. He woos her. They fall in love. Then his true colors are revealed. He's actually a monster bent on controlling people. When you meet people like that, there are two things you can do. You can allow them to control you or you stand up to them, fight back, teach them that there is a better place than toxic masculinity, one where people are equal. So she fights back with the reminder that real men are those who treasure and support the women they love. 18:22 - “By Amazing Grace” from Selcouth (featuring Andrew McKee of Brobdingnagian Bards and Jamie Haeuser) 22:29 - Adrian Walter is the drummer, dancer, and front man of the bagpipe band Tartanic. If you let him—he'll pick up guitars and penny whistles or a didgeridoo—but heavy medication has aided greatly to quell this urge. 24:48 - STORY FROM TARTANIC 29:22 - “BallZ/Ringworm” by Tartanic from Uncivilized 33:45 -- New Irish & Celtic Song Lyrics. Are wet dreams sinful? Are there any exceptions in which getting a vasectomy would be permitted? Ask Christopher West is a weekly podcast in which Theology of the Body Institute President Christopher West and his beloved wife Wendy share their humor and wisdom, answering questions about marriage, relationships, life, and the Catholic faith, all in light of John Paul II's beautiful teachings on the Theology of the Body. Want to support the Theology of the Body Institute and have a better chance of us answering your question? Join our Patron Community (https://tobpatron.com)! Patron Question: I submitted a question to you a few weeks ago but I HAD to thank you for recommending John Paul IIs "Jewelers Shop." It has changed me, maybe forever. Utterly. Also, your beautiful words regarding Elisabeth Leseur: I was aware of her but it was wonderful to hear. She is one of my “special saints.” Finally, I'm doing a doctorate on spirituality, embodiment, and dementia. I see so much in Theology of the Body that relates. Maybe I can someday work with you on issues related to aging. It's a challenging field, dementia and TOB. God bless! I Adore you both! Question 2: Christopher, how would you approach the topic of wet dreams? To me they seem involuntary or uncontrolled, and the sometimes very lustful content of them shocks me. Since I don't masturbate or watch porn anymore, and desire to live chastely. I have them about once a week, and when I wake up, I'm usually a little bit confused about my body and my mind. Qestion 3: I just listened to Matt Fradd's latest interview with you and found it beautiful. I'm a father of four who's just coming up on forty this year and was really struck by your reflections on parenting, growing older, and God's Grace throughout it all. My wife and I both really enjoyed it. Speaking of my wife, we have been married for almost twelve years and have four beautiful children. We met in church and were, right out of the gate, practitioners of and advocates for the Theology of the Body and Natural Family Planning. Yet now, I find myself waiting for a urologist consultation to get a vasectomy. I'm in a position where it is unsafe for my wife to become pregnant. In fact, my doctor said he normally dissuades young men from getting them but is making an exception because of my wife's situation. Being married for over a decade and being around other long-lasting marriages has revealed a lot of otherwise conservative Catholic couples with lots of kids who use contraception. I cannot see any demonstrable reason why it's bad, in an otherwise healthy marriage, unlike abuses like porn or alcohol addiction. So, between our medical situation and my lived experience, I'm struggling. I understand there's Natural Family Planning, but we've experienced two surprise pregnancies and we honestly view it now with suspicion. That's where I'm at. I've talked to priests about this and other strong Catholics. Their advice always is, "The Church's teaching is clear but you are right to protect your wife." Again, it was a wonderful talk with Matt Fradd and I'm sure God led us to it for multiple reasons. I hope you can give me some clarity to square my conscience with Church teaching. In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG), I covered: an urgent call for emotional maturity so that we can stop making other people responsible for how we feel about ourselves, others, and the world around us (and how this shows up in the entitled culture that has its arms wrapped around us today)......why we cannot FORCE ourselves and other people to care about every issue that presents itself (this is not sustainable), the limitations of over-identifying with any political stance, confirmation bias, cultish observations, the pressure to PICK A SIDE, being so progressive you become regressive (and accidentally racist, oops!)...In this episode I also had the pleasure of engaging with someone who reminded of why I HAD to leave what I refer to as ‘The Cult of Wokeness' (you can read my open letter here if haven't already) - it was educational and highlighted all the points I brought into the conversation which was very interesting....& MORERemember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge you to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.SHARE, SUBSCRIBE, & LEAVE A REVIEW

I am OBSESSED with today's podcast episode with Jen and Brandyn from @ParentTeam. We covered so many topics & the biggest theme through it all was about partnerships- both business and personal. Jen & Brandyn lay out key factors that can make or break relationships and how to set yourself up for success! Here are some of the other things we talked about: 1. Parenting from two homes 2. How our past influences our parenting 3. Why conflict begins after we have children 4. The keys to success in building a long lasting and powerful partnership both in marriage and in business 5. The value of communication and how to talk with one another especially around uncomfortable topics There is no guidebook on how to navigate these things, how to create boundaries, how to be real with one another. Parent Team has an online course that provides courses for parents to help get on the same page, no matter if they are parenting from one home or two. Jen & Brandyn believe that when people are given the skills and tools for difficult challenges in life, both they and their children are better equipped. Have you ever dealt with that voice inside your head that has told you that you “can’t” do something? I feel like we’ve all dealt with this at some point in our lives, which is why I HAD to bring on my friend, Joanna Ziemlewski to the podcast. Joanna is a breakthrough coach that helps people to overcome their limiting beliefs and transform their lives. So many women I meet run into this tiny seed of doubt in their brains when they create a business, and it holds them back from being truly successful. On this podcast, we dive into how being an introvert can be an advantage, why you need to take an inventory of your skills and how Joanna helps clients to overcome their imposter syndrome. If you’ve ever felt the need to change your mindset and rewire your brain so you can up-level your life and business then today’s episode is for you. We talk about: How Joanna and Mallory met each other What Joanna does and how being an introvert is an advantage in business How to know the difference between imposter syndrome, action problems or skillset problems Taking an inventory of your skills How your drive and mindset can help you build the skills you need What imposter syndrome is How Joanna helps clients by helping them to identify who they believe they are How certain events in your childhood creates patterns in your life Rewiring ourselves to up-level in our lives as we grow and want to do new things Adjusting your environment to What clients need to believe to overcome imposter syndrome Allowing discomfort to work its way through when going after a big goal Therapeutic and healing ways of releasing energy Joanna’s rule for failures How the universe will test you when you want to up-level How Joanna got started in her business after tragically losing her sister Healing what’s going on at the root and overcoming your past trauma About Joanna Ziemlewski: I help remarkable women stop fighting themselves so they can double their business, make a greater impact, and live a life they truly love. To put it simply, I help you transform years of struggle and self-doubt into the results you want in just 90 days. Sometimes even in 1 day. It’s based on my belief that there is nothing wrong with you. You are whole, you are complete, and we just need to integrate what you forgot back together. I’ve learned how to use the body, mind, and spirit combined with expert problem solving to help you strategically build your business while you simultaneously design a fulfilling life. I like to keep things simple and efficient (yeah I’m a former chemical engineer). So I’m one part logical to one part spiritual. A little woo woo, but based on science. As a certified Master NLP Practioner and Senior Leader with Tony Robbins, I’ve had the pleasure of helping people from all over the world and in different stages of life, transform their suffering into empowering meaning that now fuels them. I have spent the last 3 years as a mentor with Sue Bryce Education helping photographers gain confidence and clarity as an artist to create and grow a profitable business. As a photographer myself, I adore helping women transform from the inside out just by stepping in front of my camera. Nothing makes me happier than to see that special spark lit from within. And this is what I capture in each woman, whether it’s in portrait or in spirit. It’s by accepting and integrating all the parts of myself that I realized this was the missing piece. This is why so many women sabotage themselves without even knowing it — filling themselves with judgment, blame and guilt, and then feeling like an imposter either after failure or success. Well, I’m here to tell you no more. Let me show you how to shift this once and for all. Connect with Joanna: Website| Instagram| Facebook| How to Overcome Imposter Syndrome

#261: I Had to Go First In this "Monday mindset'' episode, I am reflecting and sharing my thoughts from writing my upcoming chapter in the Great Canadian Women series, She Moves Mountains.  This was a very emotional journey and vulnerable as I dove into my life over the past 15 months and what I have had to overcome to make it to this point in my entrepreneurial journey.  I am being real and raw on this episode in the hopes of inspiring you and sparking you to see that you have to choose to go first in your life too.  In today's episode we discuss:1) How many times in our lives we have to go first, we have to step forward with no guarantee of what lies ahead for us. We do this because we know that we don't want to stay where we are and we don't want to go backward in our lives. 2) What this past year of the pandemic looked like for us, and how important it is to continue to practice empathy, patience, compassion and kindness with ourselves because everything we do or create in our life, comes from us first.  It all stems from the relationship and belief that we have within ourselves. 3) I share the experience of back surgery, my rehabilitation process and how I had to learn how to put my needs, energy, health and wellness first. Guys and Gals, Bad news for you today. The “experts” are wrong. Ever heard this quote?I’m calling BS on that…..I think this is awful advice and makes people broke, unhappy, and wondering if something is wrong with them…..Here’s the truth. We all want the same thing.I think I’m in a good position to speak to the truth of this. For the past 3 years, I’ve worked with 20,000+ entrepreneurs, who all want to start or scale their online businesses. Yes, 20,000.Want to know what they ALL want?Literally every single one of them?Freedom.Time freedom. Choice freedom. “Do what I want when I want” freedom. That’s what people really want. The money? Just a means to an end.So, if we all want the exact same thing, and a business or job is just a VEHICLE to get us there…. why are we worried about what vehicle it is?Let me put it another way….Path #1 - You drive in a Rolls Royce Ghost for 10 years, and end up at your freedom destination. Path #2 - You drive in a beat up 1950’s Honda Civic for 2 years, and end up at your freedom destination.Read those again if you missed the difference. Are you willing to give up 8 years just to get to the same destination “in style?”At the end of the day, you’re still stuck in a car!!!That’s how I feel most people are operating though. They are more concerned with their current pain points in their current job or business, than they are with actually getting to the destination.I’ve literally seen people start a business centered around a product that made them feel more “comfortable” that was BLACK AND WHITE less profitable than another product, and GUARANTEED to slow down their journey to success, THOUSANDS of times. It’s extremely common, and I wish it wasn’t. Here’s the REAL issue with it.I’m all about enjoying what you do, but the problem is, you always end up hating it anyway, because it’s NOT the final destination and EVERY JOB eventually wears on you.I loved basketball more than pretty much anything. I was great at it. But then it turned into a job. And I ended up hating it.Now, I love coaching Entrepreneurs and helping them become successful. But if I’m totally honest with you guys?I’ve still hated it at times. It’s still a job… a means to the true end that is FREEDOM and not HAVING to work if you don’t want to.Honestly, I can speak to that as well.I REALLY started to hate my company and work in general at the times when I had NO CHOICE.I HAD to keep running it.Keep scaling it.Keep growing it.Just to put food on the table.THAT SUCKED. Because I didn’t have a choice. In fact, as a psychology major I can tell you one thing, humans are MOST miserable when they feel they have no choice. There’s this famous experiment where they literally sit people in a chair and shock them. One group gets a button (that does nothing but they don’t know that). They are told, if you press the button you can lessen the intensity of the shock. The other group gets nothing and just has to sit there and get shocked.Guess who experienced EXTREMELY higher levels of pain and anxiety? You guessed it, the ones who had NO CHOICE, no CONTROL over the situation.Want to know when my companies became FUN again? Was it when I molded them into my “perfect lifestyle so I’d never have to work again because I loved it so much? (que the butterflies and rainbows)”… NO.It was when money became non important to the equation.Once I had enough money to realistically retire whenever I wanted, instantly all the stress changed for me.I knew I COULD just stop and go to my eventual freedom destination RIGHT NOW if I wanted to.And that POSSIBILITY ALONE has cleared my mind unlike any “lifestyle planning” or “doing what you love” seminar ever could….So what can you take away from this?Stop acting like your job is supposed to fulfill you. It’s not. It never will. Entrepreneurs, same thing. Your business is not God. It doesn’t complete you.Everyone, including you, no matter how much you lie to yourself, wants the SAME THING. FREEDOM. So take the quickest route to actually achieve that freedom.IMPORTANT: That route might not be easy. Deal with it. It’s better to fight tooth and nail for a short period and achieve what you actually set out to achieve in the first place.Subscribe dang it! This letter is ridiculous. Also share it with someone! Debbie Reynolds is known as “The Data Diva” — and for good reason.    In addition to being founder, CEO and chief data privacy officer of her own successful consulting firm, Debbie has been named to the Global Top 20 CyberRisk Communicators by The European Risk Policy Institute in 2020. She’s also written a few books, such as The GDPR Challenge: Privacy, Technology, and Compliance In An Age of Accelerating Change; as well as articles for other publications.   If you are building data products, especially customer-facing software, you’ll want to tune into this episode. Debbie and Ihad an awesome discussion about data privacy from the lens of user experience instead of the typical angle we are all used to: legal compliance. While collecting user data can enable better user experiences, we can also break a customer’s trust if we don’t request access properly.     In our chat, we covered: 'Humans are using your product': What it means to be a 'data steward' when building software. (0:27) 'Privacy by design': The importance for software creators to think about privacy throughout the entire product creation process. (4:32) The different laws (and lack thereof) regarding data privacy — and the importance to think about a product's potential harm during the design process. (6:58) The importance of having 'diversity at all levels' when building data products. (16:41) The role of transparency in data collection. (19:41) Fostering a positive and collaborative relationship between a product or service’s designers, product owners, and legal compliance experts. (24:55) The future of data monetization and how it relates to privacy. (29:18)   Resources and Links: Debbie’s Website. Twitter: @DebbieDataDiva Debbie’s LinkedIn Quotes from Today’s Episode When it comes to your product, humans are using it. Regardless of whether the users are internal or external — what I tell people is to put themselves in the shoes of someone who’s using this and think about what you would want to have done with your information or with your rights. Putting it in that context, I think, helps people think and get out of their head about it. Obviously there’s a lot of skill and a lot of experience that it takes to build these products and think about them in technical ways. But I also try to tell people that when you’re dealing with data and you’re building products, you’re a data steward. The data belongs to someone else, and you’re holding it for them, or you’re allowing them to either have access to it or leverage it in some way. So, think about yourself and what you would think you would want done with your information. - Debbie (3:28)   Privacy by design is looking at the fundamental levels of how people are creating things, and having them think about privacy as they’re doing that creation. When that happens, then privacy is not a difficult thing at the end. Privacy really isn’t something you could tack on at the end of something; it’s something that becomes harder if it’s not baked in. So, being able to think about those things throughout the process makes it easier. We’re seeing situations now where consumers are starting to vote with their feet — if they feel like a tool or a process isn’t respecting their privacy rights, they want to be able to choose other things. So, I think that’s just the way of the world. .... It may be a situation where you’re going to lose customers or market share if you’re not thinking about the rights of individuals. - Debbie (5:20)   I think diversity at all levels is important when it comes to data privacy, such as diversity in skill sets, points of view, and regional differences. … I think people in the EU — because privacy is a fundamental human right — feel about it differently than we do here in the US where our privacy rights don’t really kick in unless it’s a transaction. ...  The parallel I say is that people in Europe feel about privacy like we feel about freedom of speech here — it’s just very deeply ingrained in the way that they do things. And a lot of the time, when we’re building products, we don’t want to be collecting data or doing something in ways that would harm the way people feel about your product. So, you definitely have to be respectful of those different kinds of regimes and the way they handle data. … I’ll give you a biased example that someone had showed me, which was really interesting. There was a soap dispenser that was created where you put your hand underneath and then the soap comes out. It’s supposed to be a motion detection thing. And this particular one would not work on people of color. I guess whatever sensor they created, it didn’t have that color in the spectrum of what they thought would be used for detection or whatever. And so those are problems that happen a lot if you don’t have diverse people looking at these products. Because you — as a person that is creating products — you really want the most people possible to be able to use your products. I think there is an imperative on the economic side to make sure these products can work for everyone. - Debbie (17:31)   Transparency is the wave of the future, I think, because so many privacy laws have it. Almost any privacy law you think of has transparency in it, some way, shape, or form. So, if you’re not trying to be transparent with the people that you’re dealing with, or potential customers, you’re going to end up in trouble. - Debbie (24:35)    In my experience, while I worked with lawyers in the digital product design space — and it was heaviest when I worked at a financial institution — I watched how the legal and risk department basically crippled stuff constantly. And I say “cripple” because the feeling that I got was there’s a line between adhering to the law and then also—some of this is a gray area, like disclosure. Or, if we show this chart that has this information, is that construed as advice? I understand there’s a lot of legal regulation there. My feeling was, there’s got to be a better way for compliance departments and lawyers that genuinely want to do the right thing in their work to understand how to work with product design, digital design teams, especially ones using data in interesting ways. How do you work with compliance and legal when we’re designing digital products that use data so that it’s a team effort, and it’s not just like, “I’m going to cover every last edge because that’s what I’m here to do is to stop anything that could potentially get us sued.” There is a cost to that. There’s an innovation cost to that. It’s easier, though, to look at the lawyer and say, “Well, I guess they know the law better, so they’re always going to win that argument.” I think there’s a potential risk there. - Brain (25:01)   Trust is so important. A lot of times in our space, we think about it with machine learning, and AI, and trusting the model predictions and all this kind of stuff, but trust is a brand attribute as well and it’s part of the reason I think design is important because the designers tend to be the most empathetic and user-centered of the bunch. That’s what we’re often there to do is to keep that part in check because we can do almost anything these days with the tech and the data, and some of it’s like, “Should we do this?” And if we do do it, how do we do it so we’re on brand, and the trust is built, and all these other factors go into that user experience. - Brian (34:21)

Know as Jungleists, we had a large crew that would roll to Raves and Jungle Parties to dance, pop, break, cause trouble and represent Junglist style. These where some of the best memories of my life, no fear just music, community and dancing. Since those days my appreciation for different genres of music has expanded exponentially. That being said Jungle is still my favorite music to dance to or hear at the club. BIG UP TO MY OG JUNGLISTS!!Stay Tuned,DJ Panther

To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1085/29 The emergency fund is a key part of wise money management. Only God sees the future but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan for the unplanned by having a cash reserve. That’s also true for churches. Like members of the flock, churches also need money in the bank for unforeseen expenses. But what rules govern the management of those funds? MoneyWise host Rob West tackles that topic today! Churches need a cushion to ensure that routine expenses are paid on time. Without it, they run the risk of getting hit with late fees. If there’s a mortgage on the church property, there needs to be at least a few months payments stored up to avoid foreclosure in the event of an interruption in revenue. Planning and wise management of funds are necessary because there’ll always be pressures within the church about how they should be used. Should some of it go toward paying down debt early, or, to be more generous to the staff? And what about starting new programs? Having a cash reserve is simply the faithful administering of God’s resources. This honors God, and the church has to make it a priority; it’s key to giving the world the right impression of God. It’s important to build up reserves during the good times especially when the church is growingit can be part of the budget process. For any of this to work, leadership needs to communicate the importance of having cash reserves to the congregation. It doesn’t show a lack of faith; it’s simply good stewardship. Properly communicating clear, specific goals and the progress made toward them might even inspire more faithful giving. All of of a sudden, she deeply understood her patients like she never had before. The impact the loss had on her life never left her, & after having her second child, she decided it was time to enact cultural change. Since then, she has done powerful work through her popular #ihadamiscarriage social media campaign, & now, through the book where she invites us into her home & office to understand the ins & outs of loss, the effect it has on your soul, your relationships, and your life as a whole.

I have a system, a 100% repeatable step-by-step strategy, that FLATTENS problems in any business. “Big call, Dan. Where’s the proof?” Here it is. You see, I HAD to develop this strategy. Because every business I built had its problems, as I’m sure yours does too. So when I faced problems and we solved them, I worked with my team to figure out what we did that worked. We mapped it out and tried it on the next problem, and the next. What emerged was a strategy that I’ve been sharing for years now. I have a client that recently followed this strategy, step by step, and within 2 months they increased their ROAS by 300%! Did they get lucky? Learn magic?  No. They followed the process I’m about to share with you in this weeks video. Now, whenever red flags are raised in your business, rather than screaming in panic and tearing your hair out… You’ll have a playbook you can turn to, to shut that problem DOWN. And get back to scaling your business. Would love to hear your thoughts on the video.
