Maybe Tom Brady tried to fill up his 2015 Rolls Royce Ghost last week and that's why he came out of retirement. Joking. But it's time to confront gas prices or the narrative around them for that matter. This week, Mark, Derek and Luke tackle a slew of topics that in one way or another, relate to public relations and marketing tactics. From the White House drafting TikTok stars to control political narratives, all the way to Tom Brady's unretirement. Everything's been attached to a narrative the last couple of years and this episode of “The Capitalist Investor” breaks down a few. Outline of This Episode: ● [1:30] White House TikTokers ● [11:35] NATO defense requirements ● [16:30] Mike Tyson's come back● [18:15] Tom Brady's early UN-retirement

In today's episode, I have a special guest coming from West Philadelphia born and raised who's a contemporary artist that is changing the world with every pen and brush stroke that passes through his hands. Since he was a kid he would draw on the walls of his family's home as his canvas to express his emotions, gain insight into his creative self, and practice the skills he has mastered today. He uses splashes of vibrant colors and bears to depict his abstract inspirations and state of mind. He has been a part of various major art based activations including being a featured Revolt TV artist with Foot-Action during Art Basel, collaborating with MAJOR brands such as Jordan and Champion, to having his work exhibited on the sixth floor of the NYSE, along with designing a host of luxury automotive commissions such as the Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, the Rolls Royce Ghost and much more. “I'm happy I get to do it my own way. I get to have fun with it. I'd hear other attorneys in the community say, ‘that's so tacky' and ‘it's unethical.' But I'm like, ‘Good,' you know? Don't you want to have fun? Wouldn't you like to do it your way, if you could do it your way and you could succeed?” - Dan Gerl Why did Dan transition from graphic designer, to prosecutor, to CEO of a criminal defense firm? How did Dan's life change when his 4-month-old, Jack, had a heart attack? How did telling Jack's story of recovery win Dan a Rolls-Royce? What has Dan learned from his experience in the legal industry's top coaching program? Why does Dan use the term “The Avengers” to describe his partners? Let the Good Times Roll(s) In late 2019, Dan Gerl had one of the most terrifying experiences a parent can have. Out of nowhere one day, his 4-month-old son Jack had a heart attack and stopped breathing. After they rushed him to the hospital, Dan and his family learned of a rare type of tumor in Jack's heart. For months, they all lived on pins and needles as they waited for the surgery that might save their son. Procedures were delayed due to COVID. Jack got the flu and couldn't travel to his pre-op assessment. Just as they discovered that Jack was eligible for surgery, Dan's mother passed away. It's a testament to Dan's strength that throughout all of this, he continued to run his highly successful criminal defense firm, Puget Law Group. He also continued his commitment to his coaching program and even took things to the next level by competing in the Crisp Effect. Through it all, he created powerful, creative videos documenting his 2020 experience: with the firm, with his mother, and with Jack. At the Game Changers Summit 3 in 2021, Dan was recognized by 2,500 of his peers for growing his firm 200% and the powerful positivity that permeated his work. As the winner of the Crisp Effect Challenge, he walked away with the keys to a $300,000 Rolls-Royce Ghost. But the greatest win of all is that his son Jack had successful heart surgery, has fully recovered, and has been growing and thriving ever since. Doing His Share Dan's work doesn't just demonstrate his positivity. It's a window into his creative spirit. A former graphic designer, Dan uses his skillset to create a distinctive brand full of humor, swagger, and eye-catching visuals. He's found ingenious ways to employ this advantage, zigging where other law firms zag, especially during COVID. As Dan says, “We got big time into buying up outdoor advertising — doubling and tripling our marketing efforts — because nobody else was doing it.” But for all his creative and professional success, Dan is still incredibly humble. He doesn't care if his name is on the door. He has made big sacrifices, relinquishing his role in the courtroom and recruiting talented partners to share his stake in the firm. He's never looked back. “I wanted to build something that would, that would grow and have significance. The potential for that is exponentially greater than what I had.” Key takeaways: Play to your strengths. Find a way to incorporate your unique skill set. Adapt. Overcome. When he didn't make it as a prosecutor, Dan made a name for himself in criminal defense. Turn pain into a positive. Let hard times make you stronger. This past year could be charitably described as “mixed” for the automotive industry. After what turned out to be a relatively brief blip due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the previous year, consumer demand returned with a vengeance in 2021.But although factories were back up and running, another virus-related hiccup — a shortage of semiconductors — forced most of the world's top automakers to cut production. All told, vehicle sales increased last year, but still remained shy of their pre-pandemic numbers. One very niche subset of the market, however, came out of 2021 stronger than ever.CNN reports that several ultra-luxury auto brands — whose cars and SUVs sell, at minimum, for the price of your typical three-bedroom suburban home – saw record sales numbers last year.British automakers Rolls-Royce and Bentley each posted new highs last year, while Italy's Lamborghini is also poised to report strong sales numbers.Company officials credited strong consumer demand and continued low interest rates, but those brands also operate on different scales than global automakers who reported less rosy calendar years.Ultra-luxury vehicles are often tailored specifically to individual customers over weeks or months, and because the extremely expensive cars only appeal to thousands of potential buyers around the world, lineup changes can have a disproportionate effect on sales.Still, CNN noted, models debuted by Rolls-Royce and Bentley in 2021 could be considered economical for those brands. A redesign of the Rolls-Royce Ghost started at more than $300,000, while Bentley saw sales of its Flying Spur, with an option for a less-expensive V8 engine, nearly double. Bentley also benefited from strong sales of a new hybrid SUV.Rolls-Royce also reportedly claimed a record-high average vehicle price for 2021, although the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail skewed that number. Only three are being made, and they will cost a reported $25 million.
Early in 2021, a teenage boy witnessed a colleague and me exit a 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost at a local sandwich shop. He approached us, looked at my friend and said: "Excuse me, sir. What kind of job do I need to get to afford a car like that?" A few hours later while waiting in the Ghost at a stoplight two men in a vehicle to my right that may not have made it to its destination, caught my attention. Before the light changed, they uncorked a jubilant dance of synchronized hand signs and body gestures. I didn't know what the display meant, but I'm certain it was a good thing. The Rolls-Royce Ghost is the 2021 Car of the Year. All images © James Raia/2021 Far more expensive vehicles exist. But the Ghost, with its stunning craftsmanship and its elusive existence, is the Car of the Year chosen by TheWeeklyDriver.com. As per the site's tradition, our Cars of the Year list is published at the end of the calendar year. Many prominent print and online publications make selections sometimes before vehicles are available to the public. We've always waited until the end of the year. It provides perspective, 2021 Car of the Year? Rolls-Royce Ghost! TheWeeklyDriver.com reviewed 34 different 2021 model year vehicles with full reviews. We drove several other 2021 models and included their information in round-up articles, on podcasts and in additional industry print and online publications. TheWeeklyDriver.com has been online since 2004 and this is our 15th annual list. For the past several years, Bruce Aldrich, my co-host on The Weekly Driver Podcast, and I have picked our top-10 vehicles individually and then shared our selections on podcasts episodes. We're doing so again this year. Bruce also picked the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost as his Car of the Year. Together, we reveal our respective choices. The 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost is powerful and beautifully designed. It's the 2021 Car of the Year selected by TheWeeklyDriver.com. The new Rolls-Royce is an unfair selection in some ways. While the Ghost has no rivals in several areas, it's not available to the general consumer. The entry-level Ghost and its siblings — Cullinan, Dawn, Phantom and Wraith — attract attention like no other carmaker's offerings. Global sales of 5,125 in 2020, a record, continued the brand's reputation. It's a name everyone knows, a car few see. By the time the new Ghost was announced, it was already sold out. The manufacturer describes its creation as its "purest expression." 2021 Cars of the Year: Ford Mustang Mach-E gets runnerup Who's to argue? The 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost features a 6.75-liter, twin-turbo, 48-valve V12. It produces 563 horsepower and advances from zero to 60 miles per hour, via its eight-speed automatic transmission, in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 155 miles per hour. The drive is powerful, smooth, quiet and carried 21-inch, 10-spoke wheels. And while the wheels spin, the RR center emblems remain upright. It's all impressive for a vehicle that weighs 5,540 pounds and extends slightly more than 18 feet. The sedan's performance could define it, but Ghost's presence reigns. The combination of the Tempest Grey exterior paint with Tailored Purple trim is unusual, but it works. Similar colors adorn the interior, complemented with Obsidian Ayous wood trim and white lambswool foot mats. The 2021 Mustang Mach-E was runner-up to Rolls-Royce Ghost in the Cars of the Year list selected by TheWeeklyDriver.com. A few Rolls-Royce Ghost signature features add ridiculously wonderful opulence. An umbrella is secured into the interior of both rear doors, released with a push of a button. Two champagne flutes are ready in the cooled small refrigerated compartment in the middle of the back seat. The headliner is the design of a shooting star. Lots of constellations are offered, a bespoke feature selected by every new buyer and configured with between 600 and 1,600 hand-placed fiber-optic stars.

If you're the type to have a whole different 'podcast listening vibe' at night versus during the day, then this week's episode is for you! Sami starts out with his experience in the new 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge: its history, its relevance, and its weird placement in RR lore that certainly doesn't suggest it's the perfect ride for a nocturnal pyschopath on a killing spree. Benjamin then shares his thoughts on the 2022 Subaru Outback WILDerness, and whether it's the real off-roading Subaru deal or just another somewhat goofy trim package for those secret Pontiac stans who really, really love plastic body cladding. Finally, Sami and Benjamin talk about marketing versus real-world fuel numbers in the new variable compression, turbo three-equipped 2022 Nissan Rogue, where Sami reveals his deep-seated fears that someone, somewhere, is playing an elaborate trick on would-be Nissan buyers.

"The New Rolls-Royce Ghost Appears With A 'Post Opulent' Embodiment" Text-to-Audio podcast. Blogpost available on gmancareviews.com
Guys and Gals, Bad news for you today. The “experts” are wrong. Ever heard this quote?I’m calling BS on that…..I think this is awful advice and makes people broke, unhappy, and wondering if something is wrong with them…..Here’s the truth. We all want the same thing.I think I’m in a good position to speak to the truth of this. For the past 3 years, I’ve worked with 20,000+ entrepreneurs, who all want to start or scale their online businesses. Yes, 20,000.Want to know what they ALL want?Literally every single one of them?Freedom.Time freedom. Choice freedom. “Do what I want when I want” freedom. That’s what people really want. The money? Just a means to an end.So, if we all want the exact same thing, and a business or job is just a VEHICLE to get us there…. why are we worried about what vehicle it is?Let me put it another way….Path #1 - You drive in a Rolls Royce Ghost for 10 years, and end up at your freedom destination. Path #2 - You drive in a beat up 1950’s Honda Civic for 2 years, and end up at your freedom destination.Read those again if you missed the difference. Are you willing to give up 8 years just to get to the same destination “in style?”At the end of the day, you’re still stuck in a car!!!That’s how I feel most people are operating though. They are more concerned with their current pain points in their current job or business, than they are with actually getting to the destination.I’ve literally seen people start a business centered around a product that made them feel more “comfortable” that was BLACK AND WHITE less profitable than another product, and GUARANTEED to slow down their journey to success, THOUSANDS of times. It’s extremely common, and I wish it wasn’t. Here’s the REAL issue with it.I’m all about enjoying what you do, but the problem is, you always end up hating it anyway, because it’s NOT the final destination and EVERY JOB eventually wears on you.I loved basketball more than pretty much anything. I was great at it. But then it turned into a job. And I ended up hating it.Now, I love coaching Entrepreneurs and helping them become successful. But if I’m totally honest with you guys?I’ve still hated it at times. It’s still a job… a means to the true end that is FREEDOM and not HAVING to work if you don’t want to.Honestly, I can speak to that as well.I REALLY started to hate my company and work in general at the times when I had NO CHOICE.I HAD to keep running it.Keep scaling it.Keep growing it.Just to put food on the table.THAT SUCKED. Because I didn’t have a choice. In fact, as a psychology major I can tell you one thing, humans are MOST miserable when they feel they have no choice. There’s this famous experiment where they literally sit people in a chair and shock them. One group gets a button (that does nothing but they don’t know that). They are told, if you press the button you can lessen the intensity of the shock. The other group gets nothing and just has to sit there and get shocked.Guess who experienced EXTREMELY higher levels of pain and anxiety? You guessed it, the ones who had NO CHOICE, no CONTROL over the situation.Want to know when my companies became FUN again? Was it when I molded them into my “perfect lifestyle so I’d never have to work again because I loved it so much? (que the butterflies and rainbows)”… NO.It was when money became non important to the equation.Once I had enough money to realistically retire whenever I wanted, instantly all the stress changed for me.I knew I COULD just stop and go to my eventual freedom destination RIGHT NOW if I wanted to.And that POSSIBILITY ALONE has cleared my mind unlike any “lifestyle planning” or “doing what you love” seminar ever could….So what can you take away from this?Stop acting like your job is supposed to fulfill you. It’s not. It never will. Entrepreneurs, same thing. Your business is not God. It doesn’t complete you.Everyone, including you, no matter how much you lie to yourself, wants the SAME THING. FREEDOM. So take the quickest route to actually achieve that freedom.IMPORTANT: That route might not be easy. Deal with it. It’s better to fight tooth and nail for a short period and achieve what you actually set out to achieve in the first place.Subscribe dang it! This letter is ridiculous. Also share it with someone! Are you not entertained?KaleAbout the Author: Kale Abrahamson has done over $50,000,000 in online E-Commerce Sales and has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, ESPN, & Home Business Magazine. The Hellcat truck is finally here, and Benjamin gets to bounce around off-road in the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX while flexing its mud-covered 702 horsepower all over Montreal. So why isn't he super excited about the most over-the-top pickup truck ever built? Sami tracks down shooting stars in the headliner of the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost while expressing his intense anxiety about parking a car that costs half a million dollars. The pair wrap things up by talking about the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz mini-truck and the surprisingly boring 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS EV.

There's always a lot happening in the auto industry. But it's been a particularly wild ride lately. Tiger Woods crashed a new 2021 Genesis GV70. I test drove a 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost for four days. And a new coffee table-sized book on the new mid-engine Corvette C8 has been published. Co-hosts Bruce Aldrich and James Raia discuss the three topics and more on this episode of The Weekly Driver Podcast. Bruce Aldrich and James Raia discuss Tiger Woods, the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost and a new book on the mid-engine Corvette C8 on this episode of The Weekly Driver Podcast. Image © Gretchen Gaither/2021. Woods sustained multiple leg injuries early February 23 when he was involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles County. The accident continued the golf icon's years of misfortune while driving. After removing Woods from his vehicle with the “jaws of life,” the golfer was taken by ambulance to Harbor UCLA Medical Center. It was Woods' third car accident since 2009. Woods, 45, an 82-time PGA Tour winner, was in the Southern California area for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades. A lot still remains unknown about the accident and Woods' future. Bruce and I give our opinions, which mostly streamline to: "Hey Tiger. Live Longer. Hire A Driver." Tiger Woods suffered multiple leg injuries Feb. 23 in a single-car accident in Southern California. It was Woods' third car accident since 2007. Woods recently had another in his long series of back surgeries and he recently said his recovery could recent back surgery could keep him out of the upcoming Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia. The 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost attracted as much attention as any vehicle I've reviewed in 16 years as an automotive journalist The entry-level Ghost and siblings Cullinan, Dawn, Phantom and Wraith attract attention like no other carmaker's offerings. Global sales of 5,125 in 2020 continued the brand's reputation. It's a name everyone knows, a car few see. The Cullinan, the company's first SUV, debuted in 2018. It catapulted sales to record levels. The Ghost is described as the carmaker's “purest expression.” Podcast No. 172: Tiger Woods, Rolls-Royce, Corvette CB Book Who's to argue? Newness abounds this year in the long-anticipated five-passenger sedan's second generation. The so-called entry-level Rolls Royce was the brand's top-seller for the previous decade. The new Ghost features a 6.75-liter, twin-turbo, 48-valve V12. It produces 563 horsepower and advances from zero to 60 miles per hour, via its eight-speed automatic transmission, in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 155 miles per hour. The drive is powerful, smooth, quiet and carried on 21-inch, 10-spoke wheels. And while the wheels spin, the RR center emblems remain upright. It's all impressive for a vehicle that weighs 5,540 pounds and extends slightly more than 18 feet. And speaking of beauty, consider the new Corvette. The debuts of the 2020 C8 and its 2021 sibling, both delayed in production by the coronavirus pandemic, feature what Chevy considered for decades — a mid-engine. With diminishing sales for several years, the eighth generation is unlike any previous Corvette. Its engineers, like other renowned American artists, were influenced by European supercar masters from Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren. Some purists were aghast, others welcomed the change. With a starting price of less than $60,000 and stunning specs — a 6.2-liter V8, top-speed of 194 miles per hour and 0-60 mph in less than three seconds — the new Corvette has global sales aspirations. Chevy hopes its sports car flagship's reputation, cultivating since 1953, accelerates across continents and into competitors' domains. The new Corvette also disrupts previous signature traits. An eight-speed, double-clutch transmission replaces a stick shift. Please join us for another episode as we examine the ever-changi...

For 2021, Rolls-Royce looked at the future for its Ghost model and stuffed it with plenty of high-tech wizardry. Rolling on a new platform, the Ghost rides on a sophisticated suspension that uses cameras to help predict road conditions and make adjustments to keep folks in the cabin from feeling any bumps in their travels. A 6.75-liter V12 powers the Ghost, which only further establishes its overt opulence. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek's Mark Vaughn puts the latest Ghost through its paces and brings you along for the ride. Vaughn walks you around the new Rolls, giving insight into its features and then brings you into the car with him while he does a drive review. In between those recordings, Vaughn talks about his thoughts with host Wesley Wren.

In this episode we discuss Sebastian Vettel in an Aston Martin, Formula E tracks, dodgy body kits and the New, rather kinky, Rolls Royce Ghost.
After 10 years of the first-generation Ghost, with a few updates or "series"(s) in between, Rolls-Royce thought that they were now fashionably late to making an all-new model (excluding Cullinan) and reckoned it was about time they made an all-new generation of their "smallest" model... Last but not least, we have a bit of a teaser for next week when a special guest will join our podcast to talk about the latest BMW designs.

In this week’s Auto Express podcast, host Vicki Butler-Henderson, deputy editor John McIlroy and chief reviewer Sean Carson mull over the week’s biggest stories. In the latest episode of #evoConversations Parveen Agarwal shows us around (and fires up!) his collection of sportscars and luxury cars including the only McLaren 570S Coupe in India (that he bought from Bangkok), Lamborghini Aventador S, the Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Ghost and many more!
Today’s podcast episode is an interview with James Rice, a car collector from Beverly Hills and owner of the very first Rolls Royce Phantom VIII delivered to the USA. To call him a car collector would actually do him a disservice, as he daily drives all cars from the Phantom VIII all the way down to a 1927 Phantom I! Show notes and images can be found at https://www.supercartribe.com/ep21 We start this episode talking about how he initially got into cars and how his first “proper” car was a Bentley Arnage he ordered with a bespoke spec from Bentley. We then talk about his Ferrari 488 GTB, a standard road car that has solely been purchased to drive on the track. Finally, we dive into his Rolls Royce collection which includes a Rolls Royce Phantom I, Phantom II, Phantom VII Drophead Coupe, and Phantom VIII! The Phantom I is a 1927 car from the era when Sir Henry Royce was making the cars. But unlike other cars that are over 90 years old, James Rice drives his car to works at least once a week. This involves a 60+ mile commute! Having previously also owned a Rolls Royce Ghost (modern version), he talks about what he loves and hates about the car. James compares it not only to his older cars and the Phantom VII Drophead Coupe but also to the build quality of the Bentley Arnage. We of course move on to his latest addition, the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII, the latest Phantom offered by Rolls Royce. We talk about what makes it the best car in the world, and about how he decided to purchase and spec the car. His Phantom was one of the first cars delivered around the world and the first in the USA. The car is stunning as you can see from the pictures. It was great speaking to James, and I would like to sincerely thank him for his time. Check it out by either listening from the player at the top of the page, or through the links below.

The UAE is well known for its enduring love of premium luxury cars and the capital is home to Rolls-Royce’s most successful dealership. With an unmatched total of 20 Global Awards in 14 years, Abu Dhabi Motors remains the top dealer globally, selling upwards of 1,500 vehicles since 2003. In this week’s Business Extra Podcast, host Chris Nelson visits the dealership -- in a Rolls-Royce Ghost no less -- to talk to its general manager, Arno Husselmann. Mr Husselmann expands on what was another very good year for the company and for Abu Dhabi Motors, which also sells BMWs, and how Rolls-Royce is moving into new territory with the soon-to-be launched Cullinan 4x4. He also reveals the brand's growing focus on younger customers -- the newly minted app billionaires, for instance -- plus its development of electric cars and the dealership's ongoing rivalry with Beverly Hills Rolls-Royce in Los Angeles.
