Now returning to Movement for his first and much anticipated EP, Amir unveils 'Goloka', alongside remixes from Ruben Karapetyan and Da Luka & Jorgio Kioris. Providing the lone interpretation of 'Goloka' is Ruben Karapetyan who returns to the label for his sixth appearance. Having reinvigorated his career following a ten-year hiatus, Armenian born, USA based artist Ruben Karapetyan has found favour amongst progressive music tastemakers and fans alike. His ethno-inspried take on the genre has flourished on Movement Recordings, with six originals and one remix released across the last eighteen months. Now, following standout offerings via Balkan Connection and Mango Alley, Ruben returns to Movement with a groovy take on 'Goloka'. Taking inspiration from the original, Ruben flexes his free-thinking muscles and crafts a version that lands comfortably between the surreal and exotic. Neatly manicured percussion and a smooth, hip-swinging groove set the course for layers of harmonic colour, which ultimately provides a bridge into the main break. Coming to full fruition across the centrepiece, tension rises through dancing arps, grandiose chord changes and drum driven drama, while never letting go of its tranquil vibration and smoothly pushing onwards to a glowing, vocal infused finale. Berlin-based musician HOVR conjures up unique house grooves on a superb EP for Kindisch that includes a retouch from TÂCHES. HOVR is an innovative artist who mixes up the crazy with the cosy. His productions and DJ sets spread real joy and have come on labels like Poesie Musik, Dantze and Lauter Unfug, with appearances all over the world from Australia to Africa to Kater Blau and Fusion Festival. Never one to follow the norm, he always comes through with his own musical personality. He opens up this EP with 'Gravitate,' a majestic and uplifting track that pairs a dirty bassline with lush and tender chords. Dreamy spoken words muse on two entities coming together as one and delicate keys heighten the sense of romance. It's a bittersweet track that works at home, in the club, or anywhere else. The excellent house grooves of 'Afterlove' then shuffle and tumble, build and fall apart. A forlorn vocoder vocal layers in the melancholy next to heartfelt chords and longing synths. It is another innovative track packed with meaning. British artist TÂCHES is a spiritual character very much in touch with mother nature. One of Australia's most talented musicians and producers, Danny Bonnici is a true wizard of his craft with a long history in both the studio and on stage, most notably with seminal Australian progressive breaks outfit NuBreed. Fellow Australian DJ/Producer Jamesen Re also best known as the creator and visionary behind the truly iconic SUNNY SIDE UP parties during the late '90s and early 2000s, joined forces in 2017 tapping into their mutual passion for deep, melodic organic and atmospheric House Music. In 2018 the duo made its mark on the global dance community with their hit release "Equanimity" on Magician On Duty with major support from the likes Double Touch, Kora and Sebastian Leger to name a few. Their follow up releases include labels such as Kindisch, Balance Music, Open Records, The Purr. 2020 has started off in fine style for the duo with releases All Day I Dream, Dusk Till Dawn and TRYBESof and more recently in 2021 Renaissance and Beat & Path.
