Dale Crover shares his Splash Story with myself and Diamond Dave and he's one hell of a laid back good humoured guy. He tells us he's fabulous ! He had a rough time of it sometime back having to undergo an emergency spinal surgery operation so that's good to hear. Not for the faint hearted but he's a Melvin right!  On tour with Ministry after the Pandemic led to two drummers on The Tarantula Heart album with influences by PIL's Flowers of Romance and a new way of working and putting the tracks together and having "really long songs on it." There's reminiscenses on Kiss Gene Simmons, Atlantic Records and a whole bunch of insights.Crover mentioned he felt fortunate to work with King Buzzo whom he describes as "a great, idiosyncratic songwriter and a superb live performer". He added that working with Kurt Cobain, Mike Patton and Buzz had been great -  all three knew what they wanted " I just sit at the back, add a bit of direction and help steer the ship." We trust you'll enjoy the ride too....Melvins Tarantula Heart album https://melvinsofficial.bandcamp.com/album/tarantula-hearthttps://themelvins.net/Insta : https://www.instagram.com/melvinsdotcom/?hl=enFB https://www.facebook.com/melvinsarmy/IPECAC Records https://ipecac.com/releases/Dale Crover summer 2024 USA tour dates : https://music.mxdwn.com/2024/04/22/news/melvins-dale-crover-announces-summer-2024-u-s-tour-dates/https://www.themelvins.net/forum/index.php?topic=23791.0Support the Show.Get in touch with Splash Stories : splashclubtv@gmail.comhttps://www.facebook.com/thesplashclubJoin Splash Stories https://www.buzzsprout.com/1891668/supporthttps://www.instagram.com/thewonderstuffofficial/https://www.instagram.com/rickywarwickofficial/https://www.instagram.com/echobelly_official/https://www.instagram.com/officialskunkanansie/https://www.instagram.com/feederofficial/https://www.instagram.com/kcmanc/?hl=enhttps://www.facebook.com/kerbdogband/https://www.instagram.com/sohoradiohttps://www.facebook.com/groups/SoundAsEverhttps://www.pearllowe.co.ukhttps://www.supergrass.comhttps://www.wienerworld.com/product/gary-crowleys-indie-90s-playback-classics-curveballs-and-bangers/Terrorvision Tequila : https://youtu.be/8hLQCA2h8kA?si=7_HfuruL5fFUnMdFhttps://linktr.ee/thesoupdragonshttps://www.merchbar.com/rock-alternative/cj-wildhearthttps://www.facebook.com/CJWildheartOfficial/https://www.instagram.com/cjwildheart/EMF www.emf-theband.comhttps://www.facebook.com/lustforlife1976/...

STUPID THINGS WE DO TO LOOK COOL: ☞ Talking on speakerphone in public:  Why have a private conversation that invades everyone else's space? (Do it over text, like the rest of us…or at least turn it up so we can hear the other person better!) ☞ Taking pics of cash:  Rather than looking cool, this gives the impression of trying too hard. It's just as bad as bragging about how rich your parents are!) ☞ Boasting about not being on social media:  Just like despising popular trends, there's not much point in bragging about not being on social media. It doesn't make you “better” than anyone else. (Same thing about eating vegan?) ☞ Insisting on having the last word:  Sure, it gives you a momentarily exhilarating feeling, but it never, but it doesn't mean you've satisfactorily resolved the conflict. ☞ Using abusive swear words and insults:  Insults directed at a person's gender, orientation, physical or mental ability, or skin color not only decreases your cool factor, it actually makes you appear intolerant. (But…isn't that what Twitter was invented for?) ☞ Making fun of others' hobbies or interests: Laughing at someone else about what they enjoy because it's perceived as cheesy says more about the person poking fun than it does about the person showing an interest in something. (Yeah, [***co-host***]!) ☞ Using your zodiac sign as an excuse:  We've all heard someone do it: “Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'm a stubborn Taurus”. Don't use your zodiac sign as an excuse to continue bad behavior. (So, what excuse should I use?) DID YOU KNOW? Super skinny people are more likely to be couch potatoes than those with a normal or high body mass index (BMI), a new study says. Researchers in China have found that it's not more activity and less food which keeps many people fitting into a size small. The author of the study says the researchers “expected to find that these (very thin) people are really active”, but the study found “They had lower food intakes and lower activity, as well as surprisingly higher-than-expected resting metabolic rates”. Tony Palmucci se unió a Baton Rouge en 1991 y lanzó el álbum Lights Out on The Playground.

Stor poesi gav Scarface epitetet rapparnas favoritrappare. Andra och sista delen från 19/10 2003.

This interview - and if you are looking for Hi-Fi sound you came to the wrong place, it's a not-so-clear phone interview - is pretty much a monologue from Gene Simmons, who focuses far and wide on subjects such as sex being at the core of rock 'n' roll, why he thinks Morrissey lacks that energy, being a Jew, Jesus Christ, U2, money, and more. A Kissorama of an interview!

RUNAWAY paints a picture of a near future in which robots are a major part of everyday life but sometimes go haywire (or deadly), requiring Tom Selleck's special police team to right some wrongs. Here's the tagline:IT IS THE FUTURE. Machines are being programmed to turn against us. From that first Steeler album to recent releases like “South X South Dakota” and “Fight Like A Band,” Ron Keel’s 35-year career in entertainment has taken him from the concrete jungles of arena rock to the dirt roads of country music. Along the way, he has sold millions of albums and toured the world as both a heavy metal screamer (KEEL, Steeler, and a brief encounter with Black Sabbath) and a southern rock/outlaw country artist (with dozens of songs in major films and TV shows). For the past two decades, the Metal Cowboy has combined both genres, establishing a style and a persona which captures the heart and personality of this self-proclaimed rock n’ roll outlaw. Keel’s legendary major label debut album THE RIGHT TO ROCK was produced by KISS’ Gene Simmons – they went on to notch three albums on Billboard’s Hot 100 as well as MTV and radio hits “The Right To Rock,” “Because The Night,” “Tears Of Fire,” “Somebody’s Waiting,” and “Rock N Roll Outlaw.” Opening shows for Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Dio, Y&T, Queensryche and many more established a hard work ethic that remains strong today; the 2019/2020 World Tour included the Monsters Of Rock Cruise (Belize/Cozumel), Ron’s first-ever tour of Australia, the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, Italy, the KISS & Rock N Roll Expo in Helsinki, Finland, casinos, fairs and festivals stateside, KEELFEST (featuring Keel, Ron Keel Band and Steeler) plus major bike events like the Sturgis Rally and Hot Harley Nights. After nearly three years hosting the “Streets of Rock & Roll” rock-and-talk syndicated radio show, Keel was handpicked to join a dream team of Midwest rock radio royalty on KBAD 94.5 FM, where Ron’s “Mid-Day Mayhem” show skyrocketed to the top of the Neilson ratings for that region. He’s now back on the “Streets Of Rock N Roll” with weekly broadcasts on PureRockRadio.net, UncontrolledNoize.com, 97Underground, Philly Rock Radio and RockRageRadio.com. As a songwriter, Ron has dozens of TV and film credits – major movies like “Men In Black II,” “Dolphin Tale,” “The Messengers” and many more – and his songs have been featured in hit TV shows like “X-Files,” “Desperate Housewives,” “The Simpsons,” “King Of The Hill,” and the Daytona 500 broadcast. Ron Keel has worked hard to remain ahead of the curve, constantly re-inventing himself and evolving with the changes in the entertainment industry. In all the episodes I've had, I've yet to hear a guest talk about how easy it was to make their way to the top. In fact, many of them had their greatest epiphanies when staring down a bowl of Ramen noodles. So I faced Kevin Neff's new show, "Speaking of Success," with some trepidation. Is it going to be a sound bite of how Entrepreneur X took their company to $6B in 6 months? His answer is refreshing. Some of his guests aren't even "famous" at all. Or some tell stories of how they've fallen from grace to build success from the ashes. The best revelations are toward the end when Kevin offers some self-reflection on how he defines success for himself. On Branding: You'll find many pearls in this episode in Kevin's notorious in-your-face rapid-fire delivery. How do you not only GRAB their attention but KEEP their attention? "Your brand should punch people in the face. You're not a grain of sand on the beach, you're a grain of sand on all the beaches of the world." And thus begins our entry into the world of Kevin Makes Sense.com How he met Mark Shulman Kevin's no stranger to punching people in the face with his branding. An 8' tall banner attracted Mark Schulman - drummer for Pink, Beyonce, Cher, Billy Idol (among others,) to Kevin's booth at the National Speakers Association convention. The banner pictured an electric chair with "Don't Be a Dead Brand Walking - Give Your Marketing a Jolt" emblazoned on the front. He got the gig. Kevin continues,"Your brand should speak for you even if you're not in the room." His take on C-Suite Network CEO Jeffrey Hayzlett: We talked about our mutual experience interviewing Jeffrey Hayzlett; yes, you sit up straighter in your seat and you'd better be quick on your feet; Jeffrey doesn't suffer fools. Only Kevin Neff would be able to boldly ask about the gift Jeffrey Hayzlett received from KISS Gene Simmons. Take a listen to learn what it is (and yes, I laughed...) When did Kevin know when he was successful? It's easy to assume you gain success by garnering the spotlight, and grabbing it by results. For Kevin, there was a time where success was making it month-to-month. He talks about going from hero to zero overnight and went from 6 figures to nothing. This experience helped him re-define success, "Success is doing biz w/ people you wanna work with, do work you enjoy doing and getting results for clients and knowing they would refer and use us again." He still faults himself on caring TOO much about what others think. "People wear failure like a lapel pin, but failure can sometimes be part of the process. It's what comes out of the failure - Did you pick yourself up by the bootstraps?" One and Done - do it right the first time. We talked about setting plans in motion and dealing with doubt. "If this doesn't work, what's Plan B? There is no Plan B... Plan B means there's an iota of failure." For Kevin, he can't have a seed of doubt. He would be so distracted by that grain of sand of doubt, that it would take his time and focus away from Plan A. What you focus on grows - focus on doing it right the first time.
