Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast is back for our first episode of March, with Adnan and Adam (who is 'being held against his will') talking all things Don't Nod Entertainment, Deck Nine and, of course, Square Enix's Life Is Strange franchise. For this episode of StrangeCast, Adnan and Adam celebrate the sixth anniversary of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm's much-beloved Farewell DLC episode. The StrangeCast hosts also turn their attention to Jusant, which won Best Sound Design at the 2024 Pegasus. Additionally, Jusant received a nomination for New Intellectual Property at the BAFTA Games Awards. Adnan and Adam also sit down to discuss the French union SJTV and its allegations against Don't Nod over staff welfare, with the Life Is Strange developer also responding to the claims made. Speaking of Don't Nod, we also flag that Benoit Gisbert Mora has stepped down from his role as deputy general manager at the French-based developer and publisher. Finally, our main topic is none other than the sad news that Life Is Strange: True Colors studio Deck Nine has been forced to lay off some of its staff amid a brutal period for developers in the gaming industry. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
An all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast is here! In our final episode of February 2024, we talk about all things Life Is Strange, Don't Nod, Deck Nine and Square Enix. Just an FYI: we recorded this episode before the news of Deck Nine's layoffs! We'll cover that news in the next episode, but our hearts are with the people who were laid off.
Welcome back for an all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's Life Is Strange fan-made podcast StrangeCast is back with a very special interview, featuring none other than Rachel Amber herself, Kylie Brown! Unfortunately, Adam wasn't available for this episode, so Adnan is flying solo for this edition of StrangeCast. But Adnan was thrilled to sit down once again with Life Is Strange: Before the Storm star Kylie. Kylie tweeted out in August asking fans what their favourite Rachel scene is, so Adnan wanted to find out from the Before the Storm actor what 'help' she needed from the Life Is Strange fandom. Adnan also chats with Kylie about some of her favourite Rachel scenes, as well as her thoughts on AI in the industry and whether she considers herself as Gen Z, a millennial or a 'zillennial.' Kylie also shares an update on her life, including where she is up to in the world of acting and her current work as a personal trainer. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast is finally back but with an all-new theme and logo! It's the same Life Is Strange fan-made podcast that everyone loves, but we felt it was in need of a fresh lick of paint. A special thanks to our designer, Christine Forster, for the new logo, as well as StrangeCast co-host Adam Evalt for our incredible new theme song.
We're back with an almost two-hour-long episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast, a one-stop destination for all things Don't Nod Entertainment, Deck Nine, Square Enix and Life Is Strange. Adnan and Adam kick things off with Don't Nod Montreal studio creative director Michel Koch sharing new images from mocap. Our hosts talk about the four actors revealed for Montreal's IP, along with discussing new theories about the unannounced title. The StrangeCast hosts stick with Don't Nod and cover the news of Jusant getting a release date, while Studio Tolima revealed to us why Koira was announced early. Adnan and Adam also cover two anniversaries in this episode: Life Is Strange: Before the Storm and Tell Me Why were released six and three years ago respectively in August! We continue our ongoing coverage of The Expanse, with Adnan and Adam sharing their thoughts on Episode 3: First Ones and Episode 4: Impossible Objects. Finally, we can thank StrangeCast listener @JD54911 for our main topic. JD asked Adnan and Adam if they could add a scene to the Life Is Strange franchise, what would it be and why? StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
We've pushed back our Life Is Strange: Steph's Story review episode -- that's Adnan's fault, by the way -- so we've decided to visit a topic pitched by one of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast listeners, Jace! Jace asked us to rank every Life Is Strange: Before the Storm episode, including Farewell, and every Life Is Strange: True Colors chapter, including Wavelengths. We covered Before the Storm on our last podcast outing, so now it feels right for Adnan and Adam to turn their attention towards Deck Nine's True Colors! It's been pretty quiet on the news front when it comes to Square Enix, Don't Nod Entertainment, Deck Nine and Life Is Strange. So, with that said, there's no news segment for this episode. However, enjoy our feature-length main topic on True Colors -- and thanks again to Jace for the topic idea. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
We are BACK! Adnan and Adam are here with an all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast, featuring all things Square Enix, Don't Nod Entertainment, Deck Nine and, of course, Life Is Strange. The StrangeCast hosts kick off this episode with our only piece of news: Square Enix announced that Life Is Strange: True Colors has been nominated in the 'Immersive & Interactive' category at the Peabody Awards. For our main segment, we have to thank one of our listeners, Jace, for the topic suggestion! Adnan and Adam sit down for an in-depth chat on Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, with the duo ranking every episode released in Deck Nine's 2017 prequel. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
Adnan and Adam return in an all-new episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast, a one-stop podcast destination for all things Square Enix, Don't Nod Entertainment, Deck Nine and, of course, Life Is Strange. For this episode of StrangeCast -- and in our only news segment -- Adnan and Adam take a deep dive into Don't Nod's 'bold' 2023-2025 pipeline of releases, as well as the French developer and publisher 'ramping up' for its 'richest line-up' in history. Ahead of our main topic, Adam offers his early impressions of Life Is Strange: Steph's Story, the prose novel from Rosiee Thor which has been brought to life in audiobook form by none other than Life Is Strange: Before the Storm and True Colors star Katy Bentz! We'll be doing a full review of Steph's Story, hopefully, before the end of the month, so stay tuned for that episode of StrangeCast. Finally, Life Is Strange Episode 2: Out of Time's eight-year anniversary takes centre stage for the StrangeCast hosts' main segment for the episode. What did they like? What didn't they like? Has it aged well? Adnan and Adam look back on Episode 2: Out of Time following its anniversary in March. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.

Adnan and Adam kick things off with Don't Nod sharing details on 'Project 12,' a brand-new large-scale action RPG that is expected to arrive "beyond 2025." The StrangeCast hosts also discuss a report from Simply Wall Street that Don't Nod's shares could be '21 per cent below their intrinsic value estimate,' with Adnan asking Adam if he thinks the French developer and publisher could be a major player in the gaming industry in the future. Our final piece of news focuses on new footage from Telltale Games and Deck Nine's The Expanse: A Telltale Series being shown at IGN Fan Fest 2023. For the main topic, Adnan and Adam name their picks for Life Is Strange characters who should have had more on-screen time in the series. From Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange 2 to Life Is Strange: Before the Storm and Life Is Strange: True Colors, we take a deep dive into some of the memorable characters we've crossed paths with in the franchise. StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.

We have officially entered 2023, with Adnan and Adam returning for the first episode of Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast podcast this year. StrangeCast, our biweekly fan-made podcast, focuses on all things Deck Nine, Don't Nod, Square Enix and Life Is Strange. For our first episode of 2023, Adnan and Adam kick things off by talking about Life Is Strange: Before the Storm and True Colors star Katy Bentz returning as Steph Gingrich for the audiobook version of Rosiee Thor's Steph's Story. Our only other news topic for this episode has our StrangeCast hosts discussing Don't Nod's teaser video, with the French-based studio confirming that the Focus Entertainment-published Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden won't be the only title it will release in 2023! Following on from our previous episode with former Square Enix designer Alejandro Arque Gallardo, Adnan and Adam switch their full focus to Life Is Strange: Before the Storm developer Deck Nine. The StrangeCast hosts offer their thoughts on news outlets covering a lead programmer role at Deck Nine, with the Life Is Strange: True Colors studio looking for someone to work on "an unnamed AAA single-player adventure" title. Has the next Life Is Strange entered production? Is Deck Nine once again at the helm of the franchise? Is the lead programmer role connected with a new Life Is Strange title? We talk about all of the aforementioned questions -- and much more -- in this episode of StrangeCast! StrangeCast can be accessed on the following podcast services (among many others!) below.
Former Square Enix designer Alejandro Arque Gallardo, now of Supermassive Games, makes his debut on Player 1 vs The World's StrangeCast to talk all things Don't Nod, Deck Nine and, of course, Life Is Strange! God of War is only two days away and dominates the conversation. Chamberlain and Chance try to talk about other things, like Overwatch and Minit and getting kicked in the balls by the end of Life Is Strange Before the Store, but it’s no use. The Dad of War demands all of the attention, so much so that Alex is missing this week, working his fingers to the bone so he can afford to both eat and kill Norse monsters in incredibly graphic ways. Sacrifices must be made.
The crew discovers that Jeff Bezos is like evil anime. The best source for farm to table lewds is discussed. Paris Hilton speaks truth to power about Nintendogs. Rocky and Tegan call in to question Kim Kardashian's anime cred. Tegan and Brian rise up in Monster Hunter revolt. Sword Art Online, Fe, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, Celeste and the powers of cronch are all explored. Come along with us and learn about the butter dish.

A múlt héten hatalmas svunggal indult európai évadunkat rögtön meg is szakítjuk egy különkiadással, amelyben a Life Is Strange című 2015-ös videójátékról beszélünk. A játéknak épp a közelmúltban jelent meg az előzménye, a Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, ami jó apropónak tűnt, hogy végre mindketten bepótoljuk. Vendéget is hívtunk Moskát Anita író és szerkesztő személyében, akinek a Life Is Strange a megjelenése óta hatalmas kedvence. Mi a helyzet a játék befejezésével? Létezik helyes döntés? És mit árul el a műsorvezetők és a vendég lelkivilágáról?
