Rebecca George is our first repeat guest! She's here to share her new book, “You're Not Too Late,” which serves as a guide for those of us feeling the pressure to rush through life. In this conversation, we're tackling the misconceptions of the “prosperity gospel,” exploring how it can lead to burnout, disappointment, and a feeling of inadequacy. Listen in as we highlight that trusting in God's timing is not just a nice sentiment - it's the lifeline we need in a culture that values speed over substance. This episode is more than just a conversation; it's a heartfelt invitation to slow down, breathe, and trust that we are all exactly where we need to be in life.Episode HighlightsRebecca shares what breathing room looks and feels like for her and how that has changed since our conversation last year. The danger of the prosperity gospel lies in its pressure to constantly achieve more, which can lead to burnout and disappointment. Both joy and grief can coexist beautifully in our lives; it's all about recognizing that it's okay to feel multiple emotions at once.Intentional time-blocking is key to reclaiming your time and prioritizing what truly matters, whether it's self-care, family, or just some well-deserved downtime.Trusting God's timing when life feels like a hurry-up-and-wait situation is a skill worth cultivating; it's all about finding peace in the process.Resources MentionedYou're Not Too Late: Trusting God's Timing in a Hurry-Up World by Rebecca GeorgeDo the Thing: Gospel-Centered Goals, Gumption, and Grace for the Go-Getter Girl by Rebecca GeorgeRelated Episodes You Might Also LikeEP 2 - Slow Growth and Capacity with Mary MarantzEP 18 - Giving Yourself Grace Through Seasons of LifeEP 26 - Conquering Your Insecurities with Jenn SchultzEP 29 - Identity and Purpose with Chronic Pain and IllnessEP 40 - Pursuing Purpose with Rebecca George EP 41 - Are You Sleepwalking Through Life?Connect with RebeccaWebsite: www.radicalradiance.liveFacebook: @radicalradiancepodcastInstagram: @rebeccageorgeauthorBook Website: www.nottoolatebook.liveConnect with RachelWebsite: racheldbaker.comInstagram: @rachel.d.baker Email:

How restful are your weekends?Do you wake up on Saturday mornings planning to do your chores and errands first to get them over with, and then, before you know it, you get to Sunday and you realize you never stopped doing tasks? On Sunday night, you feel tense about starting a new week because you had zero time to rest and recharge. I have been there. Then, learning about Human Design, I discovered that the body's most powerful energy motor, the Sacral Center, turns on in response to opportunities that light you up. And I started to rethink how I use my free time for rest, switching up my priorities to focus on doing what feels good and restorative first, before doing anything else.We live in an anti-rest culture and are conditioned to pack our days full and to be productive 7 days of the week. But the good news is that there's a cultural pushback occurring. People are talking more and more about creating an anti-hustle culture. One that prioritizes well-being, really resting, and having more by doing less. This is a movement that is good for empathic highly sensitive people, giving more acceptance to the notion that resting doesn't mean weakness or laziness, but is instead an act of care and self-love, and an expression of how you value yourself and your physical and emotional health. And so in the latest episode of the podcast, I'm talking all about rest. You will learn…What Human Design teaches us about energy and restHow I define rest6 signs you need to restWhy it's essential to prioritize real rest to remain vital, especially right now2 types of rest and why you may need both25 ideas for restingI hope this episode will give you a nudge to rest in a way that works for you.View the Show Notes for this episode Links + Resources Mentioned in this EpisodeEpisode 3, How to Cope with Intense Situations as a Highly Sensitive PersonEpisode 4, How to Cope with your Feelings as a Highly Sensitive PersonEpisode 10, An Introduction to Human Design for Highly Sensitive PeopleEpisode 11, Got Empath Overload? Are you happy at work?Work has always felt like an important part of who I am. But, I've also felt like a mismatch for the world of work in terms of how it left me depleted. Perhaps you've felt this way too? If you're an empathetic person, the work that expands your energy may also contract and drain your energy.Even work environments that say self-care is important for employees, have workplace norms that make it more difficult to get what you need. Michael Losier joins us to talk about the Emotion Code as a powerful tool in unblocking any trapped negative emotions and physical pain so that you can have an empowered personal and professional life.Originating from the works of Dr. Bradley Nelson, the Emotion Code is the world's fastest and most effective method of energy psychology. Michael has found success with the Emotion Code when erasing his client's negative baggage, which causes health, emotional, relationship, and creativity problems.Michael also delves into how he discovered the power of the Emotion Code through his experiences and how he functions as the person's 'proxy' during Emotion Code sessions to find and delete the negative emotions on behalf of them.At the end of the episode, Michael demonstrates in real-time what an Emotion Code reading session is and its effectiveness. Moreover, he stresses that the goal in life is to feel good, which can be achieved through having a solid and positive vibration. In turn, this requires eradicating old negative vibrations to become more positive.Michael is a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner, incorporating this in his Mentor With Michael 8-week program. As highly sensitive people, we push ourselves hard to…Show up for other people even if we're worn out.Be good partners, parents, employees, daughters and sons.Get things done even when we really need to restGet out of our comfort zones to try new things. We're super conscientious, wanting to give our best to everyone and everything. To not let people down, even if it means sacrificing ourselves. Exhaustion and burnout are signs something needs to give. The messages about needing to hustle to “live the good life” have us all mixed up.But Human Design shows us how to get back on track and how physical energy is activated. We each have our own unique configuration for generating energy. In this episode, you will learn…What the 4 Human Design motor centers show us about physical energy and energy management What's really occurring if you're constantly feeling pressured by your to-do list and why you never feel like you get it all doneThe surprising thing Human Design shows us about willpower How living in alignment is key to tapping into energy How, if you have open motor centers, your perceptions of your energy and what you can accomplish may depend on who you're aroundHow to sustainably incorporate exercise and sleep into your lifeWe receive so much conditioning and so many messages about how we should live hard and play hard. We see how people around us race through life, rushing from one thing to the next, surviving on caffeine and skimping on sleep and we think that's how we should manage our energy too.My hope is that this information will give you a new understanding of yourself and your energy. And give you permission to create a life that gives you the space and time to rest and restore in the right way for you. One of the traits of being an HSP is being empathetic. And it's always struck me that empathy shows up differently in different people. And in varying degrees. My way of experiencing empathy may feel different than yours. When I discovered Human Design, I finally had a framework for understanding how we empathically experience other people. I knew the information I'm sharing in this podcast episode could lead to profound self-understanding for HSPs and empaths. When you know and understand how your empathic transmissions occur, you can lean into the strengths that come with them and use mindful awareness to reduce the emotional toll that comes from experiencing others so strongly. This episode is inspired by the questions I've received from HSPs. You are living and working led by your big caring hearts. On one hand, it feels so meaningful and important and is such an honor to understand others so deeply through your empathy. And on the other hand, taking in the energy of other people can make your own emotional load feel heavier and heavier. You may feel the quality of your own life evaporating. So in the latest podcast episode, you will discover:The 4 Centers in Human Design where you most powerfully take in the energy of others. The Center that's responsible for analysis paralysis that also shows you how to move past it.Strategies for reducing the emotional toll of being an empath. Why I abandoned my Instagram account. Why decisions are not meant to be made with your mind and what to do instead to tap into your inner knowing. My goal is always to share information that will empower you and help you see new possibilities for living a life of greater ease that lights you up, and my hope is that this information will begin to do just that.View the show notes for this episode Connect with MeSubscribe to my email newsletter to receive regular news from me and notification when a new episode goes liveConnect with me on Pinterest at Happy Highly Sensitive LifeIf you have a question for me about something you hear on this podcast or want to suggest a topic for a future episode, email me at questions@happyhighlysensitivelife.com

Being active children, practicing collective or individual sports, and realizing any kind of outdoor activity are things that impact massively on our overall health as adults. Our parents or caregivers can instill these activities in us, but there is also a socioeconomic factor since any sports activity outside the school system is paid for. In Vanessa Bogenholm's case, my guest today, she was raised by a family of readers, where the main family activity was sitting around a table and spend hours facing a book. Growing up, she was an incredibly overweight child; still, she didn't notice it until some girls pointed it out in 5th grade. That was the life she knew; that was normality for her. Joining us today is Vanessa Bogenholm; she is a Fitness Entrepreneur, a Personal Trainer specialized in weight loss, fitness, nutrition, and mobility. Vanessa is also an ultra-marathon runner and author of "It's Your Body: Move It, Love It, Live." In this episode, we go through Vanessa's experiences as an overweight child; we analyze the factors contributing to childhood obesity and how we can instill physical activities in our children. We explore some of the most common challenges people face that stop them from working out and the best ways to fight them. We also talk about habitual food habits, body acceptance, fat-shaming, and much more.Tune in to Episode 107 of Rejuvenaging, and discover how to live a healthier life without losing the small pleasures of life.
