Mikel started a Ruby on Rails consultancy in 2010 and is most well known for being the original author of Mail gem. He first got into programming working as a volunteer for a church where he built a Rails parishioner management system. This experience led him to create the Mail gem, which has really made him well-known in the community. He always like the idea of being able to control and create something, and this has definitely influenced his programming career. Martin Molin is a Grammis (Swedish Grammy)-nominated composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, inventor and engineer. He is a founding member of the band Wintergatan ("The Milky Way"), and the inventor/creator of the Wintegatan Marble Machine. The unveiling of the Marble Machine video quickly went viral, and has amassed more than 23 million views on youtube. Vi sänder från Göteborg där årets kulturkalas pågår. Festivalen som en gång förknippades med öltält men numera ser den kultursökande publiken som sin målgrupp. Regissören och skådespelaren Frida Röhl tog över Folkteatern för tre år sen. Hon beskrev då Göteborg som en äkta teaterstad och ett teaterliv som fanns nära rörelsen. Hur ser hon på det idag? Och vi tar en titt på teaterns senaste projekt - en musikal.På tisdagen fyllde electronicabandet Wintergatan hela Götaplatsen med en mastig spelning med ljusshow, trummor, gitarrer och synthar. I våras fick en youtubefilm om frontmannen Martin Molins hemmabygge av sin Marble Machine miljontals människor att fascineras. Var finns den nu och vad kom efter det? Martin Molin och Evelina Bäcklund kommer till programmet.Under kalaset uppträder en stor mängd kulturarbetare i både stora och små akter, en febrig aktivitet pågår under sex dagar från förmiddag till kväll. På YouTube kan du lära dig att lägga en eyeliner, sticka en tröja eller styla en hijab. I veckans Stil träffar vi fem olika aktörer som har gjort YouTube till sin kreativa plattform. Det var 2005 som denna webbplats öppnade under parollen Broadcast yourself. Idag har YouTube blivit en plats där man kan lära sig allt om det mesta. Där finns allt från kanaler för människor med små specialintressen till stora reklamplatser för några av världens största artister.Framgång på YouTube kan innebära ett rejält klirr i kassan. Att tjäna pengar på att vara en så kallad YouTuber har idag blivit ett nytt drömyrke för många, på samma sätt som många har haft drömmar om att bli artister eller fotbollsproffs.I veckans reportagebaserade program träffar vi fem personer som på olika sätt har nått framgång genom YouTube:Musikern Martin Molin blev världsberömd över en natt genom att spela på sin egenhändigt konstruerade Marble Machine. Maya Nielsen och Julia Dangs modekanal har på tre år vuxit sig så starkt att multinationella företag vill synas och nämnas i deras videor. Nu står de inför möjligheten att avbryta sina studier och satsa på att vara YouTubers på heltid. Thomas Sekelius är 18 år och spelar in sina videos, där han varvar sminktips med personliga berättelser, i föräldrahemmet i Växjö, men drömmer om att flytta till Stockholm eftersom det kommer bli lättare att arbeta som YouTuber där. Bland unga muslimska modeintresserade kvinnor har så kallade hijab tutorials blivit populära videor som visar hur hijabs kan bäras på oändligt många olika sätt. En av de största profilerna inom hijabmode är Dina Tokio från England. Hon har blivit känd som videobloggare över hela världen, från Kanada till Dubai. Vi pratar också med Edit Brunner från medieföretaget Splay, som har knutit till sig flera av Sveriges största YouTube-profiler och fungerar som en slags manager för dessa nya stjärnor.
Martin Molin berättar om karriären från start till idag om Wintergatans virala musikverk "Marble Machine", hur Yann Tiersen inspirerade till Detektivbyrån och hur det kändes när gruppen splittrades. Wintergatans "marble machine" kan beskrivas som en speldosa i jätteformat med 2000 små metallkulor som snurrar runt och skapar olika ljud. Den blev under våren en enorm Youtubesuccé med miljontals visningar. Min mejlkorg såg ut som matrix, medan jag svarade på ett mejl kom det tio till. Conan OBrien, Google, Instagram, Vimeo - alla de här företagen man inte ens tror har en mejladress skrev och frågade om vi inte kunde komma och spela. Men vi fick tacka nej till alla anbud. Maskinen funkar inte tillräckligt bra och ryms inte ens ut genom dörren.Martin Molin har också ett förflutet i den Grammisnominerade gruppen Detektivbyrån som han startade med sin bror Anders efter att ha hänförts av soundtracket till Amelie från Montmartre. Detektivbyrån splittrades dock 2010, hur kändes det uppbrottet? Det var fruktansvärt. Det var som att vi hade byggt upp ett jättefint, stort slott som plötsligt låg jämnat med marken och man gick runt där och rotade i skräpet. Men det födde också en fightingkänsla - jag vill tillbaka och få spela på Roskilde. Wintergatans första skiva kom mycket från den känslan av att gå runt i ruinerna.
