By the 1960s, organized crime gangs were well and truly already becoming a presence across the north of the United States, as underworld figures fought for sole control over highly lucrative gambling, illegal alcohol, and prostitution rings. Down south, things were done a slightly different way. But even though one criminal network in particular didn't have a strict code, this didn't make them any less dangerous. Based out of Biloxi, MI, they soon monopolized the control of many illicit activities across numerous states where big profits could be made, but only by those willing to be uncompromisingly ruthless. We're back, and it's that time of the year again! The 2021 WGOH?!? Best Tournament starts with Episode 93, and our subject this year is the world's top grossing movies of all time (adjusted for inflation). At the same time, we are reviewing drinks that sound like they might be gross (makes sense, right?). Andrew sampled Mississippi Mud, a 5% ABV, n/a IBU, black & tan (by Saranac Brewery), Sean sampled Digger, a 3.8% ABV, 20 IBU, Cherrystone clam and lemongrass pale ale (by Carton Brewing Company), and Tomo sampled Fortune's Fate, a 4.2% ABV, 8 IBU, oyster and lemon gose (by Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing). We went through our first round of brackets, opinions were had, and we are raring to do the next round of the Tournament. So, grab yourself some drinks, download the episode, and see if you agree with our picks! Cheers!

How it, sort of, screwed up the customer journey and hence, the customer experience.Let's learn from this and how we can ensure customers will keep coming back for our offering.

Welcome to another episode of Conversation on Tap! In this week's episode, Joel and Jose are joined by a local community organizer named Hazel Davalos. But before we spoke with her, we poured ourselves a few pints of Stockyard Oatmeal Stout, Danish Red Lager, and some more of that tasty Mississippi Mud. For their FRED Talks, Joel talked about the Redwood trees of California, while Jose continued his talks on the papcy. Once the show was underway, they spoke with Hazel about her work with CAUSE. The organization is focused on organizing members of the community, especially the disenfranchised, marginalized, and undocumented. Hazel also talked about the impact ICE has had on our community and how that has been an organizing force. But Hazel also talked a bit about how her faith has aligned with her organizing work. We were so glad to have her (and her one year old) join us on the show! As they wrapped up, Jose talked about the Netflix show Bobby Kennedy for President, while Joel talked about the article Lane Davis' Civil War-- and said that he enjoyed Mission Impossible: Fallout. Thank you so much for joining us this week! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We will see you next week! Cheers!

In this week's episode of Conversation on Tap, Joel and Jose got very upset about the Trump administration's policy of separating children from their parents at the border. But before we jumped into that controversial topic, we poured ourselves some delicious black and tan brew called Mississippi Mud. It's a delicious and drinkable brew, but we were disappointed to see that it was made in New York and not Mississippi. For our FRED Talk, Joel got very excited about sharing a Hawaiian drink called awa, which had a tongue-numbing effect on both Joel and Jose; Jose talked about the Catholic Church's stance on the LGBTQ+. Once Joel and Jose dived into the main topic, they talked about the trauma that separation has on children, which has been discussed by mental health professionals. They also raised the issue about how the separations echo the separations that occured during the Holocaust, especially when officials promised children that they were simply "going for a shower." Jose also challenged Attorney General Jeff Session's absurd argument that this policy was biblical. Overall, it was a difficult conversation to have, but one that was necessary. To wrap it up, Joel wanted to share an article about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who won a Congressional primary in New York, and Jose gave his review of the film Solo: A Star Wars Story. Joel is on vacation in Hawaii, so he will not be present for episode 16. Jose will be joined, instead, by a guest to discuss the horror film genre. Cheers!

Originally aired: June 2011 Pulitzer-prize winning author Ed Humes starts with skepticism, asks tough questions, and ends up delivering good news. Wal-Mart embraced an unprecedented green makeover, leveraging the power of 200 million weekly customers to reduce waste, toxics, and carbon emissions. Neither an act of charity nor an empty greenwash, Wal-Mart's move reflects a simple philosophy: that the most sustainable, clean, energy-efficient, and waste-free company will beat its competitors every time. EDWARD HUMES received the Pulitzer Prize for his journalism and numerous awards for his books. He's written for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Esquire. M*A*S*H Today we cover Season 3, Episode #1 - The General Flipped at Dawn 49th Episode Overall Directed by Larry Gelbart Written by Jim Fritzell & Everett Greenbaum Production code B308 Original air date September 10, 1974 Set during the Korean War in the 1950’s Plot Summary: An inspection by the strict Major General Bartford Hamilton Steele puts the 4077th on edge. The final straw comes when he orders the unit to move the camp closer to the front to be more economical and to show that a M*A*S*H unit should be mobile. On an inspection tour of the new site with Blake and Burns, Steele orders Blake to follow general military protocol in saluting him, contradicting the specific protocol not to do so when in sight of the enemy. They are promptly shot at by snipers. Steele gives Blake and Burns a choice between fighting or having lunch (Blake and Burns choose lunch). When Hawkeye sends a chopper off with a patient instead of letting the general use it to scout the new site, Steele calls for a court martial for Pierce and Blake. When Steele asks the African-American chopper pilot for a musical number and then demonstrates by dancing around singing Mississippi Mud, the Army hurriedly closes the court-martial, and Steele is sent back to the United States, where he is promoted to Lieutenant General and placed in charge of Northeast Asia.
