When your message is seen and heard by the right people, it will grow your businessJessica Rhodes is the Founder of Interview Connections, a pioneering podcast guest booking agency, author, and podcaster. She wanted to build a life she wanted and she left a successful career in the non-profit to become a stay-at-home mom. Jessica has built Interview Connections into a nearly seven-figure business and has now booked over 30,000 podcast interviews for more than 800 clients.Podcast guesting is a human-to-human relationship-building strategy, where entrepreneurs show up authentically and with presence, making a genuine connection with podcast hosts. Podcast guesting for online entrepreneurs is very important, especially for women entrepreneurs who want to expand their networks, build thought leadership, and attract ideal clients. She discusses how podcast guesting can help businesses gain visibility, make connections, and drive sales. Jessica initially worked with podcast hosts to book guests but later shifted to focusing on helping entrepreneurs become successful podcast guests due to demand. She stresses the importance of being mindful and present during podcast interviews, having good preparation, and taking action rather than waiting for everything to be perfect. You will fall in love with your voice with time! Women need to stop over-preparing and start taking action in sharing their message. It is important to see how men take immediate action while women often wait until they feel fully qualified. It is time to take action, be visible, and embrace the messiness of the journey!Snow Notes:▶️ Jessica started working on podcasts as a stay-at-home mom: her dad was her first client. 04:19
Welcome to this episode of How to Podcast for Business an Introduction. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Today's episode is all about planning. Being prepared when starting or launching your podcast is key. It's like anything else you do in business. Rarely would you just dive in without some preparation we've already discussed having a clear idea of exactly what your business podcast is about, but what does it aim to solve for your listener? Will it make their business better? Will it solve a pain point? How is it different to other podcasts on the same subject? Is yours plain English and easy to understand. Is it actionable information? Is it broken into bite-sized, easy, digestible stages for your listener? Don't lose sight of the aim. I want to help people plan and produce their own business. Podcast, for example, think about podcasts you like and why you like, Are they short and sweet? Are they in depth information?Do they educate and inform? Do they give away lots of advice and tips? Are they solo pods or interview style? looking in depth and listening to what you like will make it easier for you. When you're planning your own podcast, follow the format of what you listen to if you like. Think about their length, their guest, their tone of voice, what did you take away from listening to it? Was it a value? These are the things your listener will be thinking about when choosing your podcast or indeed whether to subscribe once they've listened to it. In previous episodes, we've discussed your avatar, the perfect listener for your podcast, your target market, for your business. Essentially, let's revisit it in the planning pre-production stage. So that we can be clear who you are talking to.This is key. When planning each episode, always have that avatar at the top of your mind, you are speaking to them. Think about your business marketing strategy. Who do you want to speak to, who you are already speaking to. They could be already in your database of current clients. What do they struggle with? Could you help them to solve a problem?Remember that if you have a database of current or previous clients, these are your potential listeners and buyers of your product or service. So let's be clear on who you're speaking to, what you are telling them, and why you should now have planned the what and why.In the next episode, we talk about howSend us a textSupport the showProduced by https://voiceitpodcastagency.co.uk

Send us a Text Message. What is a Podcast? In this episode we look at what exactly IS a Podcast and where did they come from?SIMPLY …A Podcast is really just a recorded audio file, edited into a listenable package for you to listen to. You can download and listen to episodes or little clips of interviews, stories, which are now episodes in people's podcasts.Where did the name come from:While podcasting has been around for a long-time they were audio-blogs in the 80s and remarkably, the term itself, has only been around since 2004. The word “Podcast” is mix of “iPod” and “broadcast”.The earliest use of “podcasting” was traced to The Guardian columnist and BBC journalist Ben Hammersley, who invented it in early February 2004 while writing an article for The Guardian newspaper”.Podcasts are basically like online radio shows that can be downloaded, subscribed to, emailed to clients and re-purposed in numerous ways for your social media platforms. When used effectively they can be a powerful marketing tool for any business. They are now very much part of Digital Marketing Strategies.Potential clients/customers are looking for you through search engines, with key word searches, via directories and they're watching your social media and not only that .. you can engage current clients by changing your monthly newsletter or any update you want to email out… into a monthly podcast!A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to, or download.Search online and you'll find a range of Podcasts available on nearly every topic imaginable. They range from business, entertainment, education and everywhere in between (you could create a Podcast of your training!).A podcast can be used in a few ways: as a simple download that you can use on your website, social media or to directly emailed to your mailing list, or it can be subscribed to, and then new content is automatically delivered to the subscriber if you have hosted your podcast on one of numerous platforms out there (Spotify & Apple for example). Subscribing is usually FREE!A podcast show consists of a series of individual episodes that you can listen to on-line or via your mobile device whenever and wherever you want (walking the dog, in your car, cooking, whilst working on other things or even at the gym)People use podcasts for all different reasons. Yours might be to educate, to inform, to tell a story.Podcasts are now out there. Remember, there was a time you jumped in the car and all you could do is listen to your local radio station. Now we plug in our smartphones and we can listen to audiobooks radio stations and podcasts. We can listen to whatever we want, wherever we want. And your clients, your customers, your potential clients, potential customers, and your staff for internal communication, can all listen to your business podcast too… So that's an overview of what podcasting is.. want to find out more - go to my website:Support the Show.https://voiceitpodcastagency.co.uk

Aligning your podcast with your business goals is crucial for success, which means you need to set clear podcast goals, choose the right format to achieve those goals, and understand industry best practices.Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a conversation that I had with Beate Chelette, the Growth Architect. She's a business strategist and podcast host who provides visionaries and leaders with strategies to grow their authority so they can scale their impact.Beate and I are talking about changes in the entrepreneurial landscape, having a good understanding of what's going on in your industry and making decisions accordingly, and a good deep dive into the good, the bad, and the terribly ugly of different podcast strategies that we have run across over the years of being in this industry. So we're operating from the same foundation: podcasts can be leveraged within a business in a way that serves the business itself, listeners, and everyone else involved with the project. More importantly we want to know what part we can play to make things right; “not a do-over but a do-better” as Charlene says. Charlene Norman believes the best place to begin is with humans. And since humans drive business, educating and showcasing their successful business efforts is the quickest way to a better future.COVID gave us a look at ways of doing things differently. Imagine what could happen if businesses made their decisions for the greater good; in other words Compassionate Capitalism. Imagine the positive possibilities and impact on all areas of life – not just business - by re-imagining a new world we could all unearth.I know from years of experience that Charlene keeps it real. She gears her podcast topics to the average layperson in easily understood language with inexpensive ideas and approaches. Easy things we can all do.Jump in now to catch up with about 2 hours of listening on foundational topics: (1) the history of how we got here, (2) the world actually recognizing the reality of Climate Change, and (3) three excellent examples of companies already involved in a more human form of capitalism. On deck, Charlene offers user-friendly benchmarks and measurements, effective change initiatives to over-come resistance, and the impact of world religions. If you are even a bit curious to learn and join Exploring Compassionate Capitalism listeners you can sign up to receive a new episode every Saturday morning at 6AM EST. When it comes to having the best experience with borrowing money for a home, the most important part of the formula is knowing the math and the facts. Todd Gydesen, Mortgage Broker with Vantage Mortgage Brokers, has the longevity and methods to help you make the right decisions. In today's world having experts who have lived through much tougher times is the only way to go. Sit back, listen, and learn from these well-seasoned professionals in this week's episode of The Portland is Home Team Talk Real Estate, (and Mortgages!) Here are some helpful tips to get you started:Tip 1: Get quotes from multiple lendersIt's recommended that you visit three to five lenders and discuss your mortgage options. Tip 2: Consider all types of lendersObtain estimates from loan officers at banks and credit unions, as well as mortgage brokers and non-bank lenders.Tip 3: Compare loans on the same dayBecause mortgage rates change frequently, it's best to compare loan programs on the same day so that you can accurately judge cost estimates from several lenders.Tip 4: Shop for a loan within a 45-day periodTry to do your mortgage shopping within a 45-day period so that there's minimal effect on your credit. Multiple credit inquiries outside a 45-day period could lower your credit score.Tip 5: Compare all loan terms, not only the mortgage rateThe loan with the lowest mortgage rate may not always be the best choice for you. Rates are important, but you should also consider the overall cost of the loan.Be sure to look at the mortgage term, which is the duration of the mortgage, and the associated costs of financing, such as:The APR for the loan.Lender application fees.Processing or loan origination fees.Closing costs (also known as settlement fees). For each lender you work with, ask for an itemized summary of estimated fees. This should help you understand costs and compare mortgage options. After you've submitted an application, the lender is required to provide you with a Loan Estimate that includes the terms of your loan and all estimated costs, plus your APR, finance charges and payment schedule.Tip 6: Ask questions if you don't understand loan featuresAsk the lender to fully explain the loan program that is being offered to you if you don't understand all its features. To help you weigh the pros and cons of your mortgage options, consider working with a housing counseling agency. A HUD-certified housing counselor can be an objective advisor and guide you in considering lenders and mortgage options.Vantage Mortgage Group, Inc.DBA Vantage Mortgage Brokers17040 Pilkington Rd Ste 300Lake Oswego, OR 97035Serving Oregon and Washington.503-496-0431

In today's episode, we are chatting with marketing coach, podcast host, soon-to-be author, and motivational speaker, Hayley Luckadoo! Hayley's number one tip for marketing yourself, your messaging, and your content? Own your weird. You will find your people, your community, and those you can serve best by showing up as yourself, fully and truly. And those quirks, your energy, your oddballness is what will set you apart. Don't be afraid, but rather, be unapologetic about being you! Hayley never meant to be an entrepreneur (like so many!), but finding herself in her early 20's suddenly without a fiancee, a university degree, and no concrete idea of what to do next, she launched herself forward into the wedding planning business and has massively evolved into a multi-passionate entrepreneur, with what seems like dozens of hats in the air. She talks powerfully about building and growing community, and the critical importance of building an authentic community of people. Hayley also speaks about embracing your “yet”, meaning embracing today, recognizing the growth you have made and realizing that just because you haven't achieved everything you want right now, it's just not here yet. Listen in for the following: The value of investing in yourself, and finding great mentors and coaches to help you along your way! How to market your energy to find your authentic audience, and the benefits that both you and your community will reap from this type of relationship. Learning about how choosing the path of least resistance to get you to your dreams is usually the best way forward. Find a quiet place for the next hour and take a deep breath because today's episode with Mindset Coach for Mom-preneurs, Carina Groombridge, covers a wide variety of inspirational topics! Most importantly, we dive deep into how your thoughts and feelings create your results. Yes. Read that again. Your thoughts and feelings create your results and instead of forcing an action over and over again without the results you want to achieve, you'll actually get there by shifting your mindset instead. Coming from the corporate world, Carina never really imagined herself as an entrepreneur, but while raising her family, she realized that she wasn't loving what she was doing AND she wasn't finding the freedom and flexibility that she was craving. It was time to make a change and now Carina is living the life she had been dreaming of, helping moms create and find business success. Some of her sound advice: Do what you love. End of story. If you are doing what you love, you can build what you enjoy. Carina works to achieve this by being deliberate in how she speaks to herself and the conversations she has in her brain, which are the most critical actions one can take. Curious to learn more? Listen in for the following: Concrete strategies for creating content, and also - do what is fun and makes you feel good! Knowing what your resistance points are in the work you do, and how you can approach them differently so they become pleasure points rather than pain points. Make it easy for yourself. That's what inspired her to create Kitcaster, a unique agency with a singular focus – podcasts. Podcasts have become so much more than just an entertainment medium. To Brandy, they're a critical component of any PR campaign. Startup founders, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives. These are the movers and shakers whose stories Kitcaster helps share. Things are staying HOT in the Portland area and we're not talking the weather; well, the weather is hot, but the market is hotter. Audra and Andrew have the latest market information to help you make decisions and plan for a future in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Plus, they discuss incredible and accessible day trips and fun resorts to check out just a few hours from Portland. And if you have any questions they did not answer or ideas for a future podcast, shoot them a line at audra@portlandishome.com. And check out LISTINGS Realty Works Group Audra's Newsletter:Honestly, I can't believe we are in August already. Even though we have had a great summer so far, it seems that this month really snuck up on me. Am I alone in this? We haven't travelled anywhere on a plane or gone on a long RV vacation...I just feel that summer is going too fast! The sellers' market is still also fast! While we are reading and hearing reports of a leveling out, we are still seeing limited homes hit the market and multiple bidding situations. Selling a home is also an emotional roller coaster for most. Leaving a home, you have lived in for a while or a long while, finding another home, packing and unpacking...it is a lot. And we understand that so much! Years ago, I had my mom selling her home, and I was unabashedly vocal about making sure she was treated well. It became our mantra with our brokerage. Whether you're buying or selling a $100,000 home or a $2,000,000 home, our service is the same. We pride ourselves on our extreme attention to detail: walking through EVERY home before picture day to make sure every single wire is tucked away, adding pillows, wiping down counters and weeding outside. When you sell your home, we take pride in our work and making your home look its best on picture day. And this market remains great time to sell, so please reach out if you or someone you know is considering a move. We are here for you and we love what we get to do! Now, go enjoy summer a little more!! Want your own Podcast Show for your business? Reach out to michelle@modcastproductions.com

Should small businesses start a podcast? Absolutely! If you know and understand your business foundations, a podcast can help expand your reach. Welcome to Should I Start A Podcast. I'm Ronsley Vaz. Each week you'll hear me, and a star-studded guest lineup, dig deep into the podcasting process. We'll bring you tactics, tips and tricks to use in your own podcasting journey. We'll teach you how to build an audience. And we'll show you how to keep them coming back, show after show. So if you want to start a podcast, or expand your current audience, this is the show for you. In this episode, we're bringing you a portion of my interview on The Morning Kick podcast. Andrew Pitchford and I break down podcasting in the business world. And he asks me some pretty good questions about what does and doesn't work for business-minded listeners. If you've listened to this show before, then you know my story. But if not, this interview is a good overview of what I do and how I got here. Andrew asks me about Bond Appetit, a podcast I was able to generate a 1.5 million listener base for in about 4.5 months. I don't tell you about this to brag, but as an example of how quickly success can come in the podcasting world. But yes, I'm aware that this isn't the average result. In fact, many podcasts don't even make it past their first episode. I don't want either of these extremes to encourage or discourage you, just to make you aware of the reality of podcasting. Andrew and I also chat about what kind of businesses benefit from podcasts. And we focus on the things you need to be clear on before starting your show. This is an eye-opening conversation for those of you who may be doubting the impact a podcast would have on your business or brand. Other helpful information in this episode: My backstory into podcasting The success of Bond Appetit The grim statistics of new podcasts The boxes you need to check in your business before starting a podcast Should you nurture your current customers or generate new leads?
