Welcome to another episode of Talk'n TRM: The Traveller Files, where we unravel the tales of business travel and reflect on the lessons learned. In James Kington's final story of the year, he takes us on a suspenseful border-crossing journey between Russia and Kazakhstan in the heart of winter. As James recounts his experience flying into Russia, only to embark on a midnight mini-bus journey to Kazakhstan, the tension builds at the border. Confronted by a stern figure armed with a machine gun, James finds himself in a nerve-wracking situation as his passport is taken away, leaving him in uncertainty in the middle of the night. Our host, Bex Deadman, reflects on the psychological impact of such border-crossing scenarios. Bex highlights how, in James's case, the unfamiliar process triggered panic, emphasising the importance of communication and knowledge-sharing among staff who have experienced similar trips. Had there been a prior exchange of information, James might have navigated the situation with greater ease. The episode delves into the significance of peer-to-peer knowledge transfer within organisations, especially when it comes to unique travel experiences. Bex explores how sharing insights and tips can alleviate anxiety and uncertainty, fostering a more informed and resilient community of business travellers. Join us for another episode of Talk'n TRM: The Traveller Files, where each tale is a lesson, and every journey is a risk worth exploring.    If you wish to share your own travel story anonymously,  please contact Bex at bex@8phaseconsulting.com.   8Phase Consulting - https://8phaseconsulting.com/ Bex Deadman Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/bex-deadman-aka-travel-risk-bex-70b92419/ Clemark Studios - https://www.clemarkgroup.com/studio/ Assent Risk Management - www.assentriskmanagement.co.uk

Fabi Lara, Founder and Publisher of The Next Big Rush, joins me to dig in to the major demand drivers and supply disruption news that is underpinning a longer-term bull market for nuclear power and uranium mining.   We then pivot over to a comprehensive review of the opportunities in producers, developers, and explorers in the US and Canada.   This is a longer-format discussion where we get into the increased taxes in Kazakstan which will discourage any large increases in production, the unstable politics in Niger, the Australian ban on the Jabiluka uranium deposit blocking Energy Resources of Australia and Rio Tinto (RIO) from bringing that supply online and it all points to much more constrained output from uranium producers.   Then we devolve into all the increasing demand in more countries committing to expand nuclear power, and the role that small modular reactors could have in powering AI data centers and manufacturing or in phasing out coal plants as another demand driver.   We do then have a very nuanced conversation about a number of different uranium stocks throughout the conversation including:  Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ), Kazataprom, Global Atomic (TSX: GLO) (OTCQX: GLATF),  Paladin Energy (ASX: PDN) (OTCQX: PALAF),  Fission Uranium (TSX: FCU) (OTCQX: FCUUF),  NexGen Energy (TSX: NXE) (NYSE: NXE), F3 Uranium (TSXV: FUU) (OTCQB: FUUFF) , Denison Mines (TSX: DML) (NYSE: DNN), enCore Energy (NASDAQ: EU) (TSX.V: EU),  Energy Fuels (NYSE: UUUU) (TSX: EFR), Skyharbour Resources (TSX.V: SYH) (OTCQX:SYHBF), Myriad Uranium Corp. In the middle of the biggest weekend of Motorsport, we had a Catalan Grand Prix in MotoGP to take care of, and with it, we had an erratic weekend from race winner Pecco Bagnaia, who crashed out embarassingly from the lead in the final lap of the Sprint, only to come back and take control of the Grand Prix. Find out how he bullied Jorge Martin into second on the show. There's also more Marc Marquez talk, as he had to make two more furious comebacks from 14th on the grid, as he took that spot to second in the Sprint and third in the GP. Is the qualifying becoming a problem for MM93 though? We also talk about Aleix Espargaro announcing his retirement over the weekend too, and talk about how the last rider of the 800cc era became one of the best riders in the world and an ambassador for the grid. Also, there's calendar news too as Kazakstan takes India's spot on the calendar as 2024 as Buddh likely moves to 2025, and Repsol and Honda breaking up after nearly 30 years together. He once controlled the entire economy of the country—to put it simply. The man in the restaurant security footage is an ex minister of Kazakstan, the third most powerful person in the entire country.    His name is Kuandyk Bishimbaev and his wife, Sultanat Nukenova, were supposed to be on a dinner date; instead the security cameras capture something else.   Around 7 in the morning, the ex minister grabs his wife by a fistful of her hair and throws her onto the ground in the hallway.   Her jacket naturally flips open – and she's naked, barely covered on the cold dirty floor of the restaurant. He's standing over his wife's limp body on the ground. The ex minister lifts his right leg up and starts kicking his wife as hard as he can. He's holding onto a table to maintain his own balance.    That's how much force is being used.   Then he drags her by the hair into a bathroom – where there are no CCTV cameras. Any footage of her after that has been erased.   But the ex-minister is seen many times after on the security footage. Spending time with other women – a lunch date with an influencer, texting an alleged sex worker, all while his wife lay dying in the VIP booth of the restaurant.    His excuse for why he couldn't call for help or get his wife's battered body out of the restaurant? Well—because— Vladimir Putin is coming.  Full Source Notes: rottenmangopodcast.com To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.

If there was one thing you think society should talk more about, what would it be?“I want to talk about the purpose and value of higher education in this day and age;- how universities are redesigning their education, how I see the near and far future of higher ed and what AI can do for our education.”Lilia Mantai is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Sydney Business School. She is an educationalist with experience in learning design and curriculum development. Her job is to make sure that Business programs deliver relevant skills and learning outcomes. Until recently her research concerned academic development and career progression, PhD training, and graduate skills. Now, with the surge of AI and its proliferation in the higher education sector, particularly this year since chatGPT came into our lives, she is interested in what sort of AI skills we need to develop at university today to prepare our students for tomorrow. She thinks about how AI can help us do better education, how education needs to change, and what higher education might look like in the future.Born in Kazakstan and raised in Russia and Germany, Lilia describes herself as ‘endlessly curious'. After finishing high school in his native Australia, Angus Neaves devised the ultimate gap year plan: a 9,000-mile solo bikepacking trip from Mongolia to Scotland. After seven months and 16 countries, he finally completed the journey this week and joined Payson to talk about it. From the hospitality he found in Kazakstan to an impromptu trip to Gravel Worlds in Italy and a detour to Berlin for the museums, Angus found unexpected highlights along the way, in addition to some low points. He was held up at the border to Azerbaijan, had some run-ins with dogs in rural Turkey, and broke two phones, but throughout the ups and downs, he had plenty of time to reflect on friendship, connection, and his future. He tells Payson about why he decided to travel across the world for such an epic journey, what he's learned from the experience, and why Albania was his favorite country to visit. Live from the Heart of America—I'm Steve Gruber— Your Soldier of Truth—the Tip of the Spear against socialists—here ready to fight for you from the Foxhole of Freedom—AND—REMEMBER TO THINK while its still legal—this is the Steve Gruber Show—   Here are 3 big things you need to know right now—   Number One— The Mayor of Tampa went fishing and hooked into more than $1.1 million dollars—BUT it was all cocaine—so that isn't worth a nickel—   Number Two— In a major red flag moment—China is sliding into deflation—and that could signal a major problem for the Global economy at a time when our numbers are not very good either—   Number Three— The latest poll from Reuters yesterday puts Joe Bidens approval rating at a meager 41%-- and its not likely to improve anytime soon—and that is because people are starting to get a steady diet of the Biden family schemes and systemic corruption that has enriched several members of the clan—and gives the clear appearance of selling out America at the same time—   The latest revelations revealed by the New York Post shows a whopping $20 million dollars that flowed in to the Bidens—by way of shell companies and bank maneuvers—and Hunter was facilitating it all it appears—   The cash, according to the reporting flowed in from all sorts of places including Russia, Kazakstan and Ukraine—and some of those sending money the Biden's way—had dinner and other conversations with the current Commander in Chief—   Yes folks—this is the biggest scandal in American political history—except for possibly the assassination of JFK in 1963—but this political scandal is quickly becoming a 4-alarm fire—   The latest revelations all come from newly identified bank records—and the payments are also flagged coming from China and the CCP plus Romania too—and who knows how many more countries will show up on the list, now that the lid is off and light is shining in—   And what did that $20 million dollars buy exactly? Well it bought exactly what you would think—access to then Vice President Biden—or has Devon Archer called it in closed door hearings last week—The Brand—and the Brand was always Joe Biden—who could wield influence inside the Obama White House—   But when asked point blank Wednesday—Joe Biden bristled—    Well I certainly believe him now, don't you? I mean if Joe says there is nothing to see—well by gosh we should just take that to the bank—just like Hunter took tens of millions of dollars in bribes to the bank on behalf of dad and the rest of the family—   And trust me this scandal is going to continue to grow and expand—BUT it is by no means the only thing that has this President fighting not for his political future and a second term come next year—this has him in a fight just to remain in office until next November and the Presidential Election—   In fact it just seems to be one misstep after another anymore with this President—who looks older and less competent by the day—and everyone is taking notice of the decline, the anger and the inability to find his way off any stage after giving incoherent remarks—or delivering comments with the ultimate creepy whispering voice—   So lets continue—   That of course never happened—BUT it gives you the clear indication that the idea of Climate Lockdowns that I have been brilliantly warning you about for a very long time now—seem to be under discussion—why else would he blurt out that he already declared a Climate Emergency? The best answer is because it has been discussed—and discussed in detail several times—   Joey was making these comments after granting an interview to the world renowned news outlet at the Weather Channel—because that is where you go for hard hitting journalism—BUT even in this friendly venue—Old Joe continued to struggle—   I mean what do you tell the young people that you promised you'd end all modern advancements and take America back to the Dark Ages if elected—that you would destroy fossil fuel and American energy independence—if only they would vote for you—you could ensure disaster for the nation—and they all bought into the socialist stupidity—BUT Joey—what happened? But hey—everyone can afford it right? I mean with Bidenomics every single American can afford to replace all their major appliances in the name of saving the planet—and putting on tens of thousands of dollars of solar panels—all made in China in the name of the Green New Deal should be a no brainer right Joey?   So now you know why Joe Biden is the least popular President in modern history—and why his numbers continue to collapse and the Democrat Party is in full on panic—because if Joe fails that's bad—BUT is Kamala Harris is ever sworn in as President—it is a nightmare scenario for the party—because they cannot go after her—I mean they can primary her—at the substantial risk of alienating every single black voter they have—and that danger is very real—   But I digress-- While Joey is still here eating Ice Cream and floundering around trying to read the prompter—there are many other concerns—that are destroying any support he still has in this country—   Yeah, sorry but Bidenomics is a terrible failure because it is a terrible set of policies and everyone damn well knows it—   And again—these are all just adding up—how about we look at 7 million illegals coming in since he began having cookes and milk in the White House—   And the border in some once reliable Democrat precints is really taking a toll—   These people are not impressed one little bit by the flood of people forcing their kids to take a back seat— But don't you worry—because when its all said and done—Joey has a plan for America—and really big plan—
