Radical acceptance is about fully acknowledging and accepting reality as it is, especially when it's something we don't like or want to change. This approach, popularized by Dr. Marsha Linehan as part of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), encourages us to embrace what we can't control instead of resisting it. Many of my clients have issues today that relate back to being neglected as kids, but they've never realized that what happened to them was neglect. Mental health issues come in all shapes and sizes, which means that mental health treatment needs to do the same. I've long been a fan of holistic approaches which take into account the treatment of the whole person, not just specific symptoms. Because so many of us come from dysfunctional families, it can be hard to know if we're in a healthy relationship or just repeating the screwed up stuff we saw growing up with that seemed normal because it's all we knew. Why do relationships fail? When I ask people, “What's the biggest issue in your relationship?” they almost always answer, “We don't communicate.” That's wrong (yes, I said it). You messed up, or at least you think you did. Maybe it was a job you quit in the heat of the moment, not finishing your education ten years ago or cheating on your spouse. We can perceive big or little things as crimes that need to be punished in perpetuity. Many of us can easily forgive others, but when it comes to forgiving ourselves, we're not so generous. But learning to forgive ourselves is crucial to creating balanced, healthy relationships with others as well as leading a life of serenity and satisfaction. Forgiving yourself won't change your past, but it will absolutely make your future brighter. Na jeho prodejnách to žije - pořádají se tam třeba divadla, grilovačky a další akce. Co Peter doporučuje ostatním obchodníkům? Na Footshopu je zajímavá nejen jeho velikost, ale i šíře sortimentu. Už dávno v něm totiž nenajdete jen boty, ale i hodinky, trička, sluchátka a další produkty, které se úplně vymykají původnímu zaměření e-shopu. Proč to Peter dovolil, co tím sleduje a kdy by doporučil i vám rozšířit sortiment? Další zajímavostí je způsob, jak Footshop svůj sortiment získává. Fashion brands continue to seek new ways in which they can harness the power of social media. With connected consumers driving the so called "selfie-culture" yet hesitant to engage with their favorite companies and brands outside of "liking" a brand's Facebook or Twitter account, companies must expand outside of trending hashtags and create lucrative sales channels on social media.
