We're on the verge of the second season of HBO's The Last of Us, and yet new questions percolate about whether we'll ever see another game in Naughty Dog's vaunted series. In a recent interview, Neil Druckmann told fans "don't bet on there being more," which is both alluringly ominous and obviously vague. That's good news for us, though, since it gives us plenty to discuss. Do we need more? Do we want more? Should we get more? Plus: Rumors are ramping up about one-time Xbox titan Gears of War migrating to PlayStation 5 later this year, while details related to Firesprite's cancelled Twisted Metal project have leaked. Also: PlayStation 2 turns 25 years old in Japan, Until Dawn Remake studio Ballistic Moon goes belly-up, a key Bungie designer joins Guerrilla, Monster Hunter Wilds smashes Capcom sales records, and more. Finally: Listener inquiries! Is it possible that Grand Theft Auto VI fails to meet either critical or commercial expectations, or perhaps both? What are our reflections on PS5 Pro now that we've had our own for some months? Should Canadians stop buying games from American publishers and developers in retaliation of US tariffs? Will Colin ever forgive his brother for continuously referring to himself as "The Dagster"? Ever considered swapping a candlelit dinner for a dimly lit chapel in the middle of nowhere? This pair of adventurous romantics sure did. In this eerie escapade, our lovebirds waltzed straight into a house of worship that apparently forgot to post its “Closed for Hauntings” sign. Squeaking doors, busted stained-glass, and something decidedly unholy in the choir loft—talk about ambiance! Slip on your rubber boots and grab some holy water because we're about to explore how far curiosity and a flashlight can take you before the spirits decide to crash the date. With over 25 years of leadership experience, I bring positive energy, creative thinking, and professionalism to all initiatives. I genuinely care about people and enjoy serving others to maximize leadership development, team cohesiveness and organizational growth. The most important people in my life are God, my wife of 23 years, and two daughters. Our oldest daughter, Sara, is a nineteen year-old junior studying at New York University (NYU). Our youngest, Siri, joined our family through adoption 14 years ago from Thailand. Siri is 17 years old now and has been one of our greatest teachers due to the severity of her special needs. My current workload includes managing three main arenas. I enjoy running my own business as an executive leadership coach, youth pastor, and basketball coach.

Squeaking Wheels of Comans Well, Sussex, Virginia by Hugh MayesGod calls people to be in His service. In 1592, one of my great-grandfathers was ordained a priest of the Church of England and later became the pastor of the Pilgrims in Holland. In 1773, another Great-grandfather was instrumental in building Sappony Baptist Church. I was ordained there in 1979.God is an awesome God who wants a relationship with you through His Son Jesus. Our lives may not be perfect, but God directs our path if we follow His directions in His Word, the Bible, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I am thankful that the God of the universe cares enough for me to know me by name and knows where I am in a little village in Virginia, USA, not big enough to be on the map.Hugh Mayes was born in 1948, the fourth child of Lewis and Elaine Mayes and the "squeakiest wheel of all." He is a pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in Carson, Virginia, and was a computer operations supervisor. He had a lung collapse at an early age that bled internally until he went into blood pressure shock at the age of nineteen. Hugh then contracted Hepatitis C from the blood transfusions, which caused his depression and made him attempt suicide. Years later, he was stabbed above the heart, collapsing his lung and coming within a fraction of entering his heart cavity. The CAT scan from the stabbing found that he had an aortic aneurysm. His oxygen level would not stabilize until they found a hole in his heart. Six months later, his lungs began filling with fluid caused by the stabbing, and he stopped breathing during the procedure. God has been with him every step of the way and has truly blessed his life.https://www.amazon.com/Squeaking-Wheels-Comans-Sussex-Virginia/dp/1647735602https://squeakingwheelsofcomanswell.com/http://www.ReadersMagnet.comhttp://www.bluefunkbroadcasting.com/root/twia/11923hmrm.mp3
Hour 1 Aaron Rodgers took to Instagram yesterday to say he will ‘Rise again'. Who could be available at QB later in the season if Zach Wilson isn't getting it done? If the Vikings season isn't going anywhere, could Kirk Cousins be available at the trade deadline? Boomer is lukewarm on that. Gio said watching Cousins in the QB documentary, you know he would work incredibly hard to learn the offense. Boomer said the immediate future is Zach Wilson. Jerry is here for an update but first we heard audio of Evan and Tommy Luguaer yelling at each other about Giants/Jets expectations. Rob Saleh said the locker room is in good spirits and believes in the team. Dalvin Cook said Aaron Rodgers was a big part of him coming to the Jets. Mike McCarthy talked about the toughness of Rodgers. Davante Adams said this is like ‘a horrible movie'. Daniel Jones is expecting an attacking Cardinals defense. Chris Jones met the media and said he keeps receipts on what the media said about him on Twitter. In the final segment of the hour, Gio can't believe OJ Simpson still puts out videos about fantasy football after getting away with killing two people. He also made a 9/11 joke and the hosts had a good laugh about it. Dopes. Hour 2 Gio finally bought a tuxedo yesterday and was talking sports with them. The main question was, ‘are the Giants as bad as they played Monday night?' Gio said if they lose to the Cardinals, the Giants fans will begin to turn on them. Boomer said it's a ‘bounce back spot'. Boomer said some of the Giants' offensive players looked intimidated by the Dallas defense. The Giants have to win this game convincingly. Squeaking by with a win against the Cardinals will not cut it for fans. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Rob Saleh talking about the talent they have on the team and the ‘do your job' mantra. Stefon Diggs said he feels bad for Garrett Wilson now that Rodgers went down. A Bills reporter was caught on a hot mic saying that Stefon Diggs will say ‘F You' to your face. Adam Silver talked about stricter rules for teams resting players. In the final segment of the hour, Roger Goodell was on First Take but didn't allow Chris Russo to partake in the interview. Hour 3: The Jets are going to be ground and pound against the Cowboys if they can run it against this defense. Everything has to be in the game plan including fake punts and onside kicks. The Jets cannot afford holding and false start calls on the offensive line. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Jets players' confidence in Zach Wilson. Mike McDaniel reacted to Tua being named ‘offensive player of the week'. McDaniel also talked about ‘the purest form of life'. There were robots at the Chargers game that looked very realistic. In the final segment of the hour, Time Magazine has an issue about leaders of the future called The Time100 Next.. They have an athlete on the front cover. We discuss. There are a total of 7 athletes out of the 100 people. We went over all of them. Hour 4 65 percent of the Giants drop-backs against the Cowboys were under pressure according to just released statistics. We also talked more about Zach Wilson and the Jets going forward. A caller bet $500 on Aaron Rodgers to win the MVP based on what Gio said. We also talked about how much better the surgery will be for Rodgers than it was for Testaverde and Marino back in the day. Jerry returns for an update and says John & Suzyn are not doing any of the games in Pittsburgh. He revealed who will be taking their place. Dalvin Cook talked about coming to the Jets because of Aaron Rodgers and now he's out. Brian Daboll talked about having to move past the Cowboys game. Nick Siriani talked about playing on a short week earlier in the season where there's not a lot of wear and tear yet. Matthew Stafford is confirmed to do season 2 of the Netflix series, ‘Quarterback'. The Moment of The Day involves Chris Russo having to leave with his tail between his legs. In the final segment of the show, we heard some play by play by Emmanuel Berbari, who will be filling in for Suzyn this weekend in Pittsburgh.

Hello and welcome to the 33rd episode of my trip! Today's episode is the tenth one of our road trip across Canada and the USA. When leaving to backpack the world this year, we always intended to return to our campervan in Vancouver and drive to the East Coast in July. In this episode, I am covering our amazing time on Prince Edward Island which is a province on an island. We kick off this episode with one of the best buys of all time, picking up some spuds for $5 from a local farm. Then we checked out the capital Charlottetown as we started to see those colourful houses. Naturally, we strayed over to a couple of National and Provincial Parks. To finish off our time there was one of my favourite beaches on my travels this year, it was out of this world! Stunning colours and scenery in this one and what a place to visit!!The places visited - Prince Edward Island - Charlottetown, Cavendish National Park + Red Point Provincial ParkTotal KMs - what are these?Patreon Shout-Out - Thanks to Laura Hammond for supporting this podcast, she does so by purchasing a membership every month on my Patreon. Perry Mason 52-03-11 (2216) The Squeaking Witness Chair
The Perry Mason radio show is an American old-time radio program that aired from 1943 to 1955. The show is based on the fictional character Perry Mason, a brilliant criminal defense lawyer created by author Erle Stanley Gardner. The radio show was produced and directed by the legendary William N. Robson, and it starred several actors as Perry Mason over its twelve-year run.The Perry Mason radio show was one of the most popular and enduring detective dramas of the golden age of radio. The show followed the exploits of Mason, as he defended clients accused of various crimes, ranging from petty theft to murder. The cases were often complex and challenging, and Mason used his keen intellect and legal expertise to uncover the truth and exonerate his clients.Like the books and later television series, the Perry Mason radio show was known for its attention to detail, clever plot twists, and surprise endings. The show's popularity led to several spin-offs and adaptations, including films, television shows, and comic books. Despite ending its run in 1955, the Perry Mason radio show remains a beloved classic of the golden age of radio and a testament to the enduring appeal of the Perry Mason character. These episodes have been digitally remastered and are presented by SolvedMystery.comFor more information about this and other old time radio programs please visit:https://www.solvedmystery.com .

Babs barely got through the big party this past weekend without a drink - but she did!! It's a shortie episode for y'all cause let's be honest, life is exhausting.
There is one spot left in round 2 of the playoffs who will take it? Cranky Hank or Squeaking Willy
Begin, by a country church on the hills above Harlow in Essex, and at the foot of a jovial fir tree, hushed by warm wind. It's a sunny afternoon and a blackbird is singing in the secluded churchyard of St Mary's, Gilston. Wood pigeons are sunning their wings on the old slates of the church roof. Great tits call from the long hedgerow that forms a natural boundary to the open fields beyond. The open fields beyond. You slip into a daydream, and imagine yourself not beside vast open land, but beside a vast, and open sea. You can almost hear the waves lapping. No, not quite lapping, it's more that they're washing in. Washing in on an incoming tide, from the cool expanse of the North Sea. You're on the Blackwater estuary, listening to the waves coming in. Playfully flowing over tiny, feather light shells, that form a carpet under your warm, bare feet. Hot noon sunshine. Eyes blurring. Rising thermals from the dense sedge grass, and a heat haze to make you think you're in a dream. Now you're on Wallasea Island, a little further down along the Essex coast. A nature reserve, and a home to wild birds and countless buzzing insects. It feels like high definition. Pristine and taught with high frequency sound. The aural evidence of an ecosystem that's being nourished with more of what it really needs to exist. Bask for a minute, in its existence. Its intense August heat, and all its life-affirming sound. And then, to a different kind of place. A creek, along which gulls and redshank and curlews swoop and fly as they hunt for food. A place where sea water ingresses inland, to blend with rolling farmland fields and little collections of homely houses and a beach with gnarled wooden groins. This is Landermere Creek near Thorpe-le-Soken. A cool summer's day with a big sky, a day of changeable weather. Rain clouds are approaching the creek, Dark grey. Heavy. But the birds are flying headlong, all the same. You follow the rain clouds, inland. Float over miles and miles of land, criss-crossed with rivers, and roads, and strips of woodland, and buildings and settlements. Towards, but not quite, to London. By now the clouds are out of rain, and are now, just clouds. Below is a lake, No, a collection of lakes, Darkening, but that still just about reflect the clouds. The dusk is rapidly gathering. Far below, on the ground, on the thick overgrown ground that forms one bank of a large lake-like pond known as Norman's Pond, the dark bush crickets have come out. Cricketing their sharp, precise stridulating sounds to each other. Then along comes a creature. A small mammal, of some kind. Squeaking, like a children's toy. Can it be real? Where has it come from? It comes, and goes, through the leaf litter, on its jerky, squeaky way. Perhaps the swans, out dabbling on the smooth still water, will know... ---------------------------------------- These minute segments are taken from the following full episodes: 65 Songs from the churchyard (50 minutes) 81 Rising tide in the rock garden (37 minutes) 80 A doze in the grass on Wallasea Island (39 minutes) 79 Essence of estuary (32 minutes) 54 Lee Valley Park at night (45 minutes) We're sharing these mini daydream adventures while we gather new material over the summer. Full-length episodes will return in September. Thanks for listening to and supporting Radio Lento, a podcast for anyone who loves authentic captured quiet. Robinson had the lead role of Steve Wilson, crusading editor of the Illustrated Press, from 1937 to 1942. PRODUCTION NOTE: Our name has changed but our levels of delusion and derangement have not! Lit By Moonlight is now Normal About It - where we're anything but! We both received an INSTANT serotonin boost while watching the Season 4 premiere of FX and Hulu's What We Do in the Shadows! In this episode, we break down all of our favorite parts of the first and second episodes of the new season. It's safe to say that we're very much all aboard the nandermo train, Emberlin would literally die for Nadja, and one joke, in particular, was too tailored towards Kaitlin's idiotic sense of humor that she couldn't breathe. Perry Mason is a radio crime serial based on the novels of Erle Stanley Gardner. Broadcast weekdays on CBS Radio from 1943 to 1955, the series was adapted into The Edge of Night which ran on television for an additional 30 years. Production. The 15-minute continuing series Perry Mason aired weekdays October 18, 1943 – December 30, 1955, on CBS Radio. Geared more towards action than courtroom drama, it mixed mystery and soap opera, with attorney Perry Mason sometimes even exchanging gunfire with criminals. Erle Stanley Gardner's literary success with the Perry Mason novels convinced Warner Brothers to try its hand, unsuccessfully, with some motion pictures. However, the Perry Mason radio show stayed on the air for 12 years. As The Edge of Night, it ran for another 30 years on television, but Gardner disliked the proposed daytime television version due to a lack of his own creative control. He ultimately withheld his endorsement of the daytime TV show, forcing the name change.
