Families have been central to TV shows almost since the invention of the medium. Now, in a special Patreon-sponsored episode, the Great Pop Culture Debate wants to look back at TV families past and present to determine the best TV family of all time. Join Host Eric Rezsnyak, GPCD panelists Amma Marfo and Amy Pilott, and Patreon sponsor Steve Nikoloff as they discuss and debate 16 of the most important families in television history. In 1961, the anthology television show “Family Classics” released an hour long episode adapting Jane Eyre. It starred Sally Ann Howes as Jane and Zachary Scott as Rochester. Unfortunately this episode has never been officially released, but an audio recording of the show has surfaced and Charlene breaks down why she feels it's the best of the hour-long American adaptations of Jane Eyre. This is a rare solo episode in which Charlene can enthuse over this version and insert audio clips to illustrate all the best moments. If you like your Jane Eyre adaptations sappy, romantic, and GOTHIC, you might like this one. The full audio of the adaptation is on youtube here: https://youtu.be/GxHWF0AjC2g ---- Our theme song is “You Live In My Heart” by Zakhar Valaha. Kaitlyn and her forever LA co-host, Lo VonRumpf, are in studio Zooming in with the three Culpo sisters, and trust us when we say this pod is full of laughs, unfiltered truths, and plenty of confessions. Olivia, Aurora, and (a slightly tardy) Sophia are sharing all the deets behind their new reality show on TLC, including the highs and lows of filming with family and how they deal with the inevitable negativity that comes with displaying it ALL on TV. They're also spilling their last Google searches, identifying which Culpo is the loose cannon of the family, and divulging which sister gave her significant other a hall pass (plus, how it all unfolded…). And, stay tuned to the end to find out why Kaitlyn & one of the sisters are going to toilet paper a house together (watch out, trolls). Thank you to our sponsors!
