I'm stirring the pot by challenging the notion that "one day at a time" is exclusively an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) mantra. Inspired by the narratives of sober celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Ben Affleck, we explore how this mindset extends beyond sobriety into our everyday human experience. Many high-profile individuals emphasize the daily struggle of sobriety, perpetuating the idea of living as if every day is day one. However, what if we shift our perspective? What if "one day at a time" is about setting a positive tone for each day, irrespective of addiction? We'll delve into the concept of starting each day with a clean slate, focusing on creating a fulfilling and positive experience rather than merely surviving without alcohol. This episode encourages us to see sobriety not as a lifelong battle but as an opportunity for continuous growth and development. We'll discuss the importance of a healthy morning routine, positive self-talk, and setting exciting daily intentions. Join us as we redefine "one day at a time" to mean embracing the human experience, focusing on personal growth, and creating a life so fulfilling that alcohol becomes an irrelevant thought. Tune in and discover how to transform your daily routine and mindset for a happier, healthier life. Key Takeaways: -"One day at a time" is a universal concept, not just for those in recovery. -How shifting focus from avoiding alcohol to embracing life can lead to lasting sobriety and fulfillment. -Practical tips to enhance your daily routine and mindset for a better, more positive life. Exercise of the Week: Try disabling your snooze button and wake up with your first alarm. Begin your day with gratitude and positive affirmations. Notice the difference in your mindset and daily experiences compared to days focused solely on avoiding alcohol.

Sabrina is in the studio with Sonia C.! However, they're both a little bit under the weather. Sabrina unintentionally spread a bit of a cold virus to Sonia C., so her voice might not sound like her usual self today. Sonia T. is in New Orleans and can feel the springtime moving in the air.    This week's theme is about: The connection between your imagination and your intuition.   Highlights: Spring is coming!!! [1:00] Your imagination is the portal into your intuitive spirit. [3:00]  How does Sabrina's intuition work? [4:30]  It doesn't matter what age you are, you can always improve your intuition. [8:00]  Your social media usage can distract your ability to imagine. [13:00] We get so attached to the idea that things have to be or look a certain way, but why? [19:00] It's not about your timing, it's about divine timing. [23:00]  Tool of the week. [29:40] Question of the week. [34:40]   We often think our imaginations are for kids or for ‘playtime' only, but really it's an intuitive superpower. Sonia C. wants you to not underestimate your creative and imaginative power as an empath. If you think about some of the most scientific breakthroughs ever, imagination was the spark that allowed it to happen. Everything around us was due to someone's imagination and innovative thoughts.    Sonia C. believes people who remain playful and engage with their imagination have an easier time feeling their intuitive powers. You should try being or even pretending to be psychic for a week, play in this space, and see what things come up for you. Were you right? Were you way off? Laugh about it, but most importantly, experience it.    Tool of the Week: Try tapping into visualization exercises to reignite your imagination and intuitive spirit.    Question of the Week: What should I watch that isn't deeply violent or triggering as an empath?    Continue on Your Journey: More Sonia Choquette at www.soniachoquette.com More Sonia Tully at www.soniatully.com Connect with Sabrina at www.sabrinatully.com Join Sonia Choquette's Vibe Tribe Follow Sonia Choquette on Instagram Follow Sonia Tully on Instagram Buy Sonia and Sabrina's Book You Are Amazing Ask your intuitive questions at: itsallrelatedpodcastquestions@gmail.com Masterclass: You're Glorious Life by Sonia Tully Heart-Centered Intuition Workshop with Infinity Foundation

Sonia C. and Sonia T. are having a brief movement of reflection as they enter into the New Year. Sonia T. wants to do a couple of things differently this New Year and that's to lean more into her routine. Sonia C. gets it. As we grow as people, we become more aware of our own blindspots and what we need to spend extra time on to keep ourselves grounded.    This week's theme is about: 2022 Reflections and the year ahead.    Highlights: Do you ever feel conflict? Sobia C. feels it all the time. [2:20] 2023 i the year of awareness for Sonia C. [2:50]  Sonia T. has not achieved any single goals she set for herself in 2022. [3:30]  Instead of goals, Sonia C. is focused on priorities. [4:20] Surprisingly, Sonia C. has not made it a priority to make new friends in the last 8+ years. This year she is changing that. [6:20] Question for the listener: How do you distinguish a should vs. your intuition and your heart? [6:30]  Intuitives tend to be the problem solvers/the garbage can absorbing all the trash in relationships. [10:50] Sonia C. and Sonia T. reflect on a terrible live play they recently watched. [16:00] How do you get started in manifesting your dreams and desires? [21:25] Emapths try so hard to make everyone around them so happy. [25:40]  Tool of the week. [27:20] Question of the week. [30:10]   Sonia C. isn't as interesting as creating new goals or resolutions this year. However, she does want to lean heavily into having more awareness for herself and her surroundings. Sonia T. loves that her mom is not intensely focused on goals. As Sonia T. was looking back at her journals with her long list of aspiring goals, she realized that she had way too many. She had 47 goals!    Sonia C. does love goals though! She might have to sit and reflect a little bit more on this; Whether she's going to go with the flow this year or have some sort of gilding, although light, direction. Because she has such a go-go attitude and vibe, maybe having one goal per quarter will help keep things calm, collected, and grounded.    Tool of the Week: Try less hard to make others around you so happy or to make things ‘nice'.    Question of the Week: What do you do to get back into your good vibes when you're feeling blah?

It’s also where I met Maddi Niebanck (@MaddiStrokeOfLuck). She regularly does live broadcasts there and includes guests from time-to-time. After one of those broadcasts, I knew I wanted to talk with her on the show. Maddi had her stroke a few days before I had mine. We were both going through rehab thousands of miles away from each other at the same time. And now she has a new book coming out. We talk about that and more in this episode. Bio Madeline Niebanck graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, in May of 2017. A few days later she went to the hospital for a planned surgery to treat an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). An untreated AVM can result in a serious stroke. During a pre-surgery procedure, though, that AVM gave way and Maddi suffered a stroke. While going through recovery, Maddi wrote her first book, Fashion Fwd: How Today’s Culture Shapes Tomorrow’s Fashion. Readers loved the book, but especially connected with Maddi’s story of stroke recovery. That response inspired her to write her second book, Fast Fwd: The Fully Recovered Mindset. It will be available in April, 2020. We are human. We want things. We strive for outcomes. But what if the desire for attainment wasn’t what we really need? What if we could cultivate attunement instead of attainment? In this week’s episode, I am exploring the idea of cultivating attunement. Rather than striving for outcomes and perhaps being perpetually unsatisfied, consider this a nudge for attuning to what resonates deeply within you. Like an orchestra or chorus attunes one sound to another, we can use the practice of attunement to connect to how we want to feel and practice being in the moment. Show Notes for Genuine Driven Women Episode #14 Don’t Tell Anyone, but I’m in Over my Head! Welcome to the “Genuine Driven Women” podcast, the show where we guide women to reveal their strengths so they believe and can achieve their desired greatness!  Today’s episode is called, Don’t Tell Anyone, but I’m in Over my Head.  We discuss Impostor Syndrome and how to deal with it. MAIN TOPIC To start, I’d like to read a poem, titled Our Deepest Fear, by Marianne Williamson.  Really focus on the words, and if you need to listen again, as I did the first time I heard it – this episode will always be here for you.     Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. _____________ Have you heard of “Impostor Syndrome”? It is that feeling, that fear, that someone is going to figure out that you are not as smart or as capable as they first thought, even though you have proven to be very successful and capable to this point.   This is VERY common, up to 70% of all women and men deal with it. Today, we give you concrete steps to DEAL WITH IT. You may even have the grades, the awards, the salary, and a long list of accomplishments to back yourself up, but still – that nagging belief that you shouldn’t be where you are, continues to haunt you.   In fact, Impostor syndrome really only occurs in High Achievers.  It is not a problem for Low Achievers. So, if you have been feeling like a fraud, it probably only means you have high standards for yourself. As Marianne Williamson’s poem inferred, you should have high standards for yourself, for you were created to let your own brilliance shine. One of the earliest references to this phenomenon was in 1978, in a Georgia State University research paper titled, The Impostor Phenomenon in High Achieving Women: Dynamics and Therapeutic Intervention, written by Pauline Rose Clance and Suzanne Imes.   In the book, The Confidence Code, written by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman (TV News journalists), They said, “We should star in our own production. Often, women just seem to have the spotlight thing backward. We want to shine a bright light on our faults, insecurities, and the outlandish reasons we will surely fail, but when it comes to taking credit or enjoying our triumphs, we step into the shadows, looking at our accomplishments as though we’ve never seen them before.”     Time Machine:   In this segment each week we will give a few points about women that have accomplished a lot! We also will discuss a bit about what was happening to women during the time periods. Someone we think you would like to know more about is: Malala Yousafzai   Inspirational Quote of the Week: “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” -Maya Angelou I really enjoyed this quote when I read it because in many people’s day to day lives we see people that may be sad or they just look like they need a little boost and we can give those people what they need. When I am feeling blue just one nice gesture brightens my mood, even if it is just a “Hi, how are you?”. So I challenge you all this week to be a rainbow to one person who is looking a bit cloudy! Book Review: Genuine driven women read lots of books!  We’ll make sure to recommend a book each week that will inspire you or help you on your journey to success! This week’s book is: The Invisible Leader By Zach Mercurio If you’d like to buy this book in any format, including the audiobook version for less than $10.00, click this link:  https://amzn.to/2DZ4sqD This book discusses why we should leverage the fundamental human search for purpose and meaning, and how that purpose - rather than any one person, is what truly leads and motivates people to do their best.  This book will help today’s leaders, educators, and parents discover, clarify, and deliver their reason for existence―their authentic purpose, and to help those they lead find it for themselves. "The Invisible Leader" is a unique and compelling combination of practical tools, storytelling, research, and case studies which form the basis of a powerful new approach to leadership. It's the dark secret of many small business entrepreneurs – most are a couple of bad months away from total bankruptcy. I learned this lesson the hard way after generating hundreds of millions and having nothing to show for it. While I changed that over the last few years, I am still a work in progress. And many small business owners I know are still living check-to-check. The book Profit First changes all that once and for all. Ask yourself. “What would it be like if I could immediately start taking profit from ny business – this month, and every month from now on? What if I could be permanently profitable?” Click here to download or listen to this episode now. Spiritual Foundations Keeping your accounting straight and your business profitable is not just a good idea – it’s biblical. “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds; For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations.” – Proverbs 27:23-24 Tip of the Week Try this with me: one book, one month, deep. Profit First, by Mike Michalowicz. Feature Presentation: “Profit First, Broke Never” TESTIMONIALS FOR PROFIT FIRST Darnyelle Jervey: “It feels good to be building a business that serves me. Profit First is helping me to live out my mission in my own business.” Bottom Line: $296,763.20 in profit, 258 percent revenue growth, and more than a million dollars in sales. Carrie Cunnington: “My business finances are organized and clean. I’m profitable (yeah!), disciplined, in control and motivated.” Bottom Line: Debt free and posting quarterly profits. Christian Maxin: “I now need just 60 minutes a week to manage my financial planning.” Bottom line: Christian can see the financial health of his business at a glance: $250,000 in new profit and business growth of 20 percent. Paul Finney: “Once you have cash, opportunities start to appear like never before.” Bottom Line: 500 percent growth in weekly sales; costs cut by 20 percent. Helen and Rob Faulkner: “After 18 years of being in business, we finally feel we’re a success.” Bottom Line: Helen and Rob turned around their business and posted a first-ever profit distribution within four weeks of starting Profit First. Notes and Quotes from Profit First: Money problems occur when one of two things happen: Sales slow down. The problem here is obvious when you operate check-to-check and sales slow down: you won’t have enough to cover expenses. Sales speed up. This problem is not obvious, but it is insidious. As your income climbs, expenses quickly follow. Exchanging the newly leased car for a rust-bucket, laying off employees because we’re overstaffed, saying “No” to our partners—all of this is very hard to do because of the agreements and promises we made. We don’t want to admit we’ve been wrong in how we’ve been growing our business. So rather than reduce our costs in any meaningful way, we scramble to cover ridiculously high expenses. We steal from Peter to pay Paul, hoping for another big payout. Most business owners try to grow their way out of their problems, hinging salvation on the next big sale, customer, or investor, but the result is simply a bigger monster. (And the bigger your company gets, the more anxiety you deal with. A $300,000 cash-eating monster is much easier to manage than a $3,000,000 one. I know; I have survived operating both.) “Profit must be baked into your business. Every day, every transaction, every moment. Profit is not an event. Profit is a habit.” THE FOUR CORE PRINCIPLES OF PROFIT FIRST Old “Profit Last” Formula: Sales – Expenses = Profit New “Profit First” Formula: Sales – Profit = Expenses Here’s how you apply the four principles:   Use Small Plates—When money comes into your main INCOME account, it simply acts as a serving tray for the other accounts. You then periodically disperse all the money from the INCOME account into different accounts in predetermined percentages. Each of these accounts has a different objective: one is for profit, one for owner compensation, another for taxes, and another for operating expenses. Collectively, these are the five foundational accounts (Income, Profit, Owner’s Comp, Tax, and Operating Expenses). Those five accounts are where you should get started, but advanced users will use additional accounts (outlined in Chapter 10). Serve Sequentially—Always, always allocate money based upon the percentages to the accounts first. Never, ever, ever pay bills first. The money moves from the INCOME account to your PROFIT account, OWNER’S COMP, TAX, and OPEX (OPERATING EXPENSES). Then you pay bills only with what is available in the OPEX account. No exceptions. And if there isn’t enough money left for expenses? This does not mean you need to pull from the other accounts. What it does mean is that your business is telling you that you can’t afford those expenses and need to get rid of them. Eliminating unnecessary expenses will bring more health to your business than you can ever imagine. Remove Temptation—Move your PROFIT account and other “tempting” accounts out of arm’s reach. Make it really hard and painful to get to that money, thereby removing the temptation to “borrow” (i.e., steal) from yourself. Use an accountability mechanism to prevent access, except for the right reason. Enforce a Rhythm—Do your allocations and payables twice a month (specifically, on the tenth and twenty-fifth). Don’t pay only when there is money piled up in the account. Get into a rhythm of allocating your income, and paying bills twice a month so that you can see how cash accumulates and where the money really goes. This is controlled, recurring and frequent cash-flow-management, not by-the-seat-of-your-pants cash-management.
