Today, I am giving you the pep talk I give myself on so many occasions, when I'm feeling fearful or doubtful, when I need to remember that my path is the most important thing to me, and that my life is only mine to live. I have to mention Ed Mylett and thank him for the inspiration; I've been listening to tons of podcasts, including the Ed Mylett Show, since the beginning of my self-development journey, and Ed's solo episodes have always been the ones I go to when I'm in need of motivation. I recently listened to one that inspired me so much, and I realized I wanted to do for you what he was doing for me, so I decided I'd be your motivational talk this week. I am linking Ed's episode down below. Have you ever started crying for apparently "no reason"? Have you ever had a reaction that afterwards seemed "disproportionate"? Do you ever feel incredibly fearful, even when you rationally know it doesn't really make sense? If so, you were probably feeling triggered. The term “trigger” is a little bit overused these days, but they are real, and they can have a huge impact on our mental health. Stemming from the memory of traumatic or difficult past experiences, triggers are subconscious and irrational fears our emotional memory imposes on us. Today I am going to talk about how they affect us, and more importantly, how to effectively DEAL with triggers and let them go on our own, with no external reassurance (because girl, your trigger, your responsibility). For that purpose, I tell you a little bit about my own journey with triggers, particularly in romantic relationships, and how I've worked on them, both with my therapist and on my own.INTERESTING RESOURCES:Call Her Daddy Podcast episode with Shay Mitchell clip on YouTube.Psych Central (2022) What Are Triggers, and How Do They Form? [Guided Meditation Starts - 17:55]On today's episode, we discuss anxiety & stress. What is anxiety? Why are we living under constant anxiety and stress? Why is it that so often we can't seem to turn off our fight-or-flight response? And, perhaps more importantly, HOW can we help calm our anxiety? We answer these questions and explore the scientifically-proven effects that meditating can have in our stress levels. Meditation, and more specifically, mindful meditation, is a great tool in our 'stress relief toolbox.' Sleep affirmations are a great tool to help reprogram your neural pathways. Your subconscious mind is always listening, even when you're sleeping, and it's all the more susceptible right before you fall asleep. That's why playing affirmations in the background while we rest can help rewire our minds and reprogram our subconscious beliefs.Today, I'm bringing you sleep affirmations to embody your Highest Self, cultivate an attitude of gratitude and an abundance mindset, believe in yourself, love yourself. honor your values, and be kind to you and others. I know, I know… This is not skeptic-friendly. This is actually a very non-skeptic-friendly episode. But this moment would come at some point, my friends. For many, ‘manifestation' is synonymous with ‘the law of attraction', and while it is not the same thing for me, I do feel like this is important information that you need to know. You can decide if you believe in it or not once you've heard the deetz. We go all in on the law of attraction by using Rhonda Byrne's bestselling book ‘The Secret'. You might have watched or heard about the documentary of the same name. Both the film and the book attracted interest from media personalities such as Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres, and it quickly became a phenomenon.RESOURCESBernstein, G. On today's episode, we'll discuss the reasons behind our laziness and procrastination habits, we'll define discipline and talk about the different ways to build discipline and really commit to ourselves, as well as how it is connected to our self-love, our self-trust, and our sense of self-worth. Our word is powerful, and honoring the promises we make to ourselves, as well as sacrificing our immediate hedonic desires for our future self's sake, are some of the highest forms of self-love.Don't allow fear (in the form of laziness or procrastination) to block your (inner & outer) success. Kick procrastination to the curb, build sustainable habits and step out of your comfort zone, because that's where you'll find your success! Here is William Scott's Instagram Reels, the one I mention at the end of the episode. Yeah, I know, last week Valentine's Day happened... But breakups are a part of life, and a part of love. They are part of most humans' journey on Earth, part of our experience, so we should learn how to get over a breakup, how to do it in the healthiest way, and how to grow from it and with it in ways you might not have thought possible. Breakups are among the most transformative experiences a person can live, at least when (and if) you decide to see it as an opportunity to bring about immense progress, self-discovery, self-awareness, self-development and self-love. Heartbreak can make you feel alone/lonely, abandoned, sad, angry, depressed, broken, lost. But it is possible for you to transform your breakdown into your breakthrough.Follow the show's Instagram here! Follow Inma's Instagram here! Check out the show's website here!

The year 2024 just began, and hopefully you've been following (and practicing) our New Year Rituals, or at least just enough so that you've created a Vision Board. (Which is called an 'Action Board' around here. Thank you, Tara Swart!) Today, I'm bringing you the perfect visualization meditation to travel to your future self's life, get comfortable in your Highest Self's shoes and discover how it feels to live your dreams and see them as your reality. This type of practice is not just an amazing motivation and confidence booster in the moment, but it also tricks your brain into believing that whatever it is that you desire most has already happened, that you've already lived it. Your brain will not be scared of whatever it's seen before, so your dreams will not feel as far-fetched and "out of the comfort zone" for your subconscious. That means that you will be more prone to finding and seizing the opportunities that will get you to the life you envision. Enjoy!Follow the show's Instagram here! Follow Inma's Instagram here! All four episodes of The Farewell '23 Series will air on Fridays. On Today's episode, the last episode of 2023, I'm not alone. My friend Julie (from Julie Habits) is joining me, and together we will teach you how to create a vision board, why to call it an action board, why you should make a vision board based on the science behind it and how to do USE it the right way so that it is a powerful tool that helps you manifest your dream life. With the help of the teachings of neuroscientist Dr Tara Swart, author of The Source.Creating a Vision Board/Action Board entails a lot more than building a collage of pictures than inspire you (this is NOT a mood board), it's about truly reflecting about the person you want to become and the things you want to accomplish in life. Julie has prepared a sheet for you to answer questions and think about your life. Here you will find the Vision Board/Action Board Sheet by Julie Habits! All four episodes of The Farewell '23 Series will air on Fridays.Today I present to you the Manifesting On A Loop Remix of the New Year's Resolutions! These are not your average, traditional resolutions; we don't want them to feel unrealistic, unattainable or impossible; we don't want to set ourselves up for failure. Most times, we do. We set the bar too high because we're so motivated that we believe we will comply. But motivation is ephemeral, it's fleeting. So, what can you do? You can start by tuning in to learn why you always seem to 'fail', why you don't seem to have enough consistency or discipline, and learn to set realistic resolutions you can commit to. Showing up for yourself starts by listening to this episode and applying the lessons in it!ALSO! Learning to respect our own limits, and honor ourselves at all times, in any kind of relationship, is very difficult, but it is key in any self-development, self-improvement and manifesting journey. The answer is simple, but not easy: self-worth. Today, I share how I learned this lesson. I have experienced a situation where my limits were not respected and I felt like I deserved better, so I had to gather all of the knowledge I had acquired and transform it into wisdom by putting it into action, which proved to be harder than I thought it would be. We teach others how to treat us. People will only ever do to you what you allow; if you allow a tiny little breach, that breach will keep getting bigger until you have no limits anymore. This week we're discussing a topic that has been mentioned by many as a very difficult thing to do. How do you deal with negativity from the people around you when you're on a self-improvement/self-development journey and you no longer want to engage with negative behaviors or attitudes? It's hard, I know, but there are strategies I share with you on effective, compassionate ways of facing negativity without being negative yourself (judging, lecturing/preaching are NOT the answer: they're negative themselves, and ego-driven). On today's episode, I take you through a 25-minute guided meditation to release anxiety or tension, find inner peace and foster self-love and gratitude for our bodies. It includes breathwork and visualization. First, we will release the heavy sensations of anxiety, worry or tension that you might be carrying inside through the breath. Then, we'll start going in, into our mind, our soul, which really is the Universe itself, and we will follow a staircase made of white light that will take us directly to a place called PEACE, that can be found within you. Lastly, we will look at our bodies, and appreciate all the small miracles they perform each day to keep us alive: our lungs, our hearts, our brains. Our vessel never stops working for us, even when we're asleep, so that we can enjoy a beautiful human experience. We will love our body however it is right now.RESOURCES:Petit Bambou (app for meditation #1): https://www.petitbambou.com/Calm (app for meditation #2): https://www.calm.com/Follow the show's Instagram here! Today, we get a little personal again. I share my current situation(ship?) and how much it is helping me in figuring myself out becase, like my therapist says, all relationships are a mirror where we see ourselves, and we can always learn more about ourselves and get a little extra self-awareness on the way. There are four different attachment styles: anxious preoccupied, fearful avoidant, dismissive avoidant and secure attached. I've learned about my main style and my secondary style of attachment, which account for many of the triggers we all have when dating. On this week's episode, you will understand your subconscious mind, and your subconscious limiting beliefs, a little better: Where do they come from? Are they serving you? Should you ditch them and go for new ones? As Don Miguel Ruiz would say, humans before us have designed a "dream of the planet", or "society's dream", and we've been raised to believe and perpetuate that belief system... But it might be serving you less than you think. If you want to believe that your dreams are possible, you've come to the right place: whatever your mind believes, you can achieve.RESOURCES:Darnall, B. D. (2010) Mirror Therapy. Relationships of any kind can be hard, especially if you have subconscious fears and limiting beliefs stemming from past experiences (with parents, family members, or romantic relationships). Fear of abandonment is a very common fear that holds us back. On today's episode, I get a little bit more personal: I'm letting you in on what I like to call my "self-therapy sessions", where I remind myself of much-needed wisdom I've been lucky enough to learn throughout my self-improvement journey, and that I can sometimes forget. I tell you about my own fear of abandonment, its source, and discuss three different strategies to deal with uncertainty. Uncertainty is the only certainty in life, so we'd better learn to face it with as much peace of mind and inner calm as we can, right? It can be hard, but I've got you, and as you'll discover, you've got yourself.RESOURCES:Ruiz, M (1997; 2018 edition) The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book). Since we were kids, we've been taught to look at the world, and interpret it, in a specific way. We may not be aware of it, but we've been educated in a culture that encourages a scarcity mindset, a perspective of lack. We believe in the Ego, in our victim voice, which is the voice of fear. On this episode, we'll go in on how to step out of that scarcity mentality and choose an abundance mentality, because you are abundant, right now. Abundance is a choice, it is the voice of love, and it gets you closer to your Highest Self. Your Ego is part of the reason why you might perceive challenges, failures, and setbacks as something bad, when you can actually choose to see them as opportunities, and use them to build your path towards greatness, like Obama, Oprah, Michael Jordan, J. K. Rowling or Steve Jobs did.RESOURCESChopra, D. (1996) The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success: A Practical Guide To The Fulfilment Of Your Dreams. Bantam Press, Transworld Publishers.Issa, M. Today, I'll be talking about happiness. What is happiness? How do we achieve long-lasting happiness? Are there different types of happiness? And what are hedonia and eudaimonia? We answer all these questions, and discuss 3 strategies to be happier, or to find a more profound sense of happiness and joy that has nothing to do with immediate, short-term pleasures, and that finds its source in the wellness of the self. I'll talk about how psychological well-being is related to physical well-being, health & fitness, and how these contribute to happiness, purpose and fulfillment, all of them coming from within.RESOURCES:Henderson, L.W., Knight, T., Richardson, B. Today, I tell you about the incredible health benefits (mental health AND physical health) of having a grateful outlook, how gratitude can change the way you perceive your whole life, how it makes you happier and how it can help you in your manifesting journey. I give you different strategies and tools so that you can start adding a sprinkle of gratitude on your everyday life, in order to hard-wire your brain to find more things that make you feel grateful. Nothing in your external life needs to change for that, it all comes from your subconscious mind, and the way you train it.RESOURCES mentioned:Conley, M. Today we go in on how to let go of negativity and complaining when it's a very ingrained habit for most of us... I give you the ways in which you can spot you're being negative or you're mindlessly venting without a real purpose to fulfill, because, sorry to burst your bubble but no, complaining has been proven to be counterproductive and negative for you even if you think you feel better after a venting session. We'll learn different ways of dealing with what's bothering you, such as reframing it, taking action to solve it, or accepting it and letting it go, because suppressed anger is not our goal here either! Let's learn to deal with it in a more positive, healthy manner both for us and for everybody around us.RESOURCES you might want to check out:Olatunji, B. O., Lohr, J. M., & Bushman, B. J. (2007). We're going all in on the basics of Manifesting: what is Manifesting, and what is not Manifesting? What does the human brain have to do with it? Are quantum physics involved? We take a little bit of the science (neuroscience) behind Manifesting and mix it up with some quantum physics interpretations by some (like Dr. Joe Dispenza) who describe the power we have within us to create the life we want by emulating a higher intelligence (dear skeptic: don't panic, believing in a higher power is not necessary to manifest, but I gotta give you the info so you can choose what to believe; you can manifest just by believing in your brain, and I'm pretty sure you don't doubt the existence of that, right?!)We also discuss some other crucial aspects like the importance of taking inspired action and believing in yourself.RESOURCES:Caltech Science Exchange (no date) What Is Quantum Physics? Welcome to Manifesting on a Loop! In today's very special first-ever episode, I introduce myself and dive into my journey and background, so that you get to know your host a little better and understand how this podcast came to be. In spite of what many skeptics believe, Manifesting is so much more than wishful thinking or daydreaming. It's a practice that your host, Inma, has discovered in her self-improvement journey, and that she believes is just another way of saying "making your dream life be just your life," which is very different from sitting around waitin'. This is a skeptic-friendly podcast because Manifesting should not be understood as something mystical, and Inma will show you that proven science can be (and, to her, is) the backbone of Manifestation. If you want to start your journey towards becoming the best version of yourself and making your dreams a reality, this is the podcast for you.New episodes every Monday at 7:00 am CET, starting July 31st, 2023.Follow the show's Instagram here!
